I think the Rev 12 rapture of the manchild is the picture of the rapture given to us, and when that sign appears related to it is about the time it will take place.

I would not be in disagreement with your statement. But wherever the rapture falls within the schematic, I seriously doubt that anyone is going to be disappointed, even the pre-trib people.

I'm watching this long video. More like listening to it while I'm doing something else. The guy thinks that all of the bad events of the tribulation are going to be squeezed into the last "third". He says God is going to hold back the Antichrist and all of the scary stuff until the last 445 days of a 1335 day tribulation.

Then I found another person who made another video. He thinks that the great tribulation is only going to be 371 days long, which is a Biblical calculation for the time that Noah spent in the ark. It can't be any longer than that because Jesus said that it will be the worst time ever on earth unmatched from the beginning of the world until now, and never to be seen again. So it can't be any longer than just like in the days of Noah or else no flesh would be saved alive..

I did a long look into the Bible's use of "thirds". About a year ago I got the idea that the thing that Jesus was talking about when He said "for then there will be great tribulation" might only be 420 days long or about the last "third" of the 1260 days. The only real hard time frame for supernatural events is the five months of Revelation 9.

We could be living right now within the beginning of the first beast's 42 months of authority. The really bad things aren't mentioned until after the second beast rises from the earth. Just try handing out a Christian anti Sodomite pamphlet during a gay pride parade. Christians are getting sued and charged by human rights organizations with hate crime offenses. You can Google to find cases of this in the US and Canada. Don't look now but the gentiles are trampling the holy city of Citizens right this minute.

So then I looked for some empirical, some physical evidence to prove this out. And I found 420 days sitting right right there in between two celestial events, a conjunction and then an eclipse. The conjunction occurs 49 days, seven "sevens", before the new year and the eclipse happens 5 days after that year is over. Subtract those 49 days from the 420 day piece and we've got the 371 days of Noah tribulation. I thought that I was going to take a stroke when I found two other guys who've arrived at similar findings.

If this theory plays out, the great tribulation will be fast, like lightning coming from the east. It's going to be like when they take a week to set up a thousand dominoes on a gymnasium floor, but then they all fall down in 3 or 4 minutes. I could do a YEAR tribulation with a sleeping bag inside of a culvert pipe.

But the main thing that I wanted to say to you SeventyOne, long story short, if nothing happens when you expect it to, the last seven "sevens" of this year look like the real zone of interest to me.

"For the LORD has a day of vengeance,
a YEAR of recompense for the cause of Zion.

Uh...isn't reconstruction of the Temple one of the key events? Don't think I've heard of any contracts signed with any major architectural / engineering firms for that one. Also, seems like another key is the so-called "kings of the south", which many have taken to mean leaders of Islamic nations. They don't seem to be to willing to cooperate that much so far, given the Sunni/Shiite friction. Finally, name the Antichrist, if he's here in this world now. I doubt you can get anything close to a consensus on that one.

Go on the Temple Institute's website: They have all of the Temple equipment prepared. It is rumored that they have the perfect red heifer of an ancient breed(recently discovered). It is necessary that it not have ONE speck of white fur on it. When it is completely burned to a cinder, the ashes of it will be used to consecrate the new Temple. They have the priestly garments prepared. They thought the shellfish from which the blue dye was produced in ancient Israel (a necessary part of the decorations on the priests robes) was extinct. They just recently discovered that the shellfish is still alive and are now manufacturing the blue dye. Priests from the ancient Kohanim (they know who they are from genetic testing) are being trained in animal sacrifice. The Temple musicians have been trained on harps and lyres. They have the plans drawn and some say that the Temple could be rebuilt in approximately three years. All they are waiting for is for God to act.

If Christ is soon (in the next few years) bringing His Kingdom, the Antichrist is already alive--to be revealed when the Church is removed. In reality, Satan has probably had to have a candidate in every generation for the last 2000 years, because no one has known the time of Christ's return, "even the angels in heaven do not know--only the Father knows". (I'm an old time Baptist who believes in the Rapture.) :)

Edmund Fitzgerald and sdowney717 have listed the two things THAT HAVE TO BE DONE BEFORE JESUS CAN COME BACK.

