Does/did your church/parish have a veneration of the cross on Good Friday? I have seen online that some Lutheran churches are doing this, and I really like it. My church did not, but I wish they had.

No but then my congregation isn't particularly considered high church. Although they had a large wooden cross stationed near the front of the sanctuary where upon picking up a flower as you enter you walk up and attach it to the cross.

Yes.
The Passion Gospel is read, interspersed with hymns, which roughly coincides with the Stations of the Cross; a few of our parishes do a more formal version of the stations of the cross. Following the sermon is the procession of the cross, with the Adoration and the Reporaches chanted responsively between the choir and Pastor interspersed with hymns. Our service runs about 1 1/2 hour or a bit longer.

Very beautiful service.
