I agree with Biblewriter as to his assessment of the modern state of Israel. Nothing about it comes close to fulfilling the required prophecies. When God finally fulfills those prophecies, the whole world will know it.
Here's a map that compares the land that Israel now occupies (red) with the promised land that Israel will occupy when God fulfills the scripture and brings them into the land. Note: the maps showing the promised land vary somewhat depending on the author's interpretation. I chose this one since it overlays the land they have now with the promised land.

Here's how a person, whose knowledge I respect, sums up the situation, in his article, fittingly entitled, "The Grand Hoax."
"
The Israeli government, today, is made up of unbelieving Jews administering a socialistic government which depends mostly upon the U.S.A. for its sustenance. When the true descendants of the three Patriarchs occupy the Land, they will depend on the LORD their God, and in no-one else will they trust. They will be totally dependent upon the Lord Jesus Christ. And, He will meet every need of His re-gathered people."
The last prophecy to be fulfilled was the destruction of the temple in 70AD, 1948 years ago. All Bible prophecy involves the nation of Israel, but since Israel, as a nation, was set aside in Acts 28: 25-27, when Paul pronounced total blindness and deafness upon them when he quoted the curse of Isa 6:9-10 for the 7th and last time in scripture, the fulfillment of prophecy ceased along with the nation of Israel.
Ac 28:25-27 (& 28)-- vss 25-27 From Isa 6:9-10 - the setting aside of Israel
25 And when they agreed not among themselves, they departed, after that Paul had spoken one word, Well spake the Holy Ghost by Esaias the prophet unto our fathers,
26 Saying, Go unto this people, and say, Hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and not perceive:
27 For the heart of this people is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes have they closed; lest they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.
Then, in vs 28, Paul announced that the salvation of God was given to the Gentiles. When they were given it at the end of Acts, that means they had NEVER had it from Gen 12 thru the end of Acts. Some believe that the term, "Salvation of God", in vs 28, refers to Jesus Christ. That makes sense, since we see in Eph 2:11-13. that, before today's Church, found only in Paul's 7 books written after the end of Acts, the Gentiles were without Christ (from Gen 12 thru Ac 28).
But now (in the present dispensation - starting at Acts 28:28), we are made near to Christ by His blood
Ac 28:28
Be it known therefore unto you, that the salvation of God is sent unto the Gentiles, and that they will hear it.
Without a temple, it's impossible for Israel to keep the law. Since Israel will ALWAYS have to keep the law, they cannot please God and they have been Lo-ammi, not my people, as in Hos 1:9. Today, salvation is an individual thing. Those fake Talmudic unbelieving Jews in Israel are not saved nationally in this 2000 year parenthetical period we now live in, since there is no nation of Israel in God's eyes. They can only be saved, as individuals, by believing in Christ, as in Paul's Gospel in 1Cor 15:1-4. This Gentile era started in about 63AD, so, in about 2063, it will probably (my guess) be over with. Israel will then be back on the scene and prophecy will once again start to be fulfilled., but those clowns now in Israel will be 2nd rate, at best.
