God bless you and your father, A_Thinker. May God grant you full lives—healthy and productive lives—with many blessings. (Proverbs 9:11) We truly never know when God will call us home. Our family has prematurely lost numerous family and friends to accidents, disease, and other lifestyle choices. Fortunately, some of them were confident in their salvation, other's, perhaps, not so much. Lord have mercy on all of us. Amen.

Amen. Pray for the lost. Pray for the laborers of the harvest. Never miss an opportunity to share the gospel of Jesus Christ to a stranger, or to a neighbor, or to anyone whom you know is lost. Jesus is the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father but by the Son. Glory to God.

I have often thought that the longer I’m here on this planet the longer Christ has to form himself in me. That being said, scripture says “man’s years are 120 years.”
If that is correctly dividing the word, I want my 120 years! LOL peace and joy to all, may we all grow in Him.

God gave us life, that we may do His good labors, to bring glory and honor to Him, and to share communion with the LORD both on earth and in heaven. Believers (sinners/saved) have a deep longing to spend eternity with our Creator and Sing Praises To God. Hallelujah! Praise ye the LORD. Forever and ever, Amen.

Thank you so much for saying what I couldn't find the words for...

I have a deep longing to be dead too, so I can be in heaven and removed from all the pain and struggle.

However, as a christian, I'm supposed to be pro life, so why should I not want to be pro life for the life god gave me?

seems to me that a lot of Christianity is about being happy that we will be dead soon, and all these songs and longings about going up river, going home soon-yuk-it just seems to be promoting a death wish.

for my own protection, I just cannot be focusing on all of these death wish focused themes

"one day closer to heaven" just seems to be like counting down the days and not celebrating life!

what am I here for anyways, then?

focusing on death and such is very disturbing and troubling, especially to ppl who are struggling

I came to the table so to speak, with this baggage already on my heart.

Its something that has annoyed me for a very long time and has caused me to be turned off by the church

I dont want to argue here, so Idk where to put my issue...I will ask a mod for help
