Father, when we want depression to go away, may we realize it is a state of mind, an evaluation, and a conclusion. Might we come to the conclusion, that we have much to be happy about, seeing the glass as half full rather than half empty; seeing that whatever the negative in our CHRISTIAN life, it is only temporary, until eternal joy replaces it. May we realize we don't have to be defeated when we can experience victory in Jesus. May we remember You are on our side (Romans 8:31) and have planned for us to be on Your winning team, spiritually, emotionally, financially, mentally, and even physically. We will rise from the dead in a gloried body and experience death, pain, and sorrow no more. Instead of fueling our depression, we can starve it and fuel our jubilation. Instead of dwelling on depressing thoughts and situations, we can dwell on the glory and blessing we presently still have, and on that which is to come. May we talk and pray ourselves right out of depression and into Your praise by focusing on the great truths of Your Word. Amen.
