Personal attack aside, your post still has nothing to do with the text. How little Calvinists have of mercy, love, and grace.

No, but you could be wrong am I could be right.I never said we couldn’t disagree. At best I would say that while we can both be wrong, we can’t both be right.
And I agree with that interpretation. But there are people in this thread looking at the OT God hates Esau and saying that it is proof that God hates certain people, but when the NT says you should hate your parents, well that really means something else. I don’t read either of them literally. God loves everyone. He hates the sin but loves the sinner.
Very sad. You are, of course entitled to your opinion, but that is all it is—opinion.Oh please, God tells us of and shows his hatred to a lot more people than just Esau. And, he never tells us he loves everyone. He never tells us he loves the sinner. Your doctrines are your own, and not from the Bible. You might love evil people, but God doesn't.
Just because Jesus might have used a figure of speech about hating your parents doesn't mean it's a figure of speech when God says he hates the Canaanites for their immorality and then tells the Israelites to commit genocide against them. Maybe you think genocide is an act of love?
I don't believe Jesus used a figure of speech about hating your parents. If your parents are enemies of God, they should be hated, even your own parents.
Okay. That still doesn’t make your story fit with the text. You can be ignored, you know.
Not likely. No, but you could be wrong am I could be right.
Once again you are claiming that either only you are right or at the worst youre wrong but so is everyone in this thread who disagrees with you. What I and others are arguing—that God loves everyone—can’t possibly be right. Not likely.
How are we suppose to hate in the name of god? Can you give an example of what this would look like?Oh please, God tells us of and shows his hatred to a lot more people than just Esau. And, he never tells us he loves everyone. He never tells us he loves the sinner. Your doctrines are your own, and not from the Bible. You might love evil people, but God doesn't.

I can quote more than a few.....but you like painting incorrect pictures.....I wouldn't want others to think I'm saying anything against Paul's teaching.....wouldnt want to cause others to stumble....maybe this is best done in a private manner.

It can’t possibly be right because scripture doesn’t support it.Once again you are claiming that either only you are right or at the worst youre wrong but so is everyone in this thread who disagrees with you. What I and others are arguing—that God loves everyone—can’t possibly be right.
Sorry I cannot argue with a brick wall, particularly a brick wall who is so very wrong, so I’m out of this discussion.
but we are ALL sinners whether we are Christians or not.No, God doesn't just hate sin...he also hates sinners.
And where does Scripture say that. That is your opinion and nothing more. The Bible is literal but Jesus does speak in symbolic means. However when God said He hated Esau and love Jacob, he was 100% telling the truth.
"Stating or implying that another Christian member, or group of members, are not Christian is not allowed."You can be ignored, you know.
Methinks majj27 has had quite enough to smoke out there...I've seen this kind of thing here before. Sometimes it's as simple as someone dancing right up to the line of calling some a non-Christian or a hell-bound apostate without actually coming out and saying it.
