The pre-flood world is an interesting topic to speculate and study, there are things that aren't completely clear about it and so I'm curious about people's view on it and what it was like. How it was different from the post flood world from the environment, to the people, to the creatures.

We do know some things, but when you think of the pre-flood world what do you see?

Along with speculation, the pre-flood world and the story of Noah is a popular subject for fiction, movies, novels etc. and so I'm wondering which ones to recommend and why. I know many demand complete biblical accuracy in such things, I'm a little more lenient as long as it's respectful and keeps the proper themes.

I have watched many lectures and debates on YouTube about evolution, young and old earth creation. Find them quite fascinating and informative. You might enjoy them also, if you haven’t already done so. I am definitely a “young earth” believer.

I world far different than most picture. For me, Adam and Eve were created perfect. The original language says not "good", but 'functional." Their brains were 100% fully functional. I see the pre-flood people as being total savants--no idiot part. They had hundreds of years in which to perfect their talents and abilities. Masters at whatever they undertook within a very short time. In other words, all geniuses. For some reason, even Christians view them as grunting cavemen, sitting around the campfire, gnawing on raw bones. They had perfect weather, no shortage of food, zero diseases and no genetic flaws yet. The ground, no longer perfect because of the sin of not only Adam and Eve, but of Cain, was still far more fertile than what we have today. And must have created beautiful gardens. Perfect retention, no need for books, everything memorized perfectly with everything being passed on orally. Not that they couldn't have had books and the ability to write.They bread cattle and other animals, musicians, artists in all manner of materials.
en 4:20 And Adah bare Jabal: he was the father of such as dwell in tents, and of such as have cattle.
Gen 4:21 And his brother's name was Jubal: he was the father of all such as handle the harp and organ.
Gen 4:22 And Zillah, she also bare Tubalcain, an instructer of every artificer in brass and iron: and the sister of Tubalcain was Naamah.

I'm sure the word organ was not the same as we know it today, original language says "reed-pipe."These were not stupid people. Probably more advanced than we in many areas. I am sure they made beautiful buildings and had very beautiful cloths for clothing, not just animals skins. It was obviously a world were everything they did they ended up being used for evil and violence according to the bible. I believe they had great architecture and that all was passed on down to Noah and his children. Some got passed down, other stuff was lost. I believe that is where the knowledge of some of these past great civilizations first came from, eventually warped by Satan and man.s natural inclination to sin. The knowledge at first being hoarded by the elite--knowledge is power. Gradually being lost.

This is very general, but when I consider what’s happening in the world today, and that the Lord became so troubled by man back then, even regretting making them, that He would destroy every living thing (except the selected) with the Flood... things must have been pretty bad. According to Genesis it seems that it was more about violence and immorality than anything. I doubt the population was of significance to have harmed the environment or animals in any way. I like the “Is Genesis History” documentary. Interesting question.

The Great Pyramid was built Before The Flood. You can clearly see signs of Water Erosion on The Great Pyramid where the Flood waters were :

Also, there was sand almost up to the Sphinx's Neck until the 1800's because of the sand that was deposited from The Flood and you can clearly see the evidence of Water Erosion from this picture from 1860-1890 :

What I see before the flood was a smaller earth with one
continent and large seas, rather than oceans. There was
water or ice above the atmosphere as a shield against UV
radiation. Due to this, the atmosphere was thicker and
the gravity was lower than it is now. All this led to longer
lives, lower damage due to radiation, and gigantism in
plants and animals.

True lots of speculation about it.

But there is also inspired prophetic statement on it - in not so ancient a time... .where the original autographs are still with us - and the original language English. Cases where God showed in vision the conditions before the flood.

1. No rain before the flood. Genesis 2
2. Long life spans before the flood - Genesis 5.
3. Sin before the flood - Genesis 4 and Genesis 6.
4. Giants before the flood - Genesis 6.
5. Two divisions of mankind -- the wicked descendants of Cain and the righteous descendants of Seth - Genesis 5.

According to Genesis it seems that it was more about violence and immorality than anything. I doubt the population was of significance to have harmed the environment or animals in any way.
Genesis 1:28 And God blessed them. And God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it,
Genesis 6:1 When man began to multiply on the face of the land and daughters were born to them, 11 Now the earth was corrupt in God's sight, and the earth was filled with violence.

First command from God, fill the earth.

God reports men were multiplying. If you understand math, when you go from adding to multiplying, the numbers go up exponentially. I have read one mathematical analysis of the long lifespan and the high reproduction rates that mathematics supports a number of 10 TRILLION on earth. We are only approaching 10 billion currently.

God says the earth was filled. With what kind of people? Violent ones.

I believe there where many people and plants living then, more than we have now. All the dead organic material has now become our oil, so you know it was a lot before the flood.

1. No rain before the flood. Genesis 2
No clouds then and no stormy/strong winds.
There were no rainbows before the flood.
5. Two divisions of mankind -- the wicked descendants of Cain and the righteous descendants of Seth - Genesis 5.
God says the earth was filled with violence.
Only 8 were saved.
God would have saved Sodom if there were 10 righteous people in the city.

There may have been some that died in the flood that went to heaven, but I doubt it was a significant percentage of the population.

geography unknown
Scripture does speak to the geography change from the flood.

Psalm 104:5 He set the earth on its foundations,
so that it should never be moved.
6 You covered it with the deep as with a garment;
the waters stood above the mountains.
7 At your rebuke they fled;
at the sound of your thunder they took to flight.
8 The mountains rose, the valleys sank down
to the place that you appointed for them.
9 You set a boundary that they may not pass,
so that they might not again cover the earth.

Job 38:8 “Who shut up the sea behind doors
when it burst forth from the womb,
9 when I made the clouds its garment
and wrapped it in thick darkness,
10when I fixed limits for it
and set its doors and bars in place,
11 when I said, ‘This far you may come and no farther;
here is where your proud waves halt’?
12 “Have you ever given orders to the morning,
or shown the dawn its place,
13 that it might take the earth by the edges
and shake the wicked out of it?

Earth was much flatter before the flood. Scientists have calculated that if the earth was flat, there would be enough water to cover it by 9000 feet. So the highest mountain was less than 9000 feet high. I believe there was one ocean and one continent that were split by the great shifts in the tectonic plates during and after the flood.

I believe that global climate was much more even also. Antarctica contains coal from vegetation that is not now present there. Think about creation being very good and God's command to fill the earth. The present day climate and geography is not conducive to that command. One ocean, one land and a warm global climate is much more fitted to filling the earth with people.

I just found out about scientists theory of Pangaea, the one original supercontinent on earth. The most interesting thing is the the current seven continents fit together like a jig saw puzzle to make one large continent.

You cannot build an Ark that size by just strapping logs together. There had to be metal tools and all industry required to make them. You cannot corrupt all flesh unless you are able to mess things up at the genetic level. That places pre flood tech at our levels now.

The earth was split up here;

Gen 10:25 And unto Eber were born two sons: the name of one was Peleg; for in his days was the earth divided; and his brother's name was Joktan.
