Israel became a nation in 1948.

Last generation beginning in 1948?

Will many of those born after 1948 see the Rapture?

Psalm 90:10 - The days of our life are 70-80 years, average being 75-add 75 to 1948, we get 2023. (Rapture)

It took Noah 120 years to build the Ark, the Ark is a type and shadow of the Church.

A.J. Tomlinson became leader of the Church in 1903, died in 1943- 40 years as leader. Moses, God's leader of the children in the wilderness- 40 years.

3 - 40 year generations = 120 years

1903 to 2023 = 120 years

A generation is 40 years. (Hebrews 3:9-10)(Numbers 32:13)

No man knows the day or the hour of the Rapture (Matthew 24:36)

NOTE: A day nor the hour has not been noted here as to the Lord's return.

-Some thoughts by Joe Green-

It makes a lot of sense to believe or say those born between 1948 and 1988 will see the Rapture.

It makes a lot of sense to believe or say some over the age of 70 will see the Rapture.

It is possible the Rapture will be no later than 2023, do the math, 1903 + 120 years = 2023.

It makes a lot of sense to believe or say we will not know the day nor the hour as to the Lord's return. However, we should know close to the year.

I will start off from last century but there have been many more predictions before that.
1936 Herbert W. Armstrong The founder of the Worldwide Church of God told members of his church that the Rapture was to take place in 1936, and that only they would be saved. After the prophecy failed, he changed the date three more times.
1941 Jehovah's Witnesses A prediction of the end from the Jehovah's Witnesses, a group which branched from the Bible Student movement.
1977 William M. Branham This Christian minister predicted the Rapture would occur no later than 1977.
1982 Pat Robertson In late 1976 on his 700 Club TV programme, Robertson predicted that the end of the world would come in this year.
1985 Lester Sumrall This minister predicted the end in this year, even writing a book about it entitled I Predict 1985.
1988 Sep 11–13, Oct 3 Edgar C. Whisenant Whisenant predicted in his book 88 Reasons Why the Rapture Could Be in 1988 that the Rapture of the Christian Church would occur between September 11 and 13, 1988. After his September predictions failed to come true, Whisenant revised his prediction date to October 3.
1993 David Berg Berg predicted the tribulation would start in 1989 and that the Second Coming would take place in 1993.
1994 Sep 6/29, Oct 2 Harold Camping Camping predicted the Rapture would occur on September 6, 1994. When it failed to occur he revised the date to September 29 and then to October 2.
2000 Jan 1 Jerry Falwell Falwell foresaw God pouring out his judgement on the world on this day.
2007 Apr 29 Pat Robertson In his 1990 book The New Millennium, Robertson suggests this date as the day of Earth's destruction.

So what makes your prediction any different that all of these and countless others?

There are plenty of verses that suggest that a generation might only be 40 years as you pointed out. And if the generation that saw the awakening does not pass until ALL is fulfilled... then the 1948 crowd is disappearing quickly. And 1948? Very important to God's plan, maybe more than even you realize... but that is a secular nation, not the Kingdom, nor does who is there represent all of Israel.

As an aside... did you know that Abraham was born in 1948? I am serious... that is one thousand nine hundred and forty eight years after creation. A stamp by God I would say! :)

I'm just going to leave this here....then I'm out :

N.T. Wright said:
The American obsession with the second coming of Jesus — especially with distorted interpretations of it — continues unabated. Seen from my side of the Atlantic, the phenomenal success of the Left Behind books appears puzzling, even bizarre[1]. Few in the U.K. hold the belief on which the popular series of novels is based: that there will be a literal “rapture” in which believers will be snatched up to heaven, leaving empty cars crashing on freeways and kids coming home from school only to find that their parents have been taken to be with Jesus while they have been “left behind.” This pseudo-theological version of Home Alone has reportedly frightened many children into some kind of (distorted) faith.

