Reve 1:19
Write! [therefore] which things thou saw, and which things are being, and which things are about to be becoming after these.
This is an interesting word.

Tho it is used 709 times in the NT, I would like to look at where the exact same form of the word is used elsewhere.
I found it is used only 9 times....3 times in Luke 21, 4 times in Acts, 1 Corin 1:20, and 1 time in Reve.

Reve 1:19 ...........and which things are about to be becoming/ginesqai<1096> after these.

Luke 21 is part of the Olivet Discourse and parousia of Jesus concerning the coming destruction of Jerusalem in 70ad.

7 “Teacher,” they asked, “when will these things happen?
And what will be the sign that they are about to be becoming/ginesqai<1096>?”
28 When these things begin to happen/ginesqai<1096>,
stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.”
36 So keep watch at all times, and pray that you may have the strength to escape all that is being about to be becoming/ginesqai<1096>

and to stand before the Son of Man.”

Strong's Concordance with Hebrew and Greek Lexicon

1096. ginomai ghin'-om-ahee a prolongation and middle voice form of a primary verb; to cause to be ("gen"-erate), i.e. (reflexively) to become (come into being),
G1096 matches the Greek γίνομαι (ginomai),which occurs 709 times in 636 verses

The Hebrew equivalent word is "hayah #1961"
Genesis 1:1 (KJV)
H1961 matches the Hebrew הָיָה (hayah), which occurs 76 times in 72 verses

H1961 hayah haw-yaw a primitive root (Compare 1933); to exist, i.e. be or become, come to pass (always emphatic, and not a mere copula or auxiliary):

It is used in the great "I AM who I AM" verse of Exodus 3:14 when the LORD sent Moses to Pharaoh. The same great I AM that is in Revelation........

Exodus 3:
12 And He is saying: "That I Shall Be/I AM/hayah<01961> with thee,...........
13 ........................
And they have said to me, 'What Name of Him'? What shall I say to them"?
14 And 'Elohiym is saying to Mosheh, "I-shall-be/I AM/hayah<01961> who I-shall-be/I AM/hayah<01961>
and He said, “Thus you shall say to the sons of Israel, ‘I shall be/I AM/hayah01961 has sent me to you.’”

The Hebrew word "YAH" 03050 is also in it.
Genesis 1:1 (KJV)
3050 Yahh yaw contraction for 3068, and meaning the same; Jah, the sacred name:--Jah, the Lord, most vehement. Compare names in "-iah," "- jah

It is used in the song of Moses after the Israelites cross the Red Sea

Exodus 15:1 Then sang Mosheh and the sons of Yisra'el this song unto YHWH, and they spake saying,--"I will sing to YHWH for He is exalted exalted,--The horse and his rider hath He cast into the Sea.
2 My might and melody is Yah, and He became mine salvation/y@shuw'ah.--This is my 'El and I will glorify Him, 'Elohiym of my father and I will set Him on high". '

Which is also sung in Revelation

Revelation 15:3 and They are singing the Song of-Moses, the bond-servant of the God, and the song of the Lamb-kin, saying,

Interesting.....what comes to mind for me is that this occurs on the "last day".
Thks for posting brinny.

It also reminds me of this event in the garden when Jesus was with His disciples.
Notice what happens when Jesus says "I am He" in verse 6......

I myself would capitalize "I AM" in my translation, to give it more prominence and relate it to the OT "I AM"

John 18:3
So Judas brought a band of soldiers and officers from the chief priests and Pharisees.
They arrived at the garden carrying lanterns, torches, and weapons.
4 Jesus, knowing all that was coming upon Him, stepped forward and asked them, “Whom are you seeking?”
5 “Jesus of Nazareth,” they answered.
Jesus said, “I AM /egw eimi He.”
And Judas, His betrayer, was standing there with them.
6
When Jesus said, “I am He,” they drew back and fell to the ground.
7 So He asked them again, “Whom are you seeking?”
“Jesus of Nazareth,” they answered.
8 “I told you that I AM /egw eimi He,” Jesus replied. “So if you are looking for Me, let these men go.”
9 This was to fulfill the word He had spoken: “I have not lost one of those You have given Me.”

