I am a Christian and I do have experiences that would be called Psychic. I don't speak to the dead, things just reveal themselves in a way similar to synesthesia. Although there are time that I think it is the Holy Spirit there are times where seemingly random things are revealed to no apparent purpose. Trivial things. For that reason I call it psychic. Though I am apprehensive to call it that.

I think synesthesia is a function God placed in us to comprehend spiritual things that are happening in a physical way we can comprehend. In my opinion the term psychic means synesthesia awareness, while what we know medically as synesthesia is a naturally derived over activation.

I think the Holy Spirit might in some cases use this function. But being psychic is just a biological condition. What you do with it will determine if its right or wrong.

I am personally apprehensive of the term "Christian Psychic". It sounds like the person thinks he holds an office, as if God placed that person as a prophet. I am not a prophet and neither are they. Experiencing that sort of thing should be humbling and make one extremely cautious of everything they do. Not running around like they are appointed by God. One can help in the church but its not a birthright, it has to be guided by wisdom and sobermindedness. It needs to be given up to God. Any other way and they will sow evil as if it were good.

Going forward I would be especially cautious of this growing trend. The Bible seems to indicate that we will enter a time of false signs and wonders. We can see this in the new apostolic reformation and I worry it will burst forth into the rest of the church.

Some people actually call themselves a ‘Christian Psychic’. This makes no sense to me. WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS

Psychics In The Bible | Can A Christian Use A Psychic?

And the Word of God says
Galatians 5:19-21King James Version (KJV)
19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,

20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,

21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

It's pretty easy these day's to be a Christian and lable everything foreign to you demonic. But for the most part the whole new age is a load of hogwash.

I would say that being willing to call yourself a Christian Psychic might just
cause some young people to be more willing to discuss salvation with you........
than if we were too good to give ourselves that label.

I would say that it is OK to call this man a Christian Psychic.......
but... I believe he has the gift of Knowledge....
so that he can pray more effectively for people's healing.

Todd..... asks for wisdom from God a lot......
and his prayers for wisdom have been answered.

What is the Christian view of psychics / fortune tellers?

Question: "What is the Christian view of psychics / fortune tellers?"

Answer: The Bible strongly condemns spiritism, mediums, the occult, and psychics (Leviticus 20:27; Deuteronomy 18:10-13). Horoscopes, tarot cards, astrology, fortune tellers, palm readings, and séances fall into this category as well. These practices are based on the concept that there are gods, spirits, or deceased loved ones that can give advice and guidance. These “gods” or “spirits” are demons (2 Corinthians 11:14-15). The Bible gives us no reason to believe that deceased loved ones can contact us. If they were believers, they are in heaven enjoying the most wonderful place imaginable in fellowship with a loving God. If they were not believers, they are in hell, suffering the un-ending torment for rejecting God’s love and rebelling against Him.

Does the Bible take a position on clairvoyance and parapsychology?

offended God by my involvement with divination and the Occult

Zechariah 10:2 - "The idols speak deceit, diviners see visions that lie; they tell dreams that are false, they give comfort in vain. Therefore the people wander like sheep oppressed for lack of a shepherd."

Leviticus 19:30-32 - "Observe my Sabbaths and have reverence for my sanctuary. I am the Lord. Do not turn to mediums or seek out spiritists, for you will be defiled by them. I am the Lord your God. Rise in the presence of the aged, show respect for the elderly and revere your God. I am the Lord."

Jeremiah 29:8 - "Yes, this is what the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel, says: 'Do not let the prophets and diviners among you deceive you. Do not listen to the dreams you encourage them to have.'"

Exodus 7:11 - "Pharaoh then summoned wise men and sorcerers, and the Egyptian magicians also did the same things by their secret arts."

Deuteronomy 18:10-12 - "Let no one be found among you who sacrifices his son or daughter in the fire, who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, or casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead. Anyone who does these things is detestable to the Lord, and because of these detestable practices the Lord your God will drive out those nations before you."

John 3:15-17 - "That everyone who believes in him may have eternal life. For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him."

John 3:35-36 - "The Father loves the Son and has placed everything in his hands. Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God's wrath remains on him."

John 14:5-6 - "Thomas said to him, 'Lord, we don't know where you are going, so how can we know the way?' Jesus answered, 'I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. 7If you really knew me, you would know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.'"

Luke 11:8-10 - "I tell you, though he will not get up and give him the bread because he is his friend, yet because of the man's boldness he will get up and give him as much as he needs. So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened."
