Yes you did. You said that you willfully disobeyed Him, knowing it was wrong and did it anyway. You said that you put your own will above God's, even though you knew it was wrong.

I get uncomfortable with Paul's pride in the telling of his confronting Peter. Peter didn't sin. He sat with the Gentiles and accepted them. But he also ate with the Judaizers who were weaker than the Gentiles. Paul did the same thing! To a Gentile, he became a Gentile, and to the Jews, he became a Jew to win whomever he could to the Lord.

Peter sinned.

You're accusing Paul now of pride? Paul was confronting Peter's bigotry.

Nevertheless, it is Paul himself who spoke of the continual struggle we ALL have with the flesh vs the spirit, and that is because as it is written the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak.

I willfully sin. Does this mean I'm not a Christian?

Most of us willfully sin each and every day. Although it should make us feel sick inside. Repentance should have been my middle name.
For those who do not Repent -- probably not saved?

One can't go out running around sinning on purpose continually and think nothing bad will happen.

Oh I'm okay I'm covered by grace.
Don't count on it lost one.

ROFL Paul did the same thing, but when Peter did the same thing as Paul, suddenly he got puffed up.

Paul was not bigoted. He was a missionary to the Gentiles. He was dealing with the very real bigotry that was displayed against the new believers who were Gentiles by the Jewish believers. Peter would secretly eat with the Gentiles because he feared the Jewish believers would get angry with him. When Paul heard about this he HAD to stop it.

Paul never demonstrated any bigotry against anyone.

The problem why many are still weak in the faith is because in many churches, the Holy Spirit is hardly mentioned anymore. Visions of babbling and rolling on the floor, I expect. This is why many still willfully sin. But the Holy Spirit's evidence in the life of a Christian is power over the flesh - sin.

He makes us dead to sin - we are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, and the Holy Spirit is the seed in us that makes us born of God.

Unfortunately, saying this and expecting everyone who says they are a Christian to "see it" is like explaining the color blue to a blind person. “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’

Neither does anyone here practice sinning willfully or consciously.

And yes, our flesh IS weak. THAT is why we need to put on the full armor of God and be armed with His Sword, which is God's Word.

As it is written, the enemy prowls around seeking whom he may devour.

It is GOD Who strengthens us.

Not "us".

AS it is written, we can do NOTHING in our own strength.

Nevertheless, accusations and name calling and the condition of the heart that would harbor such things is a sin.

I don't harbor anything against you. It would be like blaming a scorpion for being a scorpion. Those barbs you are throwing fall off me like I'm protected with Armorall. You are who you are, and only can understand what you want to when it profits you. But the funny thing is. What I'm telling you could prosper you immensely!

Nevertheless, name calling, false accusations, and an attitude of the heart that would emote such things, again and again is in desperate need of God's forgiveness and grace. It is sin. Chock full of it.

The only "barbs" in this thread are coming from you.

Brother, Why you judged postively without knowing others heart?. You have to speak for yourself right, but you generalised meaning that a Christian will not willfully sin.

2 Peter 2:20-22
"For if, after they have escaped from the defilements of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and they are again entangled in these things and succumb to them, the last state has become worse for them than the first. For it would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness than having known it, to turn back from the holy commandment that had been delivered to them. The statement of the true proverb has happened to them, "A dog returns to its own vomit," and "A sow, after washing herself, returns to wallowing in the mud."

The thread speaks for itself, brother.

It is clear where some hearts are.

Prayer is needed.

You keep telling me I said something I didn't. And when I explain, you repeat the false accusation. Look in the mirror. I'm trying to help you see one of the most wonderful truths in the gospel. Not the weak one you've believed.

No, the thread speaks for itself.

Prayer is needed.

God help us.