Now look at John 14:30, Mark 14:43 [I actually have a thread on these 4 verses:

John 14 and the "ruler/chief" of World

John 12:31 "Now is the judgment of this world; now the ruler of this world will be cast out.
John 16:11 "of judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged
John 14:30 "I will no longer talk much with you, for the ruler of this world is coming, and he has nothing in Me.
Mark 14:43 And immediately, while He was still speaking, Judas/JUDAH, one of the twelve, with a great multitude with swords and clubs, came from the chief priests and the scribes and the elders. 44 Now His betrayer had given them a signal, saying,

John 5:45
`No be ye supposing that I shall be accusing ye toward the Father,
is the one accusing ye, Moses, into whom ye have hoped;
[Reve 12:10]

30 yrs later, God had both them and their City, Temple and Sanctuary destroyed

Reve 12:10
And I hear great voice saying in the Heaven: "Now became the salvation and the power and the Kingdom of the God of us, and the authority of the Christ of Him, that was cast the Accuser/kathgoroV <2725> of the brothers of us, the one accusing/kathgorwn <2723> (5723) them in sight of the God of us day and night.

The Destruction of Jerusalem - George Peter Holford, 1805AD

The day on which Titus encompassed Jerusalem, was the feast of the Passover ; and it is deserving of the very particular attention of the reader, that this was the anniversary of that memorable period in which the Jews crucified their Messiah.....................

For five days after the destruction of the Temple, the priests who had escaped, sat, pining with hunger, on the top of one of its broken walls; at length, they came down, and humbly asked the pardon of Titus, which, however, he refused to grant them, saying, that, "as the Temple, for the sake of which he would have spared them, was destroyed, it was but fit that its priests should parish also:" -whereupon he commanded that they should be put to death....................

The Temple now presented little more than a heap of ruins ; and the Roman army as in triumph on the event,

Yes, the Temple was in ruination.

The Temple that was built with man's hands.

How does this tie into today?

Reve 1:20
The mystery of the seven Stars which thou saw on the right [hand] of Me and the seven golden lamp-stands.
The seven Stars are being Messengers of the seven Assemblies.
And the seven lamp-stands are being seven Assemblies.
This is the last verse in Revelation chapter 1.

Here, Jesus reveals the mysteries of the 7 stars and 7 lamp-stands. I love mysteries.....

Reve 1:20 The mystery of the seven Stars/asterwn<792>..............
The seven Stars/astereV<792> are being Messengers.

#792 is used 24 times in various forms.

Genesis 1:1 (KJV)
792. aster as-tare' probably from the base of 4766; a star (as strown over the sky), literally or figuratively:--star.
G792 matches the Greek ἀστήρ (astēr), which occurs 24 times in 21 verses

The mystery of the seven Stars/asterwn<792>

This form of the word "asterwn<792>" occurs 5 times.... 1 time in 1 Corinthians 15:41 and 4 times in Revelation
1 Corinthians 15:41
one glory of sun, and another glory of moon, and another glory of stars/asterwn, for star/asthr from star/asteroV doth differ in glory.

The seven Stars/astereV<792> are being Messengers

This form of the word, "astereV<792>" occurs 5 times......1 each in Matt, Mark and Jude... 2 times in Revelation.
[The verses in Matt and Mark being part of the great Olivet Discourse]

Matthew 24:29
........and the stars/astereV shall fall from the heaven.........
Mark 13:25
and the stars/astereV of the heaven shall be falling,..............

Jude 1:13
wild waves of a sea, foaming out their own shames; stars/astereV going astray, to whom the gloom of the darkness to the age hath been kept.

This is the other time in Revelation that form of the word is used, as like shriveled figs:

Reve 6:13
and the stars/astereV in the heaven fall upon land, as a fig-tree is dropping shriveled-figs from a fig tree when shaken by a strong wind.

[Look at Jude 1:13 at bottom of post. He implies stars are also men]
For now, I will just study the Greek word "star/s" used in this verse

Reve 1:20 The mystery of the seven Stars/asterwn<792>..............
The seven Stars/astereV<792> are being Messengers.

