Time goes slower at the DMV.

But I wonder though...will it still go slow...if like I don't have any agenda for going there? Like what if I go there to study, will time still be slow compared to if I go there because I need to renew my license kinda thing...

You can actually stop time from passing, just hop onto a very long queue.

Is it true that time is goes slower some places or is it just that time goes faster when you are busy? I just feel like time is going too fast. Lol should I move somewhere so it'll slow down?:doh1:
Did you know... if you travel the wrong way around the Earth you can arrive before you left.

Or that there is a place where you can walk North for an hour, walk East for an hour and walk South for an hour and have gotten nowhere :)

Time moves slower when moving at a high velocity or in higher gravity. But that's probably not what you meant.

Actually that kinda makes sense, I guess if I did things faster, time probably would go slower?

Time is actually relative to our perception (and technically doesn't exist, but that's a whole other subject =P). If you're focused on the passage of time, it'll seem to move slower. But, if you're engaged in an activity you enjoy, or are just really busy and are not aware of it, it'll appear to move faster. I think it all depends on how conscious you are of it, rather than it being relative to location (with the exception of the DMV mentioned above, lol).

I think time moves slower at work than it does on weekends.

not sure if you were looking for a serious answer here, but, after living in the suburbs a good part of my life, I moved to the country and live in a rural area near a small town. I love it and time does slow down. People are less rude, not on your rear bumper, people have their windows down and wave. Small town and rural living really does slow down.

I hear it only happens as light speed is approached.
Yes, speed or as stated, near a black hole.... (something so gravity dense not even light escapes its pull)

Fascinating really, also a Bose-Einstein condensate is fascinating as well. Thats why I think science is FAR to fascinating for it to be separate from God. The problem is, much like everything else humanity touches.... at this point it has been so corrupted and perverted by man its no longer a search for truth.... but a twisting of results to make the results fit the hypothesis... sad really.

Almost as sad as me not really being smart, I just like documentaries :D

I used to live in a house that existed in a warp in the space/time continuum. I know this because when I would go to the store I would be gone 15 minutes before my ex would call me wanting to know what was taking me so long, but when I was home and he was out, if he said "I'm on my way home" three hours would pass and he still wouldn't be home.
