(CLV) 2Pt 3:15
And be deeming the patience of our Lord salvation, according as our beloved brother Paul also writes to you, according to the wisdom given to him,

(CLV) 2Pt 3:16
as also in all the epistles, speaking in them concerning these things, in which are some things hard to apprehend, which the unlearned and unstable are twisting, as the rest of the scriptures also, to their own destruction.

Shabbat shalom

Why twist Scripture , and why post it ?

Shabbat shalom,

The video exposes common twisting of Sha'uls words; then it puts Sha'uls words in proper context, according to the Torah, and Yahshua's example.

When Paul says, "as the rest of the scriptures also" which scripture(s) do you think he is first alluding to before he includes "the rest of the scriptures also." Is he first referring to those scriptures about Yeshua (e.g. Isaiah 53). One would think that baby Christians wouldn't be so taken-in (gullible) by the "unlearned and unstable."

Oh Really! Sad to say even Christians that know better aren't immune to the wiles of the enemy.

Most or many are taken-in (gullible? naive?) by "the unlearned and unstable"
so why would
anyone think that they wouldn't be ?

Who are the "Christians" who should know better ? The babies !? How should they know better, when they are babies !?

It wasn't Paul who said that. It was Peter. It should be noted that there was no scripture when that was written, other than the Tanakh, in whatever books, and verses for that matter, that Yahshua approved as scripture.

What i meant was that Peter was referring to Paul's letters when he says his letters (Paul's) are hard to understand ... more so than the letters of the other Apostles.

2 Peter 3:15-16
15 Bear in mind that our Lord’s patience means salvation, just as our dear brother Paul also wrote you with the wisdom that God gave him.
16 He writes the same way in all his letters, speaking in them of these matters. His letters contain some things that are hard to understand, which ignorant and unstable people distort, as they do the other Scriptures, to their own destruction.
It was Paul's letters that many of his Jewish brethren questioned. That is not to say that Peter didn't understood Paul's letters. In a round-about way Peter was deflecting any criticism of Judaism by saying, "Paul's letters are hard to understand (accept). It was likely near impossible for Peter's Jewish brethren in Jerusalem to accept Paul's interpretation of the New Covenant letters written to Christians (Jew and non-Jew).

Even today orthodox Jews either don't read Isaiah 53 or misinterpret it as referring to Israel instead of Yeshua. Even within Messianic Judaism today Paul's letters are questioned by some as more of his own commentary than inspired as ordained by G-d. However, Peter says, "brother Paul also wrote you with the wisdom that God gave him."