#792 is used 24 times in various forms. I am going to just focus on the ones in Reve 1:20.

Genesis 1:1 (KJV)
792. aster as-tare' probably from the base of 4766; a star (as strown over the sky), literally or figuratively:--star.
G792 matches the Greek ἀστήρ (astēr), which occurs 24 times in 21 verses

Mark 13:25 and the stars/astereV of the heaven shall be falling,..............

Reve 1:20 The seven Stars/astereV<792> are being Messengers.

Jude 1:13 wild waves of a sea, foaming out their own shames; stars/astereV going astray, to whom the gloom of the darkness to the age hath been kept.

I love mysteries too.

But i gotta admit, Revelation can be quite a challenge, LOL!

Yeah. That is why it has taken me about a week just to do 1 chapter

I wanted to post the rest of the verses from those 2 forms of #792, use in Revelation, so I can do that in this post......

This form of the word "asterwn<792>" occurs 5 times.... 1 time in 1 Corinthians 15:41 and 4 times in Revelation

Revelation 8:12 And the fourth messenger did sound, and smitten was the third of the sun, and the third of the moon, and the third of the stars/asterwn<792>,..........................
Revelation 12:1 And a great sign was seen in the heaven, a woman arrayed with........ and upon her head a crown of twelve stars/asterwn<792>
Revelation 12:4 and his tail doth draw the third of the stars/asterwn<792> of the heaven, .........

This form of the word, "astereV<792>" occurs 5 times......1 each in Matt, Mark and Jude... 2 times in Revelation. [The verses in Matt and Mark being in the great Olivet Discourse]

Reve 1:20 The seven Stars/astereV<792> are being Messengers

Matthew 24:29........and the stars/astereV<792> shall fall from the heaven.........
Mark 13:25 and the stars/astereV<792> of the heaven shall be falling,..............

Revelation 6:13 and the stars/astereV<792> of the heaven fell to the earth --as a fig-tree doth cast her winter figs, by a great wind being shaken

The fig tree used in Reve is interesting. It is used 67 times in the Bible and ties it in with Judah and Israel[12 of their tribes are mentioned]
[I will comment more on it once I get to that chapter.]. Fascinating!

Genesis 1:1 (YLT)

1 King 4:25 And Judah dwelleth -- and Israel -- in confidence, each under his vine, and under his fig-tree, from Dan even unto Beer-Sheba, all the days of Solomon.

Matthew 21:19 and having seen a certain fig-tree on the way, he came to it, and found nothing in it except leaves only, and he saith to it, 'No more from thee may fruit be -- to the age;' and forthwith the fig-tree withered.

Is this when Satan fell from heaven and a third of the angels went with him?
Perhaps. There is lot of Hebrew OT imagery and prophecy in Reve.

Zech 13:9 comes to mind for the 3rd of the stars

Zechariah 13:9 This third I will put into the fire; I will refine them like silver and test them like gold. They will call on my name and I will answer them; I will say, 'They are my people,' and they will say, 'The LORD is our God.'"

Zechariah 13:9 This third I will put into the fire;
I will refine them like silver and test them like gold.
They will call on my name and I will answer them;
I will say, 'They are my people,' and they will say, 'The LORD is our God
.'"

I would rather wait till I get to get to that chapter.
For now, I just want to expound on the Greek and as accurate translation as possible for each verse, then delve more fully into interpretation which I am now ready to do with this chapter before starting the next one.

1:1...........And He signifies-it,/eshmanen<4591>.............

#4591 is used 6 times in the NT:

3 times in John..........

Genesis 1:1 (KJV)

4591. semaino from sema (a mark; of uncertain derivation); to indicate:--signify.

The exact word form of that Greek word is used in Acts 11:28.

YLT) Acts 11:28
and one of them, by name Agabus, having stood up, did signify/eshmanen<4591> through the Spirit a great dearth is about to be throughout all the world --
which also came to pass in the time of Claudius Caesar --
It is used only in John of the Gospels and each time it is used it is signifying what death Jesus and Peter would die.

