So when you look at a girls profile what are things that would draw your interest and what are things that would turn you away?

Sooo you are going to try to woo guys via Facebook now?

What draws my interest: Pictures of her doing fun/interesting things. IF she uses her FB as a soapbox, stuff I agree with.
What turns me away: Pics of her with another guy.

I think it's sort of creepy if someone tries to get a date via trolling their FB friend's list for potential single friends. That doesn't necessarily mean they are a creep; it could be a sincere and genuine interest in another person. Ask your mutual friend about them before you friend them. If the guy is sincerely interested in you , decided to be bold, and he took a chance- it could be okay. If he does it often to other women.....or it's a regular thing for him, sorta desperate and creepy.

That's what I was thinking. I don't know what his intentions were. He was nice when we talked. I unfriended him and I'm not sure I did the right thing. But as far as dating him, if that's what his intentions were, I wasn't interested because he has a son.

I was contacted on facebook by a guy I don't know. He sent me a friend request. We have mutual friends. When I asked him if I know him he said no just thought you were very pretty. My question is if you were contacted by someone on facebook in this manner what would you do? Would you talk to them? If they were interested in dating would you date them? Would it bother you how they contacted you if they are interested in dating?

Total creeper. The justification for his initiative provides little merit. Pursuing a relationship based off someone's face exemplifies a serious priority/agenda issue.