This dramatic end-time scenario is based (wrongly, as we shall see) on Paul’s First Letter to the Thessalonians, where he writes: “For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a shout of command, with the voice of an archangel and the trumpet of God. The dead in Christ will rise first; then we, who are left alive, will be snatched up with them on clouds to meet the Lord in the air; and so we shall always be with the Lord” (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17).

What on earth (or in heaven) did Paul mean?~Farewell to the Rapture

The New Covenant promised to Israel and Judah in Jeremiah 31:31-34 is found fulfilled by Christ during the first century in Hebrews 8:6-13, and is specifically applied to the Church in Hebrews 12:22-24, and 2 Corinthians 3:6-8.

We are painstakingly awaiting the fulfillment of this verse :

1 Thes 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17 Then we which are ALIVE and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air.

If we are not caught alive we shall be killed in the grief tribulation should we refuse to worship the beast and its mark, no option for mankind.

Watch for the signs of Matthew 24:

Matthew 24 (NASB)...Perilous Times: read from SIGNS

15 "Therefore when you see the "abomination of desolation" (man of lawlessness / anti-christ - 666) which was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, (11-12)standing in the holy place (NEW TEMPLE Jerusalem) (let the reader understand), (declaring himself to be God per miracles) 16 then those who are in Judea must flee to the mountains. 24 For false Christs and false prophets will arise and will show great signs and wonders, so as to mislead, if possible, even the elect. Why is 1903 the base point? And how is 120 years the length of a generation?

Ken, the first generation wandered in the wilderness for 40 years - but they did not start from zero. They were already in the 20's, 30's, 40's. So that generation was into their 70's and 80's some of them.

Joshua 5:6 For the children of Israel walked forty years in the wilderness, till all the people that were men of war, which came out of Egypt, were consumed, because they obeyed not the voice of the LORD: unto whom the LORD sware that he would not shew them the land, which the LORD sware unto their fathers that he would give us, a land that floweth with milk and honey.

Greetings Joe!
I've seen many people trying to determine the length of a generation, but I think they are missing the point. The length of a generation has little to do with it. The scripture plainly says the generation that sees all these will not pass away...

So this means that not everyone that sees Israel become a nation will pass away before His return. Some people live to be 120 years old, not to say that His coming will stretch that many years, but that generation will not pass away until the last one has died.

As for the rapture being no later than 2023, I disagree. We have not entered into Daniel's 70th week yet, so the rapture is at least 7 years away. And considering that He will fulfill the fall feasts when He returns, I would not count on the rapture being before the fall of 2025.

Cheers

In 2030 it will be exactly 2000 years since Christ was crucified. That means the millennium begins then. In Hosea, God tells Israel that after 2 days He will revive them and on the third day He will raise them up. 2 days is 2000 years (church age) and the third day is the millennium in which Israel will rule over the nations under King Jesus. My point is that in the previous predictions the 2000 years had not yet been completed. There is a pretty good chance that the rapture of the church will take place in 2023. I'm not 100% sure about this, but I give it a 99% chance.

Key point _ yes - the generation that sees all these things come to pass and from where I'm looking almost all the prophecies are being fulfilled these days - except the days of Noah, and the abomination that maketh desolate standing where it ought not. All Nations have had the chance to receive the Gospel, even those that are considered uncontacted have been contacted they just refuse to be a part of the world as it is. From my point of view things begin to change more towards the worse since the 21st century.

Yes
That means the millennium begins then.