#4591 is used 6 times in the NT:

3 times in John and always with the phrase "signifying what death"

John 12:
32 And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto Myself.
33 This He said, signifying G4591 what death he should die

John 18:
31 Then said Pilate unto them, "Take ye Him, and judge Him according to your law". The Jews therefore said unto Him, "It is not lawful for us to put any man to death":
32
That the saying of Jesus might be fulfilled, which he spake, signifying G4591 what death He should die
John 21:
18 Verily, verily, I say unto thee, When thou wast young, thou girdedst thyself, and walkedst whither thou wouldest: but when thou shalt be old, thou shalt stretch forth thy hands, and another shall gird thee, and carry thee whither thou wouldest not.
19 This spake he, signifying G4591 by what death he should glorify God.
And when he had spoken this, he saith unto him, Follow me.

20 Then Peter, turning about, seeth the disciple whom Jesus loved following; which also leaned on his breast at supper, and said, Lord, which is he that betrayeth thee?

2 times in Acts, 1 time in Revelation.

Acts 11:28
and one of them, by name Agabus, having stood up, did signify through the Spirit a great dearth is about to be throughout all the world --
Acts 25:
26 Of whom I have no certain thing to write unto my lord. Wherefore I have brought him forth before you, and specially before thee, O king Agrippa, that, after examination had, I might have somewhat to write.
27 For it seemeth to me unreasonable to send a prisoner, and not withal to signify G4591 the crimes laid against him.
which also came to pass in the time of Claudius Caesar --

4591. semaino say-mah'-ee-no from sema (a mark; of uncertain derivation); to indicate:--signify.

There is also this derivative of #4591 denoting signs/wonders

4592. semeion say-mi'-on neuter of a presumed derivative of the base of 4591; an indication, especially ceremonially or supernaturally:--miracle, sign, token, wonder.
Genesis 1:1 (KJV)
G4592 matches the Greek σημεῖον (sēmeion),which occurs 77 times in 69 verses

Reve 1:3
Happy/blessed is the one reading and the ones hearing the Word of the Prophecy
and keepings the in it having been written.
For the time is-nigh

makarioV o anaginwskwn
Another word I would like to look at in Reve:1:3 is #3107.
It is from the primary root word meaning "blessed/happy". [I give the Hebrew equivalent word near bottom of post]

Reve 1:3 Happy/blessed/makarioV<3107> is the one reading

Strong's Concordance with Hebrew and Greek Lexicon

3107. makarios a prolonged form of the poetical makar (meaning the same); supremely blest; by extension, fortunate, well off:-- blessed, happy(X -ier).

G3107 matches the Greek μακάριος (makarios), which occurs 50 times in 49 verses
[The number 50 is coincidentally used in the word for "Pentecost"]
What is Pentecost? Why Does It Matter? - Mark D. Roberts

The majority of the times #3107 is rendered as "blessed", and other times as "happy". The lexicon also renders it "happier" or "supremely blessed", etc.

#3107 is 1st used in Matt 5:3 of the "beatitudes" discourse.

Matthew 5:3 'Happy/blessed/makarioi<3107> the poor in spirit -- because theirs is the reign of the heavens.

It is used 7 times in Revelation [a divine number],
including 4 times in the exact word form which I will put up first:

Revelation 1:3 Happy/blessed/makarioV<3107> is the one reading.....................
Revelation 16:15 Behold! I do come as a thief. Happy/blessed/makarioV<3107> is he who is watching,...........
Revelation 20:6 Happy/blessed/makarioV<3107> and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection..............
Revelation 22:7 “Behold, I am coming swiftly! Happy/blessed/makarioV<3107> is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this Book/Scroll.”

The 3 inexact times #3107 is in: Revelation 14:13, Revelation 19:9, Revelation 22:14

The equivalent Hebrew word is H1288 meaning blessed:
H1288
matches the Hebrew בָּרַךְ (barak),
which occurs 331 times in 289 verses
1288 barak baw-rak' a primitive root; to kneel; by implication to bless God (as an act of adoration), and (vice-versa) man (as a benefit)

1st time used:

Genesis 1:22 And God blessed/H1288 them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth.