1. The temple has to be rebuilt
2. The "man of sin" has to be revealed.

When those two things have been accomplished (especially the first one, . . . ) the next marker is that the "man of sin" will stop the sacrificing of animals at the temple, . . . he then has 1260 days left, . . . the 2 final prophets will begin their ministry, . . . and we are 3 1/2 years from the blowing of the 7th trumpet which signals the end of the world as we know it. That is in the end of Revelation the 11th chapter, . . . all after that in the book must be understood to have happened before the end of Revelation 11. It's like the movie on TV that after the first commercial, puts up the legend across the screen "45 days earlier" and you know to put these things back into the history of the program you are about to watch. Revelation 12 through 18 is like that.

I'll watch the video you posted later tonight. I don't have the time at the moment.

I wouldn't agree the Tribulation has started, at least the first half. Daniel 9:27 seems to indicate to me that the start of that timeframe would be signaled by a confirmation of a strong covenant. I can't point to any time where that has taken place yet.

Also, we are told the Beast will initially come as a man of peace. I told the wife a number of weeks ago, maybe it's been months now, that if the understanding of the sign in Rev 12 is correct, and if the Trib follows immediately after the rapture since the AC comes in peace then it's very likely this summer will see a great deal of warfare.

It's been obvious to me, and I've said so on other threads, that Trump seems to me to be the catalyst to get the globalists off their backside and really get things moving, not working with him, but in an effort to defeat him. I think we saw their first real victory over him in the Syrian airstrike. I think it will be a very interesting and deadly summer.

As far as the timing of the events in the Trib, I'm thinking most of them will occur within the second half for several reasons. Maybe it will come in waves and the something like the last 420 days will be the hardest, I don't know. It could be a definite possibility.

It sure is a tough pill to swallow,

Also, we are told the Beast will initially come as a man of peace.

I'm fairly sure that not everything we were told is accurate.

I'll watch the video you posted later tonight. I don't have the time at the moment.

It's a well made video. I talked to the guy, he's from Ohio. A good guy. His stuff is out of the box. But I think that's what it has to be right now.

I wrote some notes going back to 2015 where I said the the abomination of desolation had already been set up and the "holy place" that Jesus was talking about in the Olivet was the United States. I have time stamped posts to prove.

About 9 to 10 minutes into the video, the guy says the same things. I nearly took a stroke.

"and the woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by God, in which she is to be nourished for 1,260 days

A "place prepared by God" is a holy place. In 1492 Columbus sailed the ocean blue, there were four blood moons and God was opening up a new continent. A flood was spewing forth from the dragon's mouth but with the help of men like George Washington and Thomas Jefferson a holy place, the earth would be made ready to help the woman after 1260 years of papal persecution came to an end in 1798. The first nation on the planet complete with a "Bible belt" was to be born when it was previously illegal to be caught with one. In 1776 America was founded and would become a safe place for God's people to own, print and study their Bibles. Prior to this in the dark ages of Europe, entire villages of Christian men, women and children had none of these religious freedoms and were burnt at the stake more often than not for reading or owning their own Bibles. This was the dragon chasing the woman and these estimated 75 million or more Christian martyrs would become the 5th seal souls beneath the alter. Lucifer was the hand that used the early church like a glove which hit the woman very hard during the middle ages. The founding fathers of the USA made sure that church and state were separate, America! America! God shed His grace on thee.

The other beast that is VERY near. Most experts that study machine intelligence expect that in about 15-35 years artificial intelligence will at least equal the ability of humans and quickly surpass it. If left to play out humans would likely be obsolete by the end of this century. There is also a push for humans to augment themselves with technology and become human machine hybrids. This is commonly called transhumanism.

