Straw man? How many times does Bob have to quote 2 Corinthians 3:7 you even quoted and ignored above? Is the straw man you're talking about the definition of "was" or BobS use of "transitory" which means "not permanent" in the verse? The word "was" means "no longer" or not permanent. You need to throw out that personal dictionary that disagrees with the rest of the English speaking world.
Nothing you have stated here has any truth in it nad are only your own words over God's WORD. Do you have any scriptures to share? Nothing has been ignored and only God's WORD has been shared in relation to

Jeremiah 31:31-34 and repeated by the same author as Corinthians in
Hebrews 8:10-12 and 10:16-17
Hebrews 8:10-12
[10], For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord;
I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:
[11], And they shall not teach every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.
[12], For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.
Real slick tactic for the ignorant and lazy. You reference
Jeremiah 31:32 and refuse to quote that part of of the quote from
Hebrews 8. Why? Doesn't it defeat your argument? The very same words "not according to... are in that verse (9). Your presentation leaves out all gentiles not participating in the national covenant given to Israel at Sinai. That simply doesn't line up with the Gospels and the historical record of Acts. What is true? Are the Gospels and Acts false uninspired by God? Once again it isn't the national law given to Israel at Sinai because of the phrase "not according to..." being transferred.
There is no slick tactic it is only the WORD of GOD and we should BELIEVE AND FOLLOW it. As stated in the same quote you are referencing I have stated this is the same quote used by Paul in Hebrews 8.
Why would anything I have written from what you quoted defeat my argument? I had already stated the quotes from Jeremiah 31:31-34 and Hebrews 8:10-12 were the same. The point I was making is that this is a reference to the NEW COVENANT not the OLD and it was given to God's ISRAEL who the WORD of GOD says in the NEW TESTAMENT are those who BELIEVE and FOLLOW God's WORD.
Gentiles are now grafted in to God's ISRAEL and are a part of the NEW COVENANT (ROMANS 11:16-27) If you are not a part of God's ISRAEL you have no part in the NEW COVENANT (please see; Galatians 3:28-29; Colossians 3:11; Romans 10:11-13; Romans 2:28-29; Jeremiah 31:33-4; Hebrews 8:10-12; Hebrews 10:14-17)
God's Word disagrees with you.
................
SIN is the breaking of God's Commandments (
James 2:9-11;
Romans 7:7;
1 John 3:4)
Those who CONTINUE in UNREPENTANT SIN will NOT enter into the KINGDOM of HEAVEN.
................
God's 4th commandment is one of the ten (
Exodus 20:8-11) If we knowingly break it when God asks us not to we stand guilty before God of committing sin (
James 2:8-12). If we do not seek him in repentance and forgiveness we are in danger of the Judgement (
Hebrews 10:26-27)
Sunday worship is a tradition and teaching of man that has led many to break the commandments of God. Jesus says that if we follow the traditions of man that break the commandments of God we are not following God (
Matthew 15:3-9)
There is not one scripture in all of God's Word that says that God's 4th Commandment is now ABOLISHED and we are now commanded to KEEP Sunday as a Holy day.
Who should we follow the teachings and traditions of men or the Word of God? Who should we believe the Words of men or the Word of God?
In times of ignorance God winks at but now ,<when a KNOWLEDGE of the truth has come> calls all men everywhere to REPENT (FOLLOW) (Acts 17:30-31).
