Thankyou doug I appreciate your input on it...sadly I'm still not fully Answered or semi.I pray I get it :)
In Deuteronomy 8 Moses is listing the things God had provided.
One of those things He provided was Bread.
Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every Word that proceeds from the mouth of God.
In Exodus, God had told them He would provide for them. This is the Word they were to rely upon.
Then to show He could be relied upon, they were given bread 6 days a week. Double on the 6th day.
Lesson: Don't focus on what God has provided, focus on God Himself

@Missgrundy

This probably doesnt answer the question you asked, but when i think of manna im reminded of this scripture.Paul refers to the manna that the Israelites ate.

2 Corinthians 8:14-15 New King James Version (NKJV)
14 but by an equality, that now at this time your abundance may supply their lack, that their abundance also may supply your lack—that there may be equality. 15 As it is written, “He who gathered much had nothing left over, and he who gathered little had no lack.”[a]

Also I prayed so much over this Doug and adding onto what you said I got to understand or 'feel' that moses was just trying to emphasize on how much God is with us He promised them protection and guidance to the promised land but they doubted coz of the desert that they'll die in the desert that's what they thought .so by relying on what comes from the mouth of GOD meant from what HE had promised them from the beginning of the journey.

I started going through my books today, trying to weed out and condense what I have, trying to simplify and reduce my belongings. It has taken a long time. Today I was reading "Words to love by" by Mother Teresa I would like to share this:

I never look at the masses as my responsibility
I look at the individual. I can love only one person at a time.
I can only feed one person at a time.
Just one, one, one.
You get closer to Christ by coming closer to each other.
As Jesus said "Whatever you do to the least of my brethren, you do to me."
So you being......I begin.
I picked up one person-maybe if I didn't pick up that one person
I wouldn't have picked up 42,000.
The whole work is only a drop in the ocean,
But if I didn't put the drop in, the ocean would be one drop less.
Same thing for you
same thing in your family
same thing in the church where you go

just begin.....one, one, one.

Do it anyway
People are often unreasonable, illogical and self-centered: Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives: Be kind anyway.
If you are successful, you will win some false friends and some true enemies: Succeed anyway.
If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you: Be honest and frank anyway.
What you spend years building, someone could destroy overnight: Build anyway.
If you find serenity and happiness, they may be jealous;Be happy anyway.
The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow; Do good anyway.
Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough; Give the world the best you've go anyway.

You see, in the final analasis it is between you and God; It was never between you and them anyway.

Actually He provided literal "manna", bread directly from heaven, so to speak.

Yet they disbelieved and even went on the attack, not just against Moses, who they conspired to kill on more than one occasion, but also God.

In addition He parted the Red Sea.

His provision, and protection was evident, yet many hated God in their hearts, regardless.

ThNks I get that i read all through the whole chapter my question is the manna why did he say man shall not live by bread alone but by the word that cometh from the mouth of the LORD? And use the eating of manna? Why did he follow up with that statement? What does manna have to do with the word of the LORD? did it have any significance? I think I'm seeking for a theological than spiritual answer :)

Here's the OP statement:

I would like to see deeper fellowship get more traffic than it usually does. This is a great forum that we can all enjoy. The Church in acts met daily for fellowship. Would you join me every day, in this thread, to fellowship together? :) You could share a psalm, song, scripture, or whatever seems edifying.

If you have anything edifying, encouraging, or to fellowship, or what is mentioned in the above OP statement, such as a song, psalm, scripture for the purpose of deeper fellowship, please share here.

Thank you kindly.

No problem. There are other forums here on CF to ask theological questions, etc.

Here we are uplifting each other, encouraging, supporting, and edifying as we fellowship together.

Post any edifying verses, encouragement, etc. here. It will be most welcome, Miss Grundy.

Psalm 1:1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
1:2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
1:3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

This is one of my favorite Psalms.
Just a couple thoughts on it.
In verse 1 we see what the Blessed or Happy man doesn't do.
If you walk in the counsel of the ungodly, it won't be long before you are standing in the way of sinners, shortly after that you will be sitting in the seat of the scornful or mockers.

But the Blessed man meditates (chews) on God's Word.
And the result is awesome.

Jeremiah 17:8 For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and thatspreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.

Yesterday I was able to go to the river and sit, paint and read. I love being surrounded by nature; the breeze, smells, sounds and watching.....just watching. So many changes happen around us in nature from the rain, the wind, the rising of the river and seeing the effects of high water on the banks, the newness of spring.... the changes are constant.

I was thinking about God and how He never changes. No matter what is happening in this world, He is a constant. His love is the anchor in life, His steadfastness, His care for us.

Thank you, Lord, for times of refreshing and restoration. Thank you for never leaving me.

Be blessed today, knowing that you can depend on God.

Amen. Things can change for the worse sometimes, but God never changes, His goodness is always good.

What you posted reminds me these lyrics based on Psalm 23 that i'm listening to:

Must have been relaxing.
