Here is my explanation of where the book of Genesis chapter one verses 1 to 3 actually make reference to the Trinity.
The Creation of the World and the Trinity
Gen 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
When are we talking about ? The Beginning. Of what? Certainly NOT GOD, as He has no beginning or end, Then what is left ? The World. Who are we talking about ? God The First part of the Trinity, what did God do? He Created , therefore He is The Creator. What did he create? The heaven and the earth.
Gen 1:2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
How was the earth when God created it? It was without form, in other words It did not have land masses after God created it. What was in the earth after it was created: Darkness. Where was the Darkness: in the face of the deep, in other words waters: Who moved upon what? The Spirit of God moved ‘upon the face of the waters’.
Gen 1:3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
Who said what? God, (The creator again) said, ‘Let there be light’ what was said in this case : The Word Of God, who is the Son of God, and the light? The Son of God who is the third part of the trinity. I refer to: the New Testament

The Word Became Flesh
Joh 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. In other words the beginning was The Word (See Genesis 1:1, In the Beginning: Was the Word and the Word was With God , in other Words The Son, and The Son Was God, in other Words The Son, Jesus IS GOD, always was in the beginning.
Joh 1:2 The same was in the beginning with God. Again the same (The Son) , was in the beginning with God or the Father (who had no beginning or end).
Joh 1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. Everything was made by God, who is with the Son , and is Jesus and therefore there is NOTHING that was made Without God or Jesus who are both the same, because it says in verse 1 the Word was God.
Joh 1:4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. In Jesus , who is God in the flesh or the Son, who IS GOD. (Confusing isn’t it) is the light of the world.
Joh 1:5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. And Jesus, who was the LIGHT shined His LIGHT in the darkness (which did not understand it).
Now for John 3: 16 to 21: What did mankind do with the Son ????
For God So Loved the World
Joh 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. This is how much God LOVES US!
Joh 3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. Why did God send His Son into the World? It certainly was not to condemn us, but to save us.
Joh 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. In other words if you believe in Jesus , you are not condemned , but there is more about this in the Bible elsewhere, I will not touch on that one now. And if you do not beieive , then because of mortal sin from Adam and Eve , you are already condemned, and YOU ARE HEADED FOR HELL WHEN YOU DIE if you do not have a change of mindfore death.
Joh 3:19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. Because man has the free choice to love evil or good, and man chose evil even though Jesus had come into the world.
Joh 3:20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. For everyone that does evil hates Jesus for he is afraid that his actions will be exposed to the world. That is the biggest fear of someone that is evil, and they fear the Gospel and are actually ashamed of it.
Joh 3:21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God. But he that in truth comes to Jesus comes to the light, so that his actions may be made public. Those who have done good have no fear of their actions being exposed to the world as they are actively spreading the Gospel and are not ashamed of it.
The words that I put at the end of each verse are actually my own opinions and as a peasant of The Kingdom of God are just that opinions. Russ
