It's both. When one knows that one's country is chock full of sin and evil, and there is the wanton shedding of blood of innocents, we certainly DO stand in for our country and seek God's mercy and forgiveness, and pray for our country, all the people, and ourselves.

Once G-d has given AUTHORITY and power.......
and jurisdiction to somebody.... their prayer can be representative of
the prayers of a much larger group of people.

Yes, we ARE to pray for our country, and for such evils that hide in darkness to be revealed, and that God shines His TRUTH and his LIGHT right into the midst of that darkness, piercing it, and sending all that hide in that darkness to scattering.

We should be aware that this happens sometimes..... at the minimum with drug gangs who use voodoo or santaria or other practices...... but how wide spread is the human sacrifices....... That is the question.

Aah, i see you perhaps misunderstood my post?

Even if there is a remote possibility of it happening, yes we are to pray. Even if we do not "witness" it, and it happens in the dark and in secret, we are to pray, and that is why we do not witness it, we are to pray. By the way, there are survivors of ritual abuse who have witnessed human sacrifices. This thread is not the only mentionof it.

God knows if it is/has been happening, brother.
