Psalms and Proverbs are so rich in speaking throughout the ages to our common needs. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you, and you are most welcome. Amen about Psalms and Proverbs.

God bless you.

Praying for Syria at this most dire time.

That old nation of Syria, like Israel, still in the news, still a place of conflict and pain. But You, O Lord, though not much in "The Bad News" or "The Fake News", are still in the Good News (the gospel), and that good news is still available to Syrians. May You bring it to them as individuals, to minister to their minds, hearts, and souls. Your Good News has even shaped entire nations, like the USA, and especially Israel. Those that listen are blessed, those that reject or cursed.
Those that have listened have even been blessed physically with bountiful food, medicine, and other things that bless their bodies. Their physical lands have been blessed with water, planting, and great harvests. Father, we know that Your Word will be fulfilled regarding Syria, wars, destruction, etc; but we pray for "the remnant", for the "innocent", for the "common man", for Your mercy and grace and provision. We pray for peace in the land, and peace in the hearts in that land. With man things may be impossible, but we call upon You, with Whom nothing is impossible. Your ways are higher than our ways, so in spite of how things look to the natural eye, we pray that You will still do great things to bless in Syria, and that You will be glorified because of it. Amen.

LLoJ loads up his "flying church van" to head to Syria......

Isaiah 9:12 The Syrians on the east and the Philistines on the west
devour Israel with open mouth.
For all this his anger has not turned away,
and his hand is stretched out still.

Isaiah 17:3 The fortress also will cease from Ephraim,
The kingdom from Damascus,
And the remnant of Syria;
They will be as the glory of the children of Israel,”
Says Yahweh of hosts.

Acts 21:3 and having discovered Cyprus, and having left it on the left, we were sailing to Syria, and did land at Tyre, for there was the ship discharging the lading.

lRoman 10:18 But I ask, did they not hear? Indeed they did:
“Their voice has gone out into all the earth,
their words to the ends of the world
[Psalm 19:4]

Good Evening all,
I know many of you will already be praying for the situation in Syria. for those who have not yet, I ask that you pray for those who have died, for those who are still alive and suffering, and for the leaders of the countries involved, that they will find a peaceful solution to the current crisis, and will not allow the war the escalate to a far worse state.
God bless.
Some Encouragement for your prayers to our wonderful Father in the Name of His Beloved Son Jesus :
Our ministry was blessed last week to provide an Arabic centric dinner, game time as well as a presentation of "Why we Christians celebrate Easter." We had about 70 to 80 Muslim refugees who came, mostly Syrians Kurds. They were very responsive and some were led to Christ by our Arabic and Global Gates speaker. Now they never would have been interested in attending this unless we had already been showing that we truly love them and care about them as well as the plight of their families suffering in their native lands. We have been doing that for years and they know our love is unconditional. Christ brings us into relationship with Him and we are called to build relationships of caring with others. Jesus taught us that we are our brother's keeper with the parable of the Good Samaritan.

People simply will simply not care what you have to say until you show them that you truly care about them. I've been to the Syrian border in both Jordan and Turkey and seen the impact that both ISIS and the Syrian war has had on those families. I am happy to say that the tiny Christian populations living on the other side of the Syrian border have risen up to love on these poor refugees in a very dramatic and heartwarming way. We were able to make several visits to families while we were over there and were welcomed and blessed by many families. One visit I'll never forget was to one shelter housing 2 Syrian families that had escaped from ISIS. ISIS was shooting people indiscriminately, as they ran from their homes. The people we were introduced to were young families and they had many dear and beautiful children. They were all so welcoming to us and showed us great hospitality despite they were living in a garage with no plumbing. They told us their stories of how God had protected and rescued their families in their flight away from ISIS. They were Muslims who had all come to know the love of Christ very deeply and we all sang Christian songs together with thankful hearts to celebrate their deliverance. One was the songs we sang together was "King of Kings and Lord of Lord Glory - Hallelujah!" We sang it in English while others with us joined in Arabic, Kurdish and Turkish all at once. These little ones, about 9 years old and under were all dancing with the light of the Lord's love shining in their eyes. By the time we aid our goodbyes there was simply not a dry left eye among us. The kids also gave all of us heartfelt hugs. I cannot emphasize enough how we were so blessed by the love and warmth these families provided us. All of us from the US felt like we had known these familes our whole life but that is what the love of Christ does every time we fellowship with families overseas.

The Lord means to express His love in every people group and despite the awful things that happen in this world Jesus is showing Himself to many nations and is moving among the Syrians and Kurds in heartwarming ways. When we see worship among the nations we get a taste of what the great gathering at the end of the Gospel Age will be like.

  • Rev 7:9-10 After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, saying, "Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!"
So I just want to encourage you that when we pray for the Syrians, as other nations oppressed by the boot of tyrannical leaders in this world, you really join yourselves to their plight. It is God who makes us one body, mind and spirit with our brothers and sisters in Christ. And when we pray for those who do not yet know Christ then we are praying for the Lord's harvest, which He Himself is also diligently working. So much of the Great Commission work is simple childlike obedience on our part. The Lord Himself is doing all the heavy lifting. I feel sometimes like we're just little kids with our toy hammer helping our daddy to put an addition on the house, wink wink! Be assured Jesus is already deeply engaged and working on the hearts of oppressed people everywhere. Out of the abysmal treatment of so many people many are coming to know the Lord.

The below video is from Doctors without Borders and provides a perspective on what it is like to live in a refugee camp. So many families have been displaced - last count is 65 million. They are just families struggling to survive while in many ways the world has turned a blind eye.

King of Kings is a joyous song in many nations - one example below
There may be pain in the night but joy comes in the morning. He will work all things together for our good. Nothing can stop the indomitable Spirit of God or this love that we now have in Jesus Christ our Lord!!!
In Christ, John 1720