The word for "happy" is H835:
835 'esher from 833; happiness; only in masculine plural construction as interjection, how happy!:--blessed, happy.
833 'ashar aw-shar' or rasher {aw-share'}; a primitive root; to be straight (used in the widest sense, especially to be level, right, happy); figuratively, to go forward, be honest, proper:--(call, be) bless(-ed, happy),
Genesis 1:1 (KJV)
H835 matches the Hebrew אֶשֶׁר ('esher), which occurs 45 times in 42 verses

1st time used:
Deuteronomy 33:29 Happy/H835 art thou, O Israel: who is like unto thee, O people saved by the LORD

Revelation 1:3.
The first of the seven beatitudes in the Apocalypse (Revelation 14:13, Revelation 16:15, Revelation 19:9, Revelation 20:6, Revelation 22:7; Revelation 22:14), endorsing the book as a whole. In the worship of the Christian communities one member read aloud, originally from the O.T. as in the synagogues, and afterwards from Christian literature as well (apostolic epistles, Colossians 4:16, and sub-apostolic epistles), while the rest of the audience listened (Eus. H. E. iv. 23). In its present form the Apocalypse was composed with this object in view.....................

1:3 Blessed is he that readeth,.... This book the Revelation, privately, in his closet or family, carefully and diligently, with a desire of understanding it; or publicly in the church of God, and endeavours open and explain it to others; and may allude to the reading of the law and the prophets in the synagogues, which were not barely read, but expounded; see Acts 13:15; and the rather this may be thought to be the sense of the words, since there is a change of number in the next clause,

Revelation 1:3
Happy/blessed is the one reading and the ones hearing the Word of the Prophecy and ones-keeping the in it having been written.
For the time is-nigh
This word can mean "guard, keep, watch, etc".
Depending on context, I can see using both keep/watch in some verses to show the duel meaning of that word..
A guard can both keep and guard a prisoner for example [Note Matthew 27:54]. Thoughts?

Reve 1:3 ..........ones-keeping/guarding/throunteV<5083> the in it having been written.....

5083. tereo tay-reh'-o from teros (a watch; perhaps akin to 2334); to guard (from loss or injury, properly, by keeping the eye upon; and thus differing from 5442, which is properly to prevent escaping; and from 2892, which implies a fortress or full military lines of apparatus).............
2334. theoreo theh-o-reh'-o from a derivative of 2300 (perhaps by addition of 3708); to be a spectator of, i.e. discern............
G5083 matches the Greek τηρέω (tēreō), which occurs 75 times in 68 verses..

1st time used:
Matthew 19:17 And he said to him, 'Why Me dost thou call good? no one is good except One -- God; but if thou dost will to enter into the life, keep/thrhson<5083> the commands.' [Reve 12:17, 14:12, 22:14]
Last time used:
Revelation 22:9 and he saith to me, 'See -- not; for fellow-servant of thee am I, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of those-keeping/thrountwn<5083> the words of this scroll; before God bow.'

It is used 10 times in Revelation. 3 times in exact word form:

Matthew 27:54 And the centurion and those with him keeping/guarding/5083<throunteV> Jesus, having seen the earthquake and the things taking place, feared greatly, saying, "Truly this was the Son of God!"
Matthew 28:
2 Suddenly there was a great earthquake, for an Angel of the Lord descended from heaven, rolled away the stone, and sat on it. 3 His appearance was like lightning, and His clothing white as snow.
4 And those-keeping-watch/guarding/5083<throunteV> trembled from fear of Him, and they became as dead men.
Revelation 1:3 ...those-keeping/throunteV<5083> the in it having been written.....

One can use a concordance to see where the other places in the NT, including Reve, it is used:
Strong's Concordance with Hebrew and Greek Lexicon

Revelation 1:3 Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near.

I
Reve 1:4
John, to the seven Assemblies that are in the Asia:
Grace to ye and peace, from the One being and Who was and the One coming.
And from the seven Spirits that are in view of His throne,
#2064 is a rather simple word, but in this verse it is used in reference to His 2nd coming/parousia.

