We left off with the great tribulation came and the seven trumpets have sounded in Rev. 7. What about Rev. 8? Why is there silence in heaven?

First, few verses to consider:

Revelation 6:9-11
[9] And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held:
[10] And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?
[11] And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.

Revelation 11:7-8
[7] And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.
[8] And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.

The souls of them that were slain for the Word of God are the Saints who have died before us. Their SOULS went up into heaven to be with Christ and when they see that Christ has finished sealing ALL of His people and thre are still some sealed Christians on earth when the Great Tribulation starts. They protested how long before Lord will break his silence and start to judge the unfaithful congregation. The Lord told them to wait a little longer until the rest of their brethren who are still alive on earth to be "killed" should be fulfilled first then God will do something about it. So how does we, Christians, be killed?

Look at Revelation 11:7, AFTER our testimony for salvation, is ended (because God has finished sealing all of His people through our testimony), the beast will be loosened from bottomless pit with power to be able to wage spiritual war against the Saints, be able to overcome them and KILL THEM. Yes, there are some Christians being physically killed all over the world today for their faith, but here the "killing" of the two witnesses that God talked about has to do more with the silence of their testimony IN THE CONGREGATION because the false prophets and christs have replaced the truthful testimony with their own lies (lying signs and wonders). This is the time of the apostasy! It is the time of Great Tribulation for the Saints. But it is not the end yet! It is only a beginning of sorrow of what is coming next! This is what 5th seal is about. But when the sixth seal comes:

Revelation 6:12-17
[12] And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;
[13] And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.
[14] And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.
[15] And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;
[16] And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:
[17] For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?

After God told the souls to wait until the days of the apostasy is fulfilled first, then God will break his silence and start judge His unfaithful congregation on our behalf! This is the judgment of the harlot PRIOR to Second Coming. Please note that with sixth seal opens, there will be signs in the sun, moon and stars? What will happen to His Saints at this time? Consider wisely:

Matthew 24:29-31
[29] Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
[30] And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
[31] And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

Immediately after the Great Tribulation of those days, the sixth seal started! What does that mean to God's Saints who are still alive on earth at that time? Like God did with Lot, God has commanded His people to come out of the unfaithful congregation, Babylon the Great, before He judges her so that they will not be partakers of her sins, or receive her plagues!

Revelation 18:4-5
[4] And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.
[5] For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.

In other words, God does not want His sealed people to remain in an unfaithful congregation where God will use the false prophets and christs who rules therein to deceive many AS A JUDGMENT!

2 Thessalonians 2:9-11
[9] Even him (false prophets and christs), whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
[10] And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
[11] And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

This is Abomination of Desolation staning in the holy place (church)! That is why Christ warned:

Matthew 24:15-16
[15] When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)
[16] Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:

Christ warned that WHEN WE SEE the abomination of desolation standing in your church or many church, avoid them. It is a sign to you that God is using Satan's army of false prophets and christs to come into church and deceive many with lying signs and wonders.

Once we flee from church and could not find other faithful church, we will know that the end is near. And the great tribualtion for the Saints IN THE CHURCH, is over! Remember, "Immediately after the tribulation of those days?" When you leave church, the great tribulation for you for your faith is over. You are under God's judgment but you must avoid these churches at all cost. Do not go to the church of Joel Osteen, Joyce Meyers, Todd Bentley, and thousands of other who is coming after the working of Satan ebcause their testimony does NOT have Truth and Salvation! Their doctrines sound so good that it can kill those people in the church who are not yet sealed by God. They are deceived! They will NOT find salvation even if they seek for it but cannot find it or have desire to be saved but they will find it. have a desire to saved and want to find it but cannot find it:

Revelation 9:3-6

[3] And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power.
[4] And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads.
[5] And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man.
[6] And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them.

Why?! Remember, God has FINISHED sealing all of His people through the testimony of Two Witnesses. Once the testimony of Two Witnesses is finished, salvation ends! God has sealed all of His people, leaving the rest of the congregation who have NOT been sealed by Him to be given to the Gentiles (false prophets and christs) to be deceived!

Revelation 11:1-2
[1] And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein.
[2] But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.

God has sealed his people. He removed His People OUT of unfaithful congregation just like He did with Lot as an example! Then God will judge the CORPORATE part of the church, people who have not sealed by him, for their unfaithfulness. Thus, is the end of Great Tribulation period FOR The Saints because they have come out of the church and start seeing the "SIGNS" in the Sun, Moon and Stars, where they will realize that God's coming is near AFTER He first judge His congregation spiritually which I beleive is taking place right now. Sorry to say. All of this must take place PRIOR to Second Coming. Once the period of judgment of Babylon the Great is finished, Christ will reveal in the air where He will gather His Elect at the Last Trump.

