How about treating them with dignity and respect, as we would hopefully treat our own children, and love them and care for them as Jesus would have us do?

Maybe their existence in this country is a political issue to be solved, but the problem does not negate the responsibilities we have under the command to love God and neighbor.

Did we choose where we were born? No. We should take no pride in that. But for the grace of God go I. God loves these kids as much as American kids. I have seen the slums in other countries. I know every parent in the USA would do the same to try and better their lives for their kids. Which is exactly what our ancestors did to the people already here. Kids come here all alone as well, risking their lives to work and try to get out of severe poverty instead of getting to be kids. Did you know we contribute to their poverty by going over to their countries and using slave labor? For example, Ralph Lauren uses people in Honduras. Most seamstresses are out of job and nearly blind and/or disabled by age 30 from many hours of slave labor hunched over a sewing machine and receive tiny wages leaving them in dire straights (Cited in the book, Enrique's Journey). If you want to point the blame, point it back at the 1% CEOs who are getting richer every single day off the backs of slave labor and child slave labor. Hold those evil people, including Trump, who uses other countries to make his products, and republicans and every liberal who do the same. You are duped into thinking this is a "illegal alien" problem but it is a greedy people problem on both sides of the issue and you and I are benefitting from it. Why aren't we marching in the streets demanding the end of slave labor for our benefit?! Isn't that the Christlike thing to do? Of course we are all guilty of this. We use cell phones, computers all made by slave labor in places like China. Where is our outrage for them? Out of sight, out of mind?! Make no mistake, I am not for open borders but we as a Nation need to end our racism, end our greed and stop being ok with our major companies using slave labor and polluting other countries so we can continue to benefit and they can get richer. When we clean up our house then we can stop having people entering illegally. Until we stop this sin this will continue to be a problem. We are abusing these people and shame on us for not putting the blame on CEOs who not only benefit from it but lure them over here and for putting factories in other countries so we can have even more slave-labor benefits. It is disgusting and God is not fooled! Remember, if we do the right thing, which I think we should, it would mean the end of your cheap strawberry clamshells at Walmart for $2.99 many picked by illegal aliens, some kids. You will pay so much more for American-born people to pick your fruit. It is hard work. Just go to a U-pick farm on a really hot day for eight hours and imagine doing that day after day.