Intelligence more than any other quality is what allows humans to dominate over animals. A machine with intelligence many many times greater than Einstein would be able to dominate humans in the same manner. This machine sounds science fiction but plenty of smart and sane people think this is very near. A super intelligence of this sort would quickly dominate all aspects of human lives and humans would either have to integrate into the intelligence or be considered obsolete.
This technological beast would be the abomination of desolation that inhabits the New Testament temple of the human body by way of being wirelessly integrated into human brains. When a human changes their body in such a drastic manner they are no longer God's creation. God will only save His creation through faith in Jesus. God does not same some man made cyborg abomination.
This technology is considered likely to be able to make humans immortal and have pretty much god-like power. There will likely be no way to fight it or resist it's will.

I do not personally think this fits what is described in the Bible and I believe the Bible to be true. So if the Bible describes humans still in control of the world in the time of Jesus' return, then it only stands to reason that the human antichrist must rise to power quicker than the man made god of technology.

My personal viewpoint is that the rapture happens shortly after Gog / Antichrist sets up the abomination of desolation. When Israel starts losing the war they exercise the "Samson Option" which is described in the 6th seal. A fig tree (Israel) is shaken and stars fall to the Earth. An H bomb and a star are powered by the same physics of nuclear fusion. So Israel is shaken and launches nukes.

So where is the USA in all of this. We are probably distracted in a war elsewhere in the world and unable to help Israel. This allows the Islamic nations to come together to attack Israel while the superpowers are unable to devote resources to keeping the mid east in some sense of order. When the nukes start flying with Israel this sets a tense situation between some combination of USA, Russia, China, etc.... into a nuclear war because someone gets nervous that they are under attack.

Once the Rapture occurs the US will become a backwater full of degenerates. There are so many Christians here that, when they are removed, all hell will literally break loose. The reason why we have the tremendous growth of evil in the last decade or so is because there is little to no fear of God in the land. The Apostle Paul speaks to this issue in Romans 3:18 (as he quotes from Psalm 36:1). All of the atheists I have ever known have been very immoral people. It only takes a few to wreak a lot of havoc. True Christians behave themselves but their numbers are dwindling.

There's not even supposed to BE an Antichrist. Paul just said that even then there were "many antichrists". That's it.
Unless,
of course,
then antichrist,
the beast,
the beast system,
has created a multitude of distractions,
had put in place a lot of untruths, (centuries ago),
preparing for today,
to catch people unaware,
whilst the beast,
whilst the antichrist ,
whilst the beast system
is right in front of everyone on earth, pretending to be friendly and godly.

I wonder why do you think that there are so many Christians in the United States?

We've been the number 1 distributor of Bibles and Christian missionaries.

The only nation complete with a "Bible belt".

The only nation that could fill up a sporting arena for a Billy Graham crusade on prime time TV.

I wonder why?

"What God is doing today is calling people out of the world for His name. Whether they come from the Muslim world, or the Buddhist world, or the Christian world, or the non-believing world, they are members of the body of Christ because they've been called by God. They may not even know the name of Jesus, but they know in their hearts they need something that they don't have and they turn to the only light they have and I think they're saved and they're going to be with us in heaven."

Should Dr Billy Graham Now Be Considered a Heretic?

May Jesus bless you all HalleluYAH

I think that everything the bible tells us is accurate and the bible tells us much about the antichrist and all the terrible things he is <insert long list of nasty business>.

The antichrist will present to the world as (initially) a man of peace, a 'peacemaker' that the world will believe. He will step onto the world stage as the broker of a seven year peace treaty in the Middle East. But it will be a 'false peace' and he will betray the treaty, and the 'covenant' of peace that he brokered will be broken half way through the seven years.

Once that treaty is established the clock can start ticking to the Second Coming (not the rapture) as Daniel outlines very clearly the timeline of these times. I think Jesus may come and get us before this bit begins.

So I am keeping a close eye on peace and treaty talks in the Middle East. It's always been such a 'hotspot' but I've never seen anything quite so political as what is happening now. Great political power is being established with very powerful nations - Turkey, Syria, Iran, Russia.
I feel like I'm watching a chess game.