Sorry for being long winded here but I hope this will help give you something to think about.

Now back to your question, what is silence in heaven for about space an hour means?

_____________________________________________

I believe that silence in heaven of revelation chapter 8 represents the silence that shall be on earth at this time. As for example when Christ told Peter (and the church in general), that whatsoever he bound on earth shall have been bound in heaven, and whatsoever he looses on earth shall have been loosed in heaven (Matthew 16:18). Your "translation" may say shall be, but the actual wording of scripture is "having been" or "shall have been." It illustrates what was already ordained in heaven is worked out on earth through His church. Likewise when Revelation 8 says that at the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven half an hour, it illustrates there was ordained silence on earth. In other words, at this time there will be no testimony of the Word of God (thus the silence of the Kingdom of heaven on earth before God pours out this judgment. It is a time of a great famine in the earth, but not of literal bread and water.

Amos 8:9-10
  • "And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the Lord GOD, that I will cause the sun to go down at noon, and I will darken the earth in the clear day:
  • And I will turn your feasts into mourning, and all your songs into lamentation; and I will bring up sackcloth upon all loins, and baldness upon every head; and I will make it as the mourning of an only son, and the end thereof as a bitter day."
Just as in the end of Israel, there shall be this same famine in the New Testament congregation, a silence where the Word of God will not be heard in the churches. I believe that this prophecy runs parallel to God's declaration that the saints are killed (Revelation chapter 11) where their testimony (the Word of God) is finished or no longer heard. Their testimony or witness being finished is equivalent to their silence, as they lie spiritually as 'dead' in the street of the holy city. Killed by those who hated their testimony which was as torment to them. That is a prelude to God's final judgment.

Revelation 8:1
  • "And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour."
Whatsoever we shall bind on earth shall "have been" bound in heaven: and whatsoever we shall loose on earth shall "have been" loosed in heaven. Often in Revelation, heaven is the representation of the Kingdom of God going forth on earth, as seen in the portraits of Revelation chapter 12.

I believe that this is the revelation of the judgment of God, which was written in the book, being revealed to the elect by the Lamb of God. Incorporated under this seventh seal is the final trumpet judgments, which the children of God (the watchmen) had been warning against. The number seven signifies the completeness or totality. The Lord has built His church and at this time it is complete, thus the long prophesied judgment can commence.

Revelation 7:3
  • " Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads."
When all God's people are sealed (Ephesians 4:30) or saved that are going to be saved, it is then that God will bring His judgment upon the earth. But not until. Where God has set His church as a watchmen to speak and not remain silent (Isaiah 62:6-8), at this time there is silence in the external covenanted Kingdom of heaven on earth. Judgment 'having been' bound in heaven, was bound in earth, but here the corporate church, which is spiritually the holy city Jerusalem, is about to fall. The silence is a synonym for the inability of the people to preach the Word of God 'because' God has removed His Spirit from them (2nd Thessalonians 2:7). Because God who had bound Satan, is He who will also loose Satan because of their sins. There will be no Word of truth going forth in the Kingdom of God on earth (the corporate churches) because of their unfaithfulness. This is a symbolism 'signifying' a time of trouble when the church becoming spiritually as Babylon, will fal, as Babylon did.

Isaiah 47:5-6
  • "Sit thou silent, and get thee into darkness, O daughter of the Chaldeans: for thou shalt no more be called, The lady of kingdoms.
  • I was wroth with my people, I have polluted mine inheritance, and given them into thine hand: thou didst shew them no mercy; upon the ancient hast thou very heavily laid thy yoke."
Revelation 8:1 is the prelude to the judgment upon the Church. Silence in heaven signifies that there is an absence of the true Word of God being preached in the congregations, an apostasy, a famine of hearing the Word of God as judgment is upon them. The word is "not heard" in the churches (the earthly representation of the kingdom of heaven) and that ushers in these trumpets incorporated under that seventh seal of the book. Without their knowledge, the Spirit of truth is passed away from them, and the Word is become ineffective as they have adulterated it. See the like-symbols God used in Jeremiah when speaking of his people forsaking Him.