I mainly want to look where the exact form of this Greek word is use, especially in Revelation.
[For those interested, I use the scripture4all Greek/Hebrew interlinear for looking up exact word forms of both the Greek and Hebrew]
Scripture4All - Greek/Hebrew interlinear Bible software

Reve 1:4 the One coming/ercomenoV<2064>

2064. erchomai er'-khom-ahee middle voice of a primary verb (used only in the present and imperfect tenses, the others being supplied by a kindred (middle voice) eleuthomai el-yoo'-thom-ahee, or (active) eltho el'-tho, which do not otherwise occur) to come or go (in a great variety of applications, literally and figuratively):--accompany, appear, bring, come, enter, fall out, go, grow, X light, X next, pass, resort, be set.
G2064 matches the Greek ἔρχομαι (erchomai), which occurs 665 times in 604 verses

4 times Matthew, 1 time Mark, 6 times in Luke, 7 times in John, 1 each in Romans, 2 Corin, 2 timo, Hebrews and 3 times in Revelation.

Revelation 1:4 from the One being and Who was and the One coming/ercomenoV<2064>
Revelation 1:8 ..........Who is, and Who was, and Who is coming/ercomenoV<2064> -- the Almighty.
Revelation 4:8 .........saying, Holy holy holy, Lord God the Almighty,
Who was, Who is and Who is coming/ercomenoV<2064>.

Of the 25 times that exact word form is used, I found it simply awesome that [3 of those times is when Jesus enters into Jerusalem along with the word "Hosanna".]

Matthew 21:9
........... and who were following, were crying, saying, 'Hosanna to the Son of David, blessed is He Who is coming/ercomenoV<2064> in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest.'
Mark 11:9
......... and those who followed shouted: Hosanna! Blessed is He Who is coming/ercomenoV<2064> in the name of the Lord!
John 12:13
took the branches of the palms, and went forth to meet Him, and were crying, 'Hosanna, blessed is He Who is coming/ercomenoV<2064> in the name of the Lord -- the king of Israel;'

5614. hosanna ho-san-nah' of Hebrew origin (3467 and 4994); oh save!; hosanna (i.e. hoshia-na), an exclamation of adoration:--hosanna.
Strong's Number G5614 matches the Greek ὡσαννά (hōsanna),
which occurs 6 times in 5 verses in the Greek

What Does Hosanna Mean? Definition from the Bible and Scripture Dictionary

In the Bible the expression occurs only in accounts of that event. Matthew, Mark, and John all transliterate it (Luke does not, but appears to paraphrase it with the Greek word for "glory": see his "glory in the highest, 19:38 ).
According to Matthew, the crowd that accompanied Jesus that day shouted "Hosanna to the Son of David!" (21:9), as did the children later in the temple (v. 15).
Mark ( 11:9 ) and John ( 12:13 ) do not have "to the Son of David, " but all three follow the opening cry with, "Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!" (from Psalm 118:26 ).
Matthew and Mark conclude the people's cries with "Hosanna in the highest" (apparently an echo of Psalm 148:1 ), which John omits. But Mark inserts "Blessed is the coming kingdom of our father David" ( 11:10 ), and John adds, "Blessed is the King of Israel" ( 12:13 ).
These appear to be interpretations of "he who comes in the name of the Lord." And they agree essentially with Luke's formulation of the people's words taken from Psalm 118:26, "Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord" ( 19:38 ).

Those from whose lips "Hosanna" rose that day seem to have looked on Jesus as God's anointed one from the house of David of whom the prophets had spoken and through whom they hoped that all their messianic expectations would be fulfilled.
However misguided their particular expectations may have been, their actions underscore the theme of the Gospels that Jesus is indeed the promised son of David through whom the redemption announced by God's prophets has come.
In him the age-old cry, "Lord, save us, " has become the glad doxology, "Hosanna, " which equals: "Praise God and his Messiah, we are saved."............................

Most likely the authors of the Gospels transliterated "Hosanna" rather than translating it because it served on the people's lips as a joyful exclamation which, if translated, would have sounded like a prayer. In similar fashion, John transliterated "Hallelujah" in Revelation 19:1, 3, 4, 6 because it had become an exclamation of praise whereas originally it was a call to praise ("Praise the Lord")......

