Quite frankly, I am not like them, and true Christians aren´t. I am a filthy depraved sinner, forgiven and covered by the blood of Christ. I sin frequently. However, there is not one sin in my life that I couldn´t care less about what God thinks about me doing it. There is not one sin in my life I dream of committing, look forward to committing, do it over and over and over again, and plan to do again as soon as I can, and don´t care what God thinks about it. That is your unrepentant church member, who has been counseled, prayed with, and joyfully continues mocking God.

Those who do not revoke their church membership are happily mingling the wolves with the lambs. Who is going to be told to hit the road when they tell how they did wonders in His name ? You talk about hypocrites ! The cheapest of cheap grace. God saves you not from your sin, but happily wallowing in your sin, continuously and without remorse.

I don’t think you realize that most people aren’t wallowing in sin, but feel as you do.

I respect what you have said here and I willingly extend grace in appreciation.

The same grace that covers you, is for all others as well.

Christ, Love, bless and keep you always... Brother in Him.

Answered in another post

I chuckled when I saw we were typing at the same time.

We disagree on certain matters... but your honest confession emboldens my expression of Love for you as my brother in Him.

I understand, but no sin feels completely good... and mercy, grace and Love go a long ways... to address what is merely a symptom, instead of a cause.

Alcoholism... Drunk Daily... (Expensive... tying one on, head aches, Liver damage)

Adultery (John Wayne Bobbit anyone?) :)

Drugs... (Self medication for misery and despair)

inappropriate content (Feelings of emptieness)

Hate (Bitter self destructive pill)

No sin comes without immediate costs that hurt and are merely symptoms of painful responses to the misery of living out of His Physical presence...

That’s simply my 2 cents on the matter. In other words... the bigger the sinner, the deeper the need for grace and Love.

Think of the bad boy character from the Breakfast Club... you find out he was abused!

How about that one young girl that won’t stop sexually awakening all the boys... and you find out she’s molested by her seemingly righteous Dad.

I’m saying... the most visibly desperate sinners tend to be those people that are in the deepest need of Grace and Love

All Love to you!

Some are serieus believers...Some are wolves in sheep skin. How do you know who is who?

God knows and the Holy spirit can tell any believer if there is a wolf around. Or if you should give a specific lam special attention.

It is dumb to accept all. Same way it is dumb to refuse everyone. Wisdom is: Ask God to tell you. That is called propecy. Didn't Jesus say he would like every sheep to learn prophecy?

The Law defines Right and Wrong... are you saying you follow it to the letter? James 2:10

Are you saved by Jesus or the Law?

Can you cast stones?

And... again ... you dodged the scripture I posted in the first place.

To be direct.., are you saved by HIS Doing and Right... or “yours”?

If you have a single sin in your life... you better answer back carefully...

He KNOWS ALL and is watching what you say next... ;)

It’s just the Lord of Hosts you would be dishonest in front of...

Why did He come for Sinners and “not the well”?

Do you need a physician?

1It is actually reported that there is sexual immorality among you,
and of a kind that is not tolerated even among pagans,
for a man has his father’s wife.
2And you are arrogant!
Ought you not rather to mourn?
Let him who has done this be removed from among you.

okay so you tell me what this ^ "really" means.

Utter rubbish. The woman being stoned wasn't being stoned by an "individual member". She was being stoned by the community as a group. The group had made the decision to stone her and though Jesus acknowledged her sin, we are not worthy to dish out punishment. It is our responsibilty individually to treat one another with love.
And the same kind of love that disciplines the rebellious child.
I'd rather be told truth than a lie.
I'd rather be told that being sexually immoral is SIN and
that I must "REPENT" (unpopular these days lol)
and be saved, than to be told that God is cool with it, Jesus
paid it all and so I can just do whatever feels right. (and end
up in hell)
What kind of love lets someone burn??

I was in a discussion today and was shocked to hear that some people think that people who are living in sin should not be allowed to attend their church. This truly breaks my heart to hear this. The discussion was using an example of two people who are living together but aren’t married. What are your thoughts?

Looks pretty cut and dried to me.......

Immorality Rebuked
(Leviticus 20:10-21; Proverbs 5:1-23)

1 Corin 5:
1 It is actually reported that there is sexual immorality among you, and of a kind that is intolerable even among pagans: A man has his father’s wife.
2 And you are proud! Shouldn’t you rather have been stricken with grief and removed from your fellowship the man who did this?

3 Although I am absent from you in body, I am present with you in spirit, and I have already pronounced judgment on the one who did this, just as if I were present
9 I wrote you in my letter not to associate with sexually immoral people.
10 I was not including the sexually immoral of this world, or the greedy and swindlers, or idolaters. In that case you would have to leave this world.
11 But now I am writing you not to associate with anyone who claims to be a brother but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or a verbal abuser, a drunkard or a swindler. With such a man do not even eat.