Jeremiah 8:13-15
  • "I will surely consume them, saith the LORD: there shall be no grapes on the vine, nor figs on the fig tree, and the leaf shall fade; and the things that I have given them shall pass away from them.
  • Why do we sit still? assemble yourselves, and let us enter into the defenced cities, and let us be silent there: for the LORD our God hath put us to silence, and given us water of gall to drink, because we have sinned against the LORD.
  • We looked for peace, but no good came; and for a time of health, and behold trouble!"
They say Peace, peace, but there is no peace, there is no faithful Word, there is no reconciliation with God in salvation, though they looked for it. There came trouble and adversity with God as they were and are deceived. Likewise, the Church is still saying "Peace, Peace when in reality there is trouble." God will remove Himself from the unfaithful Church that there is silence within it's walls. While the Elect will see the true signs by this Revelation, having been sealed by the Spirit of truth beforehand (Revelation 7), there is only lying signs and empty visions for those who have the spirit that refuses to receive truth. It is a time of great mourning, where the prophets in God's house are false and are teaching abominations in the name of Christ. The sinful man ruling God's house as if he were God.

2nd Thessalonians 2:8-12
  • "And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:
  • Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
  • And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
  • And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
  • That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness."
Because of this silence, the "man of God," who has been sealed with the Spirit, will ultimately remove himself from that congregation, while the "man of sin" will rejoice in his usurping authority and his rule. In reality he has taken a position seated 'as god' ruling there by the spirit of antichrist, the spirit of disobedience or lawlessness (Ephesians 2:2). In other words, he is supplanting God's word with his own word, no more the man of righteousness but becoming very literally, the man of unrighteousness or lawlessness. We can get at least some sense of this lawlessness in God's house in the lamentations.

Lamentations 2:9-12
  • "Her gates are sunk into the ground; he hath destroyed and broken her bars: her king and her princes are among the Gentiles: the law is no more; her prophets also find no vision from the LORD.
  • The elders of the daughter of Zion sit upon the ground, and keep silence: they have cast up dust upon their heads; they have girded themselves with sackcloth: the virgins of Jerusalem hang down their heads to the ground.
  • Mine eyes do fail with tears, my bowels are troubled, my liver is poured upon the earth, for the destruction of the daughter of my people; because the children and the sucklings swoon in the streets of the city.
  • They say to their mothers, Where is corn and wine? when they swooned as the wounded in the streets of the city, when their soul was poured out into their mothers' bosom."
God has made the prophets silent, where they have no vision or revelation from the Lord. In bringing judgment upon this great city Jerusalem which once was used of God to restrain iniquity by His Spirit, He has removed His Spirit from the midst of it. Without the Spirit of God there is no more vision or word from God. It was because of their lawlessness and abominations that this judgment came upon His people. This is the silence in the congregation of God, a mirror image of God's silence (not speaking) to them in the churches.

There are many different symbols portraying this, such as, "Sacrifice and offering ceasing", "the two witnesses being killed," "the daily (or continual) taken away," or that "the saints have been overcome." God in this silence will turn their feasts or festivals into mourning, and all their songs into lamentations. What is bound in heaven, is bound in earth. And as Babylon fell, so the Church will fall.

Silence in heaven is the prelude to the second coming of the Lord, just as it was a prelude to the first coming. You will note that for about 400 years (a Biblically significant number) before the first coming of Christ, there was no word of God to Israel. This is not coincidence. The first and second coming of Christ are so similar, that often we may mistake prophecies of the first coming, for the second, and vice versa. But once again we see how the first coming of Christ and the second coming of Christ, are inextricably connected. ..as there is really nothing new under the Sun.

[12] And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;
[13] And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.
[14] And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.
[15] And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;

Who do you think is killing those that keep the faith of Jesus in Rev. 14?
It's certainly not the church doing any killing.

What do you think the cage part is showing in Rev. 18:2?
Babylon has become a cage of every unclean and hateful bird. It's pretty self explanatory.

How can there be a resurrection of the just before the 7th trumpet sounds----bringing the announcement of time to reward?

Riddle me this.....how is it possible for the mystery of God to be finished in Rev 10 and yet we see vials being poured out in Rev 16, and at the seventh vial.......it is done.

Rev 10
7 But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.
Rev 16
17 And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done.

Additionally, you have confused the 7th trumpet blown by an angel to the Last Trump blown on the Feast of Trumpets.

Luke 14:14 places the time of recompense as when?
You are confusing the 7th trumpet blown by an angel to the Last Trump blown on the feast of trumpets. We can easily prove this by the great multitude of Rev 7.

And you can prove that with Scripture?

Why would the church not be here during the trumpets?
1 Thes 5
9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,

Rev 6
15 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;
16 And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:
17 For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?

Rev 8
1 And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour.
2 And I saw the seven angels which stood before God; and to them were given seven trumpets.

6 And the seven angels which had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound.
