Are there any explanations by any Church Fathers regarding Matthew 2:23 since there are no OT prophecies regarding this? I have my own idea.
Permit this question -Are there any explanations by any Church Fathers regarding Matthew 2:23 since there are no OT prophecies regarding this? I have my own idea.
Permit this question -
since it happened exactly as written, as prophesied at some time or not in TORAH / TANAKH,
what explanation is needed ? Why seek some other explanation ?

You could pm him if you only want his answer if he has one.Is your name ArmyMatt? Because it quotes OT prophecy...prophecies get fulfilled and in THIS CASE IT SAYS IT DOES.
but it does prove the Apostles didn't believe in sola Scriptura

You posted on an open to the whole world public forum.
You also posted 'the answer' , so to speak, and why I asked since it is so obvious -
it happened exactly as written.
Is there something wrong or unclear about the Scripture ? Something was prophesied, and fulfilled. What is wrong with that or what is the real question about that ?

and answer what you asked me in your last post.
LOL, but not so fast, I believe it WAS a fulfillment of a prophecy, just not as it was written/translated.
I have yet to see any OT prophecy that was written which says He is a Nazarene.

Only the same as my first post/question, what difference does it make what they say if anything ? I mean it is directly so simple (what Scripture says plainly), what is there to clarify about this ?To tell you the truth I am only interested in what the Church Fathers have to say on the subject if anything. Can you answer that?

From your other posts, I don't think you actually are asking for an answer - you already have posted other references to the prophecy. What does Scripture plainly say? Do you not understand the question?

So again, (but it doesn't matter probably and no reply needed unless you like), why ask what some other group thought about the prophecy and/or about the fulfillment of the prophecy since you (apparently) already knew the Scripture ?
