How or should some people try to free Christianity from western imperialism

What do you mean by 'western imperialism"?

Do you mean the kind of people that try to pressure Africans into adopting leftist American positions?

How or should some people try to free Christianity from western imperialism,Trumpism, and Christian American religious right.

How implies a tie between the aforementioned, and should implies a moral obligation. I do not think for one minute that Christianity is subordinate to imperialism nor "Trumpism". I have confidence that American Christian conservatives can and do think for themselves and are not slavish mindless zombies blindly following after Trump and his administration rather than following Christ. As far as I know, today at least, America is not in the territory conquering business. Come to think of it, has any country came into recognition as such without imperialism in their history? All countries that wish to remain a country are in the diplomacy business.

Christianity as a religion, like all other religions riding on the back of the system drinking the Saints blood, is doomed to die. (Zechariah 5:5-11, Revelation 17 ) This is why those who have faith in Jesus and God's Word need to come out of her so she can be destroyed along with Babylon. (Revelation 18)

What persecution awaits those who have faith in Jesus before that great day comes? Unbelievable! Best be prepared and get away from the beast of the earth ruling the nations at the moment.

(right wing and left wing - we need to take the good out of both and fly away from the crap!)

Revelation 18:1-8
After this I saw another angel coming down from heaven. He had great authority, and the earth was illuminated by his splendour. With a mighty voice he shouted:

‘“Fallen! Fallen is Babylon the Great"
She has become a dwelling for demons
and a haunt for every impure spirit,
a haunt for every unclean bird,
a haunt for every unclean and detestable animal.
For all the nations have drunk
the maddening wine of her adulteries.
The kings of the earth committed adultery with her,
and the merchants of the earth grew rich from her excessive luxuries.’

Then I heard another voice from heaven say:

‘“Come out of her, my people,
so that you will not share in her sins,
so that you will not receive any of her plagues;
for her sins are piled up to heaven,
and God has remembered her crimes.
Give back to her as she has given;
pay her back double for what she has done.
Pour her a double portion from her own cup.
Give her as much torment and grief
as the glory and luxury she gave herself.
In her heart she boasts,
“I sit enthroned as queen.
I am not a widow;
I will never mourn.”
Therefore in one day her plagues will overtake her:
death, mourning and famine.
She will be consumed by fire,
for mighty is the Lord God who judges her.

I'm a Christian. I really object to this kind of attack on Christianity.

Theres definitely a move away conservative fudnementalism towards true christian roots. Jesus lived in a time of extreme fundementalism and introduced liberal values and social equality.

When you say that we need to come out of "Christianity"/out of "her", so that she can be "destroyed" what, specifically, are you referring to?

Thanks!

Most of that is a liberal/socialist myth, you know. Jesus called 12 men an 0 women to be his closest co-workers, although he liked women and was liked by them. He charged men with the commission to spread his church, but not women. He accepted the governance of the Roman Empire and never spoke against the class system that was a feature of the society in which he lived and worked, insisting that his kingdom was not of this world.

Hi Zoii, what do "conservative fundamentalists" believe that is different from true Christianity/the "Christian roots" you speak of?

Also, what are some of the liberal values that Jesus introduced when He walked among us?

Finally, are there things that the fundamentalists of Jesus' day hold in common with today's fundamentalists, and if so, what would some of those things be?

Thanks :)

Yours and His,
David

meh I know thats what some men say - but of course its not true. He was considered a radical non-conservative, and thats why he was executed. he supported womens rights. The classic liberal.

Hi David thanks for the question, Its an essay to answer that properly. But I find conservatives pervert jesus' teaching to the extreme, shifting between verses to find justifcation for the unjustifable. Allow me to illustrate.

Gun ownership and deaths resulting from said ownership in reference to the commandement thou shalt not kill. Ive heard it justified that jesus actually asked us and supports us to carry guns and to use them. Ive heard it justified that the killing of innocent women and children (eg as collateral damage in the bombing of a nation) is acknowledged to happen and is sanctioned by God... all with requisite verses.

Ive heard conservatives to argue that women shouldnt work, that arent to be making decisions in the house, that they have a part to play in the cause of rape, and that incest and domestic violence have some justifications given the right conext - again with requisite verses.

I find conservatives say on the one hand that the bible is literal and unchanging - yet dont expect workers in a hospital to stop caring on the sabbath. In fact those moaic laws seem to be played around depending on whether they suit or refute the conservative cause.

Ive seen so many contradictions on CF from men identifying as conservative - I know longer trust that view anymore. I find I am increasing aliented too by the conduct and vitriol of men echoing conservative sentiment.

I dont believe Jesus was like that. I dont believe that was his sentiment. So Im standing up and saying so even though its my experience in CF that it attracts attempts at ridicule. But so be it.

First, neither the terms nor the concepts we call conservative, or liberal, let alone anything that might be taken for womens rights, had any meaning at that time. Plus, he was thoroughly non-political, even in the face of a slave system and a despised military occupying force of Romans in what we now call Palestine.

God and Jesus both have been political. When you favour the destuction of one village and the protection of another - that for example is political. When you go against the convention of the stoning of a prosititute, that is being political. Where you make comments about the practices of the establishments of religion - thats being political. Case Rested!

Sorry, no. God is above politics in his moral judgments. :)