12 What business of mine is it to judge those outside the church? Are you not to judge those inside? 13 God will judge those outside. “Expel the wicked man from among you.”b

Do you believe in the whole Bible? No we are not to be self righteous. That is a sin. But the whole Bible teaches that if a person claims to be a believer, but walks in unrepentant sin and refuses to listen to fellow believers they are to be removed from the church.
If you believe the whole Bible you can't dismiss what it teaches as a whole. No where does Christ or the apostles teach that that we can be self righteous but they both teach that it is okay to speak to others about their sin.
Good post...........

Funny how the “kick em out crew” forget Jesus’ exact words about “The least of these”...

“If you did it to them, you did it to me”

Oh... and who can forget... “Lord, we cast out demons in Your name”.., “Get away for me, I never KNEW you”

Hmmmmm.., Honest Sinners Vs. Hypocrites...

Hmmmmm..., “Lord, have mercy on a sinner like me” ... vs. “Thank you that I’m not like them”

That’s simply my 2 cents on the matter. I agree. I once was a very judgemental Christian, holier than though would have fit my attitude perfectly. Then God brought me to my kneeś, I committed a sin that no one, including myself, would have ever thought I could commit. I learned brutally that we are all in the same boat, lost except by Grace and by faith.

There are good people who stumble into bad situations. There are good people skewered by satan with hideous habits that seemingly cannot be broken. They are all welcome at the foot of the cross. They may freely find forgiveness and acceptance there, no matter their failings or sins. They only need accept the free gift, nd repent of their sin ( repent), turn away. There is power to overcome through the Spirit, but we must co operate with Him and want to overcome. The Churchś responsibility is to pray and help wherever possible. The choice to stand at the foot of the cross means we give everything, we can hold nothing back, we have to lay it all down, We can´t hold on to one sin that we refuse to sacrifice.

People don’t stop sinning upon repentance... and people make mistakes!

Hard heartedness is never the answer and all of the body of Christ will be held accountable for any of the little ones that they help stumble into rejecting Him out of frustration and a lack of grace shown to them.

Spiritual Blood on ones hands is a terrible thing to acquire.

I understand your words and appreciate your sincerity... <3

So Many give it all and maintain struggle while cherishing nothing of sin.... while the outside lookers in... assume that individual is cherishing their sin.

Sin flat out sucks!

Forgivness is a well that never runs dry.

Jesus taught this...

We must stand firm that His Grace is sufficient and His Blood is beyond all power of the devil.

We must hold firm that He died for sinners.

There are many religions that speak of carnal holiness... but only ONE God that laid down His life for sinners.

The power of the enemy cannot be weakened with doubt in the power of Jesus to save, no matter how hopeless the case appears.

Love doesn’t give up! It does not rejoice in evil, but it certainly does not Give up.

I’m thankful for your sincerity and wish you all of His Love, Grace and Peace... Brother in Him.

The power of the blood is being mocked by many that aren’t dressing up that they struggle with sin!

I am thankful for those that confess their perpetual need of Him and their sins!

As for the cast them asunder crew... I am frustrated! He paid our debt and now people are measuring His carnal impact on others!

The brick and mortar church is flat lining!

They are arrogant in pride, and Paul pointed out sin in their midst.

He then asked for forgiveness to be given and specifically stated that anything else is a device of Satan!

The Body of Christ was used as an example of a human being...

Unforgiving people are tools of the Devil!

This is so simple...

1 John 1:8 and James 2:10 combined with Deuteronomy 31:26 and Romans 2:1 show what is going on here!

Romans 2:1 is the razors edge here and people are getting that very edge on this very thread!

How many times are we to forgive and if you literally limit it to 70 X 7 ... you are specifically taking verses that condemn at the literal, while rejecting the verses that exalt mercy!

I simply pointed the scripture out and you rejected it while isolating one verse!

You are contextually avoiding mercy and focusing on condemnation!

This is called grieving the Spirit!

When Boundries trump Mercy and Grace... they indeed become evil! There is no length God won’t go to for a person who calls on His name and shows others the same mercy He shows them...

But...

The parable of the forgiven debtor that was forgiven and then beat a man over a lesser debt stands as a sharp warning!

You people are playing with the Law and I assure you... that is a BAD idea!

1 Corinthians 15:55-56 shows that the power behind death is sin and the power of sin is the Law!

Hebrews 2:14 shows that the Devil wields the POWER of death!

Condemnation comes not from God... but Satan!

The Graceless crew is destroying the Salt!

The Law Of Condemnation is not ours to wield!

Jesus shunned no one but the judgmental!

This is so obvious! The cast them out crew was instrumental in His being handed over to die!

Who did they serve when they JUDGED HIM?

Who did Judas serve? He was a judgmental man!

Wake up and smell the brimstone!

The people were glossing over that their flock was with fault and boasting in and of themselves! Paul humbled the entire flock... then commanded them to forgive the man!

Have you no Fear if the Lord?!?

What part of MERCY is unclear? We love the hopeless and proclaim His Love to the unlovable!

The real boundries are made of STONE!

Sinners judging sinners is a BAD idea!

Not one... that isn’t “THE ONLY SINNLESS ONE”... is without sin!

(Much of) The brick and mortar is becoming a country club of elite judges that drink tainted milk!
