We don't sacrifice the lamb for Passover today because there is no temple, but also because we believe in the true Passover lamb, Yeshua.

(CLV) 1Co 3:16
Are you not aware that you are a temple of God and the spirit of God is making its home in you?

David didn't keep Pesach at the Temple, nor did Moshe.

“And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to the LORD {Yahweh} throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance forever.” (Exodus 12:14)

Seven Proofs the “Last Supper” was not the Passover!

http://www.triumphpro.com/artos.pdf

The Lord's Supper with the disciples was on Thursday the 12th. They ate leavened bread, not unleavened bread or wafers. The Lord's supper took place two days before the Festival of Unleavened Bread.

Who is going to look and verify he is circumcised?
Galatians 2:4 (CJB)
Indeed, the question came up only because some men who pretended to
be brothers had been sneaked in — they came in surreptitiously to spy out
the freedom we have in the Messiah Yeshua, so that they might enslave us.

The spies were the circumcision group.

Gal 2:12 For before certain men came from James, he used to eat with the Gentiles. But when they arrived, he began to draw back and separate himself from the Gentiles because he was afraid of those who belonged to the circumcision group.

Things haven't changed over 2000 years as the MJ Only Debate is of concern with a Pesach Seder Service in a Messianic Synagogue with Jew and non-Jew members. The circumcision group were composed of Torah Observant [orthodox] Messianic Jews (they came from James) who believed the Gentile Christians should be circumcised; especially if they had any intention of participating in a Messianic Judaism Feast of Pesach and Unleavened Bread in Jerusalem.

How do you think these non-Jewish "Christians" might have celebrated the Feast of Pesach and Unleavened bread before and after 70 AD, if they didn't dare enter into the celebration at Jerusalem? The Temple area was probably well-guarded to keep any male Messianic Jews like Peter, James and John from entering the Temple grounds. They probably disguised themselves and got into the grounds anyway :)

I embrace the age old understanding that the Last Supper was a Seder meal, that Yeshua was crucified on Passover.

As to whether uncircumcised Gentile believers participated in observing Pesach in the early church, I'm going to remain silent, as my beliefs would violate the SOP.

The Lord's Supper of the New Covenant was two days before Passover.

(CLV) Lk 22:15
And He said to them, "With yearning I yearn to be eating this passover with you before My suffering.

(CLV) Lk 22:16
For I am saying to you that under no circumstances may I be eating of it till it may be fulfilled in the kingdom of God."

I embrace Yahshua's words.

The temple was not built in Davids Time, nor in Moses.

Deuteronomy 16:5-7 Thou mayest not sacrifice the passover within any of thy gates, which the LORD thy God giveth thee:
6 But at the place which the LORD thy God shall choose to place his name in, there thou shalt sacrifice the passover at even, at the going down of the sun, at the season that thou camest forth out of Egypt.
7 And thou shalt roast and eat [it] in the place which the LORD thy God shall choose: and thou shalt turn in the morning, and go unto thy tents.

Yeshua, as I have said numerous times before, could NOT have participated in a normal Pesakh seder, since the lambs had not even been killed yet. Also, in the Greek, the bread was called "arton". The "last supper" would have had elements of the seder, since it was very likely a Seudah HaMafseket, the meal before the fast. It was the custom to fast on the 14th (erev Pesakh), the fast of the firstborn or ta'anit bekhorot, from sunrise until the Pesakh seder. Yeshua would have done this on the cross.

Then what do we do with this from Luke?

7 Then came the day of unleavened bread, when the passover must be killed. 8And he sent Peter and John, saying, Go and prepare us the passover, that we may eat.

9
And they said unto him, Where wilt thou that we prepare? 10 And he said unto them, Behold, when ye are entered into the city, there shall a man meet you, bearing a pitcher of water; follow him into the house where he entereth in.
11
And ye shall say unto the goodman of the house, The Master saith unto thee, Where is the guestchamber, where I shall eat the passover with my disciples?
12
And he shall shew you a large upper room furnished: there make ready.
13 And they went, and found as he had said unto them: and they made ready the passover.

The Passover in killed during the day on the 14th, the meal was on the 14th (the evening before, yet still the 14th). It was a Pesakh Seudah...

The translation is faulty.
(Came yet the day) That means the day was coming.

The Lord's "Last Supper" was not a Passover Seder as celebrated by Judaism with the reading of the Pesach Haggadah and the arrangement of the ingredients on the plate. Doubt that Yeshua ate lamb as Temple tradition has it that the slaying of the lambs didn't begin until the sixth hour (noon), which was several hours later into Aviv/Nisan 14, and well past the time of the Lord's "Last Supper". It wasn't until the sixth hour (noon) of Aviv/Nisan 14 that the sky turned eerily dark as Yeshua was hung on the cross.

John 13:26 (KJV) ~ at the beginning of Aviv/Nisan 14
26 Jesus answered, He it is, to whom I shall give a sop, when I have dipped it. And when he had dipped the sop, he gave it to Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon.

John 13:27, 30 (KJV)
27 And after the sop Satan entered into him. Then said Jesus unto him, That thou doest, do quickly.
30 He then having received the sop went immediately out: and it was night.

A sop is a piece of bread or toast (it is not unleavened bread) that is drenched in liquid and then eaten. In medieval cuisine, sops were very common; they were served with broth, soup or wine, and then picked apart into smaller pieces to soak in the liquid. At elaborate feasts, bread was often pre-cut into finger-sized pieces rather than broken off by the diners themselves.

Ruth 2:14 (CJB)
When meal-time came, Bo‘az said to her, “Come here, have something to eat, and dip your piece of bread in the [olive oil and] vinegar.” She sat by the reapers, and they passed her some roasted grain. She ate till she was full, and she had some left over.
Ruth 2:14 (JPS 1985)
At mealtime, Boaz said to her, "Come over here and partake of the meal, and dip your morsel in the vinegar." So she sat down beside the reapers. He handed her roasted grain, and she ate her fill and had some left over.

The drink offered to Yeshua was a cheap Roman vinegar wine, which had a drug mixed in to dull the senses. It was the custom of the Romans to offer a man being crucified drugged wine so that he might more easily endure his cross. Yeshua refused the drugged wine so as to have a clear mind.

He did not drink because He took a nazarite vow at the "last supper". Matthew 26:29
