The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.
If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.
If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. Thank you so much Scotty I am having a cup of coffee right now to cut my appetite. That is wonderful that you have had success and that the weight is just falling off. That is wonderful. I have had weight gain because of the medication I am on. It has caused me to have a lot of weight gain. I have dieted and have lost some weight but am seeking to loose more.Gotcha Sister. I can eat anything I want, but I started not eating after 3pm and the weight is just falling off. I pray you have great success

I think your approach is a bad one. Sometimes snacks are necessary, and I don't think caffeine is a substitute for food. I maintain my weight and my first suggestion to anyone is: Stay away from sweets. They provide no nutritional benefit. And keep your fat intake moderate.I am going to stop eating snacks because I am trying to maintain my weight. This will not be easy for me. I will have tea or coffee instead of snacks. Please pray I am able to continue with not eating snacks and just having tea or coffee when I am hungry.