Meanwhile, I keep looking up. Something is stirring, the world is hurting my heart more and more every day.
I am overjoyed that I am safe in Jesus, because boy, are things going to get ugly!

With all the chaos, terrorism, rumours of war, list goes on... it's pretty hard not to feel like the world is coming to an end. There's so much sin its ridiculous, the mainstream media promotes sin. There's sin literally everywhere. It looks like there's a lot prophesies being fulfilled in the middle east. I just got this strong strong, feeling, that Jesus is close to coming around the corner.
Simple question,... am I the only one who feels this way?

No. I am feel the same way. Heartbroken with the pain of the world, and so profoundly excited that Jesus is on His way.

"America, America, God shed His grace on thee, and crowned thy good with brotherhood, from sea to shining sea..."

That was always a part of our shared ethos and what is concerning is that few "under-fifties" believe this anymore. America-hating has become fashionable since the 1960s because of the abuse of power by the moneyed and political elites.

But...there is hope. Many in their teens and early twenties are newly grateful to be living in their nation--they are much more politically and morally conservative than their elders. A much higher proportion of them say that they would never seek an abortion, for example. We must pray that God will do a new work of grace among us. I think many young people unconsciously notice the difference between Christianity and Islam. Islam, as practiced by most, has no concept of grace and it stands in stark contrast to the grace of God shed on all who repent and pledge their lives to Him.

IMHO when the rapture happens, America will fall. That is not an arrogant statement. As we see more and more lawlessness is abounding, and more and more older saints are dying.People keep complaining about the number of people on Earth, when the truth is, every country is experiencing low birth rates. Now when people who pray are taken out of the way, then you will have chaos and lawlessness reigning. When the saints leave America, America will fall.

But wherever the rapture falls within the schematic, I seriously doubt that anyone is going to be disappointed, even the pre-trib people.
Just from what is written in the Bible, I don't believe that if the rapture happens enough people will be affected to make any difference in most countries, cities and places on earth. It might not even make the news in most places.
(remember over 20,000 people die every day, and how little this affects anyone).

As Jesus Says, when He returns will He find faith on earth ?

The people of the world won't be disappointed no matter when the rapture occurs, or how. They simply pass away anyway, however and whenever it happens,
and it doesn't even enter their minds to call on God for help nor for salvation or healing.

The followers of Jesus DO what Jesus says all day, all night, all week, all the time, (no couch potatoes , etc....) ....
no matter when or how the rapture occurs - always being in a state of alertness and readiness for His Judgment and God's Kingdom.

Don't worry, it's going to be big. It is going to be up there with the greatest Event in the history of mankind.

Who could sleep though that loud trumpet call, the trumpet call of God? Literally billions of resurrected saints from all the ages, from Adam and Eve to Billy Graham, shoot up into and illuminate the sky.

"And those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the sky above; and those who turn many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever.

And then we who are alive and remain will join them to light up the stratosphere. And all of the tribes of earth will mourn. They will be gut sick to see the sign of the Son of Man. In three days I will raise it up and the mystery of God is fulfilled.

We and all of the holy angels lighting up the sky. It's lucky there's more of them than there are of us. We can each have our own angel to gather us from the four winds of heaven and to tell us where to stand.

"But go your way till the end. And you shall rest and shall stand in your allotted place at the end of the days.”

Trust me, it's going to be big.

No. You're missing one key prophecy: rebuilding the Temple. That's not even at square one. Also aren't the Kings of the South as Revelation puts it supposed to gather together as part of Armageddon? Good luck getting those nations on the same page; each has its own agenda, and I have yet to see any movement in that direction.

Don't forget: Harold Camping thought once we were just about out of time back in the late 1990s although he didn't make much noise about it, and that went nowhere. Then he got really noisy about the same topic in 2011...and we're still here, except he's totally obscure, having lost all credibility. I think it'll be patently obvious when it does come around--but I have grave doubts we're anywhere close. I doubt my generation (the Baby Boomers; I'm 66) will see it--and in fact I have doubts my grandchildren will see it.