Reve 1:7
Behold! He is coming with the clouds, and every eye shall be seeing Him, even those who did pierce Him.
And they shall be grieving/wailing over Him, all the tribes of the land. Yea Amen
Since 12 of the tribes are mentioned in Revelation, [Chapter 7:5-8,] I thought I would show where this Greek word is shown in the rest of the NT.

Reve 1:7 grieving/wailing over Him, all the tribes/fulai<5443> of the land

5443. phule foo-lay' from 5453 (compare 5444); an offshoot, i.e. race or clan:--kindred, tribe.
G5443 matches the Greek φυλή (phylē), which occurs 31 times in 23 verses

Of the 31 times #5443 is used, it is mentioned 21 times in Revelation, [14 of those in Reve chapt 7].

The exact form of that word occurs only 2 times in the NT.
Here and in Matthew 24:30 of the Olivet Discourse.

Matthew 23:40
And then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes/fulai<5443> of the earth will mourn. And they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory.

The other verses where #5443 occurs is 2 each in Matt and Luke, 1 time in Acts, 5 times in the Epistles, and 21 times in Revelation.

The plural "tribes" is used 109 times in the Bible.

Genesis 1:1 (NKJV)
Tribes occurs 109 times in 107 verses

1st time used Genesis 49:16, when Jacob/Israel calls his sons together.
[The tribe of Dan is missing in Revelation.] Interesting

Genesis 49:
1 And Jacob calleth unto his sons and saith, 'Be gathered together, and I declare to you that which doth happen with you in the latter end of the days.
16 “Dan shall judge his people
As one of the tribes of Israel.

Revelation 21:12
having also a wall great and high, having twelve gates, and at the gates twelve messengers, and names written thereon, which are those of the twelve tribes/fulwn<5443> of the sons of Israel,

Judah was 4th born but is 1st in Revelation.
Benjamin was born last and is also listed last [the Apostle Paul is of that tribe].
Dan and aEphraim are missing from these 12.......Ephraim and Manasseh were the sons of Joseph, whom Jacob/Israel adopted.

Why Dan and Ephraim were not included in the list in Revelation 7

Revelation Chapter 1 Verses
Almighty/pantokratwr<3841>

Reve 1:8
I AM being the Alpha and the Omega........... the Almighty!
I had to use an interlinear for finding where both of the Greek words occur together.
The use of these 2 words together appears to be very emphatic, so I am thinking I would capitalize them if they are together, such as in Revelation.

[I am going to break this up into 2 seperate posts so I can post the other places in the NT these 2 words are used together, which is almost always concerning Jesus.]

I/egw<1473> AM/eimi<1510> to a*** kai to w a..................

1473. ego eg-o' a primary pronoun of the first person I (only expressed when emphatic):--I, me.
G1473 matches the Greek ἐγώ (egō), which occurs 370 times in 334
1510. eimi i-mee' the first person singular present indicative; a prolonged form of a primary and defective verb; I exist (used only when emphatic):--am, have been, X it is I, was
G1510 matches the Greek εἰμί (eimi), which occurs 146 times in 137 verses

They are used together in only 4 verses of Revelation, all with Jesus, the great I AM:

Reve 1:8
I/egw<1473> AM/eimi<1510> to a*** kai to w a..................

Reve 1:17
And when I saw him, I did fall at his feet as dead, and he placed his right hand upon me, saying to me, 'Be not afraid; I/egw<1473> AM/eimi<1510> the First and the Last,

Reve 2:23
and her children I will kill in death,
and know shall all the assemblies that I/egw<1473> AM/eimi<1510> He who is searching reins and hearts; and I will give to you -- to each -- according to your works
.

Reve 22:16
'I, Jesus did send my messenger to testify to you these things concerning the assemblies;
I/egw<1473> AM/eimi<1510> the root and the offspring of David, the bright and morning star!

I will put the occurrences of those 2 words together in these verse in the next post..........

Matthew 5 times
Mark 4 times
Luke 4 times
John approx 14 times [ about a dozen of them separated by a another word]