No yet ….I believe a false messianic age is coming after the rapture

The millennium begins after the end of that age

In Hosea, God tells Israel that after 2 days He will revive them and on the third day He will raise them up. 2 days is 2000 years (church age) and the third day is the millennium in which Israel will rule over the nations under King Jesus.
After 2000 years there is a rapture of the church (Jews and gentile) and a revival of Israel coming to the lord by outpouring of his spirit to combat the false messianic age

After 1000 years there is a resurrection of Israel dead at his coming to end the last age

Then the start of the millennium

My point is that in the previous predictions the 2000 years had not yet been completed. There is a pretty good chance that the rapture of the church will take place in 2023. I'm not 100% sure about this, but I give it a 99% chance.
My theory is a rapture before 2030 then the start of Israel’s revival to combat the coming false messianic age

Yes but…

Last generation beginning in 1948?
The “last generation” refers to the ones who will experience the fall of mystery Babylon and wrath of God

It does not start with the countdown of the birth of Israel

The last generation are those who will experience daniels 70th week

The last generation will experience the end of human government and beginning of divine government

The last generation will see the coming of lord/king Yasha

"No man knows the day or the hour of the Rapture (Matthew 24:36)
The rapture and the second coming are 2 different events

No one knows the day nor hour of his second coming

The rapture on the other hand can happen many years before the second coming

I believe the rapture will take place before 2030

We are the generation who can live to see all the end times, culminating with the glorious Return of Jesus.

Luke 21:29-36 Jesus told them a parable: Look at the fig tree, as soon as it buds you can tell that summer is near. In the same way when you see all this happening, you will know that the Kingdom of God is near. Truly, I tell you the present generation will live to see it all. My words will never pass away.

Be on your guard, do not let your minds be dulled by dissipation or worldly cares so that the great Day catches you unawares, for that Day will come upon everyone, the whole world over. Be on the alert, praying at all times for strength to pass safely through all that is coming and to stand in the presence of the Son of Man.
Ref: REB

The present generation - or the generation present: the same thing. When they; those alive to see Judah become a nation again, we will know the end times are upon us.

The fig tree – Israel is the vine, Judah is the fig tree: Isaiah 5:7, Hosea 9:10. The parable of the fig tree applies to the House of Judah, Matthew 21:43. Therefore when Judah starts to bud, that is: becomes a nation again, as they formed the State of Israel in May 1948, then within that generation, [a lifetime of 70 to 80 years] the end times events will commence. Ezekiel 12:25

The great Day – The Day of the Lord’s vengeance and wrath, the multi prophesied judgement/punishment of the nations, an event that will come unexpectedly, sudden and shocking all those who have failed to understand the Lord's plans and purposes. Isaiah 29:5-12, Isaiah 66:15-16, Revelation 6:12-17

That Day will come upon everyone There is no ‘rapture’ at this time, all will go through this judgement. Isaiah 24:1, Psalms 50:1-3, Zephaniah 3:8

Strength to pass safely through – This is often mistranslated as ‘escape all these things’, which is a serious error and is incorrect, as the previous sentence has just stated ‘that Day will come upon everyone’. What the Lord promises, is not a removal from earth – an escape as such, but protection. Psalms 91, Isaiah 43:1-2

The presence of the Son of Man – Jesus called Himself the ‘Son of Man’, when He was present on earth in a human body. This was necessary so as He could become our ‘kinsman Redeemer’. After the great Day of the Lord, when every faithful Christian has gathered in the holy Land, they will stand in His presence when the 144,000 are selected; Revelation 14:1. Then, later at His glorious Return, as King of Kings and Lord of Lords; His Name will be ‘The Word of God’. Revelation 19:13

Maybe. Parable of the fig tree generation would indicate before 2037.

If you THINK there is a "rapture" BEFORE the Lord's Return and resurrection of the dead
then PLEASE provide a Scripture that represents that event... you will find that EVERY
passage you incorrectly believe is the "rapture" is actually the Last Saints being "changed"
at the Lord's Return and resurrection of the dead.

The only thing is coming is a rabbinical messianic age

Or a Zionist messianic age , I think they are in agreement

If anyone during this time says yasha is here or there is not going to be telling the truth, it’s a deception

Yes I know yasha returns to rule in Jerusalem physically and visibly for all to see but it’s not anytime soon

What is coming is a rabbinical messianic age and they will rebuild the temple and expand Talmud law
