Where does the Bible talk about using latrines??
I think it is implicit in there somewhere. However, since the Koran is, I think, quite specific about hygene in these matters and since half the population of Nigeria is Islamic and the rest Christian, this tends to suggest at least a significant portion of the "offenders" are Christian. It certainly doesn't support the notion that the public defecation is a consequence of religion - which was a dumb*
suggestion from the outset.

*dumb= poorly researched, pulled "out of the air", unsubstantiated, offensive to other religions, prejudiced.

Wow, that's so big of you - loving him anyway despite him being Gay.

Perhaps you missed the bit where homosexuality happens in nature all the time - i.e. it's natural...? You might as well love him anyway despite him being alive.

If he were a criminal I would love him anyway (he's a liberal Democrat and an atheist and I love him anyway). Get the picture?

Deuteronomy 23:13
And thou shalt have a paddle (small shovel) upon thy weapon; and it shall be, when thou wilt ease thyself abroad, thou shalt dig therewith, and shalt turn back and cover that which cometh from thee:

The implication being that while in the field the army will observe the same hygiene that is normally practiced......bury yer poop.

According to whom?

According the purpose of the physical apparatuses attached to said homosexuals, whether male or female. Do you believe that hermaphrodites are 'normal'? Do you believe that any physical or mental aberration is still 'normal'? There are more criminals than homosexuals, is criminality therefore 'normal'? If so why do we punish it?

Do you tithe? What is your Church's policy from the pulpit? Who did you vote for last election and what is their view on the issue?

You're trying to make connections that aren't there. I did vote for Trump, and agree with most of his proposals.

The wages of sin is death, not eternal life in torment.

I don't tithe to a church, but do give to various charities.

(Oh goody, the naturalistic fallacy....)

This just means the homosexual couple cant reproduce. However, there are multiple other strong drivers that ensure propensity for homosexuality is passed along genetically to the next generation.

Nature and normality are much more complex than just compatible sex organs. It helps of you stop thinking about individuals and start talking about populations.

Do you believe that hermaphrodites are 'normal'? Do you believe that any physical or mental aberration is still 'normal'?

Homosexuality isn't an abberation. Physically or mentally. Do you agree to that?

That's the minimum buy in to adult conversation (and basic human decency) that I'll require before continuing with this line of discussion with you.

It is quite normal to have a certain percentage of the population be hmosexual. Just as it is normal that a certain percentage of the population has; blue, brown, green or hazel eyes.

Homosexuality isn't normal.
Maybe it isn't normal (as in not everyone is homosexual), but it is natural. Why condemn something that is natural?

By the same measure, people with and albino condition isn't normal, but that isn't condemned in the bible, is it? Same with XXY chromosomal abnormalities (as in naturally occurring hermaphrodites), etc. (that said, Leviticus 21:17-21 shares some pretty discriminatory ideals regarding imperfect people through some birth defects, disease and injury attending the house of God - among them, Dwarves aren't allowed, neither are hunchbacks and of all things, men with crushed testicles...??), There are far fewer people per capita that are of these minorities than are homosexual, but you don't seem to be so keen to treat them with the same contempt as homosexuals... So, do you have the same contempt for Dwarves as you do Homosexuals?

Yep, your posts are dripping in barely disguised opinionated ignorant bigotry about people who, through no fault of their own, are who they are.

:D Oh, Goodness! I learn something new everyday. Unfortunately, this is not for hygiene reasons at all, this is to keep the camp presentable so God will walk into the camp "to give up thine enemies before thee; therefore shall thy camp be holy: that he see no unclean thing in thee, and turn away from thee." - Deuteronomy 23:14 .... because forsake the day God can't stand the foul stench and sight of an unkempt campground.

You're trying to make connections that aren't there. I did vote for Trump, and agree with most of his proposals.
So, the fact that you vote is enough to demonstrate that your beliefs don't operate in a vacuum. Your decisions impact the people around you, because your beliefs direct your decisions about such things as who you vote for and what policies you support. There is a clear as day connection there, I'm afraid.
The wages of sin is death, not eternal life in torment.
Awesome! So for all intents and purposes, us Atheists will be right about our own finite existence if not believing in a God on bad to no evidence is a "Sin" - so no change for us as far as your version of your religion is concerned...
I don't tithe to a church, but do give to various charities.
This is better than thithing I have to admit - do you give to Secular charities as well, or are they all church based charities? Which ones if you don't mind my asking?

I agree that it's "natural" in the sense that it is the natural consequence of something gone terribly wrong.

You asked for an example of a "latrine" from the bible. I gave you one.

Do you think the Israelites pooped on the ground at home? God gave Israel his laws so they would not be like the nations around them. God instructed Israel concerning many hygiene practices under the guise of commanded religious ritual, as they wouldn't understand the true purpose which was to rid them of diseases.

Fast forward to today. Our military still instructs soldiers to dig a "cat hole" and bury their poop, in the absence of a camp latrine.
