In a Bible Gateway search, I found the following:

Pray for Christians - Ephesians 6:18 Constantly ask for God’s help in prayer, keep watch with perseverance always interceding for all of God’s people.

Pray for Israel -
1 Samuel 7:5-9 Samuel prayed for all of the Israelite people and the Lord gave them victory over the Philistines.
Psalms 80:1-19 A prayer for the restoration of all Israel.

Pray for Jerusalem -
Psalms 122:1-6.....all the tribes went up to the House of the Lord. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem, may all who love you prosper......

Isaiah 62:6-7 Jerusalem; on your walls I have posted watchmen, who cry out: You that invoke the Lord’s Name, take no rest and give no rest to the Lord until He makes Jerusalem a place of praise throughout the world.
‘Watchmen’; who cry out to the people who love the Lord and Jerusalem will become the place of praise in the world. Zechariah 14:16-21

Pray for Judah, the Jewish people -
Jeremiah 14:10-12 The Lord says of this people: The love to wander, they go wherever they will. Therefore I take no pleasure in them and even if they fast and make offerings, I will not accept them. Do not pray for the good of Judah, for I shall make an end to them by the sword, famine and pestilence.

Romans 10:1-4 Fellow Christians, my prayer to God is for the salvation of my people. [the Jews] I can testify to their zeal for God, but it isn’t according to the Truth. For they ignore God’s Way to righteousness and try to establish their own way, by not submitting to the Way given to us by God. For Christ is the end of the Law and brings righteousness to every believer who has faith in Him.

A scripture that makes many think that Judah will yet be saved by their ethnicity is Romans 11:25-32. Paul tells us that God has a Divine secret; that God has hardened Judah in order for the Gentiles to receive Salvation. Paul says that God has shut all mankind into the prison of disobedience and it is all the faithful Christians, Jew and Gentile, who have received mercy and who now constitute the whole Israel of God.
Many scriptures make it quite clear that it is by faith that descent from Abraham is proved. Isaiah 51:1-2, Matthew 3:8-9, Galatians 3:26-29, +

Claiming descent by ethnicity, which now; cannot be proved by anyone, is a mistake as Jesus said: Those who call themselves Jews but are not, are of the synagogue of Satan. Revelation 2:9

It is every faithful Christian that will be part of the Covenant that God will make with His people. Hebrews 8:6-10 does say it is with Judah and Israel, but that is a copy of Jeremiah 31:31-33, prophesied before the Advent of Jesus.

We Christians are the Israelites of God, Galatians 6:16, His chosen ones; John 15:16, 1 Peter 2:9-10, and the inheritors of God’s Promises to His righteous people. Romans 8:16-18, Ephesians 3:6 & 1:11-14, Psalms 37:29

Interesting post, thanks for sharing.

I'd like to bring up another point--I don't have a particular direction to take it, it just came to mind, so I'd like to mention it.

In the book of Jeremiah, there's a point where God commands everyone to pray for the good of the cities they're staying in, because if the city prospers, then they prosper.

Thanks Rev Alex. Please give us the verse reference of this prayer.

My point is the OP, is for people to think about who they pray for and why they do it. This is necessary for the sincerity of the prayer and whether it is in God's will for those people or places to receive His blessings.
Organizations like 'Pray for Israel', need to be clear about which Israel they mean, we know there is the visible State of Israel, that needs to acknowledge the Messiah, but there is also the Israel of God, Galatians 6:16, the Overcomers for the Lord; all the faithful Christians from every race, nation and language.
Which one is God most likely to bless?

Pray for me. my life's a mess lol.

Edit, I ask every one to pray for me, maybe if the lord hears every ones prayer for me he will fix my broken life.
Jesus please lead Daniel and give him guidance and forgiving hearts. Amen.
