...and yet ABC is still cancelling her show. Apologizing to SJW's is like throwing blood to piranhas.
It sounds like they are doing the right thing . Since one of the writers left the show. And other cast members of the show seem to not be in agreement with what Roseanne said..And alot of Twitter fans won't watch. Except the right wing side. That seems to agree with her racist rant. Or in denial. Maybe The Fox news channel can show their true colors and hire her. But I think most of the cast members don't want to be associated with Roseanne in this negative way.

Of course she apologized, she is trying to do damage control with her career now. The same way that goofy comedian did, when they had the severed head of Trump.
Thats your opinion, but we cant judge her heart. Besides, biblically speaking, we must love even our enemies. Our enemies dont care about us but we are commanded to love them anyway. Gossiping about them isnt love. Not even when they are responsible for it. She apologised, there is no need to judge her further.

I can judge what is on her mind by her comments. I find that a pretty good clue.

I look to likely motivation, in making her original comments and then in scrambling to apologize, once she saw dollar signs disappearing.

The other reality is, the sponsors who bought ad time during the show, were likely going to bail or at least a good portion of them.

Exactly. She'll be fine. She was fine before this show and she'll be more fine afterwards. As this topic is showing, she has a lot of supporters who will pay her money or see whatever she does next. She has plenty of options, as do most of the people on the show.

Really, I'd say ABC will take the biggest hit from this, which is why it's so odd that so many are quick to throw shade on them for their decision. They had a hit show that appealed to a untapped demographic. The President of the United States was basically giving them free publicity. If they'd wanted to get rid of the show before, they have gotten rid of the show, not greenlight it for a second season. Heck, they wouldn't have brought it back in the first place. It's not like Roseanne's ever been shy about who she is or her opinions. They knew who they were getting in bed with.

Say what you will about ABC, but they're generally not in the habit of throwing away money. If they thought there was a way to spin this and keep the show going, they'd do it.

And it's honestly not even that surprising that it would end this way. Roseanne had a lot to do with why her show took a nosedive the first time. History repeats itself.

And again, let's not forget that for the height of Rosanne's first TV run, Disney didn't own ABC (Roseanne originally aired from '88-'97; Disney bought ABC in '96) -- now they do.

The Mouse can take a financial hit, but not a hit to its family-friendly image.

It's a natural reaction. I can't really say it's either good or bad. It depends on what you hate and why.

Where is this going?

You said you don't believe in sin.

True and she is reaping what she sowed. However, this doesn't mean we are allowed to gossip about R.B. Gossip is a sin, no matter who we talk about.

Love does not remember wrongs, nor seeks its own (1c Co 13)

I feel no obligation nor desire to love Roseanne Barr.

Full of MERCY, thats the wisdom from above. Blessed are merciful, they will obtain mercy. Rosanne appologised, and whether i like her or not i must show mercy to her.

James 3:17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy

What are you talking about? Hate and sin are two different concepts.

Insofar as it confirms that her apology wasn't sincere... considering how quickly she did an about-face once that became clear.

Granted, celebrity "apologies" are almost never sincere, but they're usually talented enough actors to fake it.

Hatred and animosity and vitriol is sin.

If I thought for one second she was sincere, I'd agree with you. She has not shown that she is sincere at this point. An apology of convenience is no apology.
Are you God? Do you know the hearts? Yes sometimes lots of sorrow comes to these entertainment types who say just whatever they feel like saying and they're shocked to see the price is so high to pay, but even that can stun them with a reality check that calling people names is a horrible thing to do. I wonder though why Bill Maher is still looked upon with respect for asking Trump to prove one time that he wasn't part orangutan?

If you do not want to be labeled a racist, then do not do racist things. And for those arguing that comparing black people to apes, please stop.

Comparing Black People To Monkeys Has A Long, Dark Simian History
In the history of European cultures, the comparison of humans to apes and monkeys was disparaging from its very beginning.

When Plato – by quoting Heraclitus – declared apes ugly in relation to humans and men apish in relation to gods, this was cold comfort for the apes. It transcendentally disconnected them from their human co-primates. The Fathers of the Church went one step further: Saint Gregory of Nazianzus and Saint Isidore of Seville compared pagans to monkeys.

Oddly enough, I think if this occurred 20 or 30 years ago, people would not be defending racism... however, nowadays as Aaliyah Qabir puts it, some now feel emboldened to make bigoted statements.

Greater accountability seen as path to shift culture from racism
Whether through corporate educational programs or firing racist entertainers, accountability, more than mere exposure, is seen as a way forward to shift American culture away from racism. Valerie Jarrett, former senior advisor to President Barrack Obama, Heather McGhee, president of Demos, and Tim Wise, anti-racist educator join the MSNBC panel to discuss.

Yes, but im referring to Christians. Seeing how this is a Christian website then biblical doctrine is relevant always.

When applied to Christians. I'm not. And Roseanne was born Jewish and active in the Mormon church.
