Hi the Nephalim are pre and post flood hybids described in Gen. The book of Enoch quoted in the Bible talks a lot about it. There is a guy named LA Marzulli who is a sound Christian who has looked into this quite a bit. They will not challenge the authority of the pope and they will be without the sin of Adam and that they would fundementally change our view of the Bible. "The word "nephilim" as used in Gen 6:4 and Num 13:33 is simply an anglocizing of the Hebrew word nephiyl. If it were to be translated it would be simply "the fallen".
this opens up a whole new hermeneutical question about how then should we interpret these people described both before the flood in Gen 6 as "the fallen" and then again after the flood when the spies brought back their report about the promised land being filled with "the fallen" who are also described as giants.
Different interpretations have described the nephilim as fallen angels, others as fallen men, some have categorized only the sons of Cain as the nephilim in Gen 6, but then how are they reappearing after the flood? or if it is fallen angels, do we see the earth invaded by fallen angels not once but twice?
I think the most consistent view of the Nephilim would consist of those who have fallen away from faith and reliance upon God. Those who think that they can achieve greatness absent from God's presence.
[There were giants in the earth] npiliym , from naaphal , "he fell." Those who had apostatized or fallen from the true religion. The Septuagint translate the original word by gigantes, which literally signifies earth-born, and which we, following them, term giants, without having any reference to the meaning of the word, which we generally conceive to signify persons of enormous stature. But the word when properly understood makes a very just disinction between the sons of men and the sons of God; those were the nephilim , the fallen earth-born men, with the animal and devilish mind. These were the sons of God, who were born from above, children of the kingdom, because children of God. Hence, we may suppose originated the different appellatives given to sinners and saints, the former were termed gigantes (Greek), "earth-born", and the latter, hagioi , i.e. saints, persons not of the earth, or separated from the earth.

Targum

The targumim were spoken paraphrases, explanations and expansions of the Jewish scriptures that a rabbi would give in the common language of the listeners, which was then often Aramaic. That had become necessary near the end of the 1st century BCE, as the common language was in transition and Hebrew was used for little more than schooling and worship. The noun "Targum" is derived from the early semitic quadriliteral root trgm, and the Akkadian term targummanu refers to "translator, interpreter". It occurs in the Hebrew Bible in Ezra 4:7 "... and the writing of the letter was written in the Syrian tongue and interpreted in the Syrian tongue." You call angels demoted from their heaven/estate substantiating into human form in order to mate with women silly, but we have a Savior that performed the greatest magic(k) trick ever (resurrection)- and you believe you have a leg to stand on calling what I said silly? We are pot and kettle; my hope is that you, too, realize this. That, what I am saying is not some ungodly thing. This is stuff our Savior has said - don't let the fact that it isn't in the Western canon negate the Word of God. It is in your canon too, as many have already pointed out.

We are the children of the Most High God; He formed us. You can't see a reason why demoted angels would try to mate with the direct formation of the Most High God endowed with His Spirit?

Once you know about The Nephilim / Giants and fallen angels mating with humans it becomes clear that The Great Pyramid was built Before The Flood and that the stories from ancient Greece about The Titans, Hurcules and Ancient Egypt come from the time Before The Flood:

You seriously think that fallen angels are able to do anything that God does not allow? Do you hold them to have the same power as our Savior? Angels where never created to procreate--You really think that God created millions of angels , all males, as the only named ones are male, but gave them the equipment to mate with humans, which had not even been created yet, but did not create mates for the angels--Jesus says they do not marry in heaven and that means no sex for that is why marriage was made for and the only way that it is allowed by God. That is a pretty sad idea of who our God is--millions of angels up there all wanting to mate and nobody to mate with, but God gives every other living thing a mate! Fallen angels posses, they do not become human, they can appear to be human, not the same thing. We were created lower than the angels--we are not of the same kind, only us were created in the image of God. Every living thing is in under the direct command of God "after their kind." We are not about to be transformed into the image of fallen angels with God's consent--and no angel can no anything that God does not allow--even Satan required permission to put his hand on Job. Strange, also, that the only thing that these hybrids inherited from these angels was height---what happened to the wings? Lucifer was a covering cherub---they have 4 wings and they block the full glory of the Father from the rest if the angels. There are some with 6 wings. Let me guess--they fell off when they fell.
A 30 foot giant is going to mate with a woman---is he "proportional."---Mating with that would pretty well rip her apart--not to mention the baby would likely kill her---just try and have a Chihuahua carry the puppies of a Mastiff--will not happen, she will die and the puppies with her. It was the fallen angels that mated with the humans not the giants. (Maybe some did I don't know)

The angels, in the early bible were called "sons of God". The fallen ones fell because they followed Satan.
They mated with human women, in order to destroy the human bloodline and make Christ's coming as a man/God impossible. They "left their first estate" meaning they shed their totally spiritual form and took on a physical form. No angels in the bible, anywhere, are female.

You are right, "Cement", Rob Skiba has an excellent talk on this topic. It all fits like a fine puzzle, not only with very ancient history, post flood history, history after Christ and even in our future events that will unfold.


I have absolutely no idea why people cannot grasp the fact that the earth, and the beings on it, were not always as they are today..... what makes these giants so toxic to some peoples beliefs.

It being partially buried helped preserve the lower portion but the pinhead size head due to weathering looks very small in comparison to the lower body. It’s clear that some pharaoh tried to carve his face on it to make future people think he may have built it. Egyptologists still want us to believe it’s because the Nile river flooded the Giza Plateau.

Fallen angels and humans produce giant babies---a woman giving birth to what will be a 30 foot giant.
You want to tell me again how a creature that was created higher than us, created to not have sex for the angels do not have sex, has the equipment to have sex with a woman, and have the human sperm needed to be compatible with human DNA? The fathers you've mentioned above had no idea about genetics and DNA yet. So what happened to the wings, why only height was passed on? You have not answered my questions from post #45. The Targums came way before your "fathers."

I did that 35 years ago and nothing new has been added that changes my mind as to the clearly anti- scriptural position that this theory takes, how it really denigrates God and His creation, not to mention it goes against just plain old common sense. I first heard it when I was away from God about 40 years ago and thought it wrong then, after returning to God and being reintroduced to it---I looked into it thoroughly and prayerfully. I researched the Hebrew writings also and the language and every year since, have grown more and more sure that this is not of God.

And what in earth makes you think we don't know that??? That is why the giants in those days were all the pre flood people---they were not 5-6 feet tall. The air had more oxygen, the earth far more fertile, no weather disasters, plenty of good food, no genetic flaws to pass down, far more intelligent, so much so that we still can't figure out how they did some things. It is this theory that tries to put down those people as something far less than the magnificent creation of God that they were and denigrating the very character of God by bringing in fallen angels having sex with women. They are not our kind and can not do so! God said after it's kind at creation.

The book of Enoch is not of the Holy Spirit and not canon and useless for doctrine.
