Absolutely. Every time I have had to speak up, I feel oppressed and confused, chaos in my mind. So I pray and submit to God, and He overcomes it in one way or another. Or when I try to witness and spread the Gospel, things fall apart around me, and distractions come. The enemy wants to interrupt our work, but God is greater, and nothing can stop His plans. And we can rejoice in the trials, because they make our faith much stronger.

Honestly, I would know that I wasn't really doing God's work if it was a smooth ride.

Yes anything at all for a distraction. On the other hand Satan does nothing that is not allowed by God, he has restraints. This is a test of faith and conviction and also a lesson in perseverance. It can shake your walk, it can cause you to question your church and even the Word of God when it gets severe enough. And we have to keep it together by prayer and supplication and pure trust in God ..

Speaking of my own experience now. You want a really serious long lasting test ? Hook up with someone trying to plant a new church. You have to question sometimes if God Himself even wants this church and He is the one who told the pastor where to plant it .

Yep. Happens often to almost everyone (believers) I know. It is called spiritual resistance.

As to your question, yes...I have been run up against.

Hopefully this will help you some:

1 Thessalonians 2:18: "For we wanted to come to you--certainly I, Paul, did, again and again--but Satan blocked our way."

If this happened to the Apostle Paul, it could well happen to anyone. How do you deal with it? Pray to God for deliverance, before and after you are to engage in a task.

Just remember that in your suffering you're in the best of company (the Apostle Paul) .

Also, when I am hit hard, it serves as a confirmation that I am on the right path.

All you need to do is give your testimony. The angels can fight the enemy that wants to stop you. The battle belongs to the Lord.

Of course all is well now, it's over and Satan has moved on till the next round. He will be back at some point, either more boldly or more cleverly..

So far he has been leaving me alone since I confronted his demons in the name of Jesus and told them to depart from my presence. I then prayed to Jesus and made my petition known to remove Satan's goons. Next I called out loud that "I belong to Jesus Christ, you have no business with me Satan". Then I started reciting my daily scripture readings out loud. After that I had the vision I spoke of a couple of weeks back, where one I presume to be Satan stood before me and stated in a growling voice " I can never have my angels under your command". And so far so good from there. I'm pressing forward with some local cable access tv recording of messages with my pastor friend starting Wed that include already my piano music, which is a message in itself.

We are never alone Lilly, but we need to watch who it is that we are studying and accepting, thinking it is off God when maybe it isn't, it may actually be the god of this worldly system in disguise. Although to some degree and in some way the true and living God is in it anyway, as I said before Satan can't touch us or bug us that God hasn't allowed it, as in Job but to a lesser degree than in Job, hopefully.

My belief is as we grow in faith and trust and just in our walk that God reveals more of the spiritual realm to us. We have to go through a time of trial with spiritual warfare. Perhaps we are being tested for our endurance level in faith, who knows but the Father Himself. In my case most recently I was given a glimpse of the reality of Satan. Those who are unsaved, not born again, have no idea what they are in for and really Satan is such a dufus, what a clown to unknowingly,or in some cases knowingly follow. But eternity is real.

I used to struggle so greatly with this as well. I would feel like each time i tried to draw nearer to God, I would end up experiencing some sort of turmoil, or pain or obstacle as you said. I knew it was the devil trying to lure me away from God, and sometimes it worked. It seemed easier to not try to open myself to Christ, as opposed to dealing with the issues and problems that followed from doing so. Every day is a battle for me, every day I struggle to remember how important God is and how weak and empty I am without him. But it is a battle worth fighting, and the joy I feel when I really sit and rest in God's presence is immeasurable. I hope you continue to fight as well, knowing that God is greater than man, than words, than schemes, than satan himself. "God knows your tomorrow, today," rest in the truth and find comfort in the fact that God is greater, stronger and mightier than any struggle or battle we face. In the face of these tribulations, boldly proclaim the Lord's sovereignty over your life. I pray that the devil's grip on your mind and your heart would be pulled away, and that you may see God's eternal glory and grace in your life. Praying for you

God existed before Creation. God is Spirit. The physical comes from what's unseen. (That's all from Scripture) The simplest explanation with the least assumptions is the supernatural one.

Which is why we keep our eyes on the spiritual, because it came first, and it explains everything else. But the natural man cannot perceive anything spiritual. I suggest that you ask God to open your eyes. Things aren't what you think they are.

The ultimate goal is to give all the glory the One who made us so, it does not matter what the devil will do because the Lord already conquered death for us.

Also the Sword --> The Word of God.

When Jesus Christ was tempted by satan, He used the Word of God against every attempts of satan where he was using God's Word in a twisted way to test him, and try deceiving Him.

Holding on to God's Truth is very important too. Every time the enemy brings up a lie before you, fight it away with bringing up the truth! Speak out truth against any given lies from the enemy!

In general; The Whole Armour of God is equal important to be wearing as well as using every weapon against the enemy in spiritual warfare.
