Hi! I sometimes wake up feeling it and then some days I think I'm agnostic or something else, eventually I change my mind about this topic in the same day. I don't understand how can I change my opinion about religion so fast, is confusing, not so sure if it's emotional or what.

Did you ever feel like this?

Hi Sus_y! Welcome to CF!

Yes, I feel like that every Monday morning at 6 am ... ^_^

But seriously, I think many of us feel frustrated in our lives and would like for God to do... just...a little bit more...for us, maybe. Maybe? I think it's human to feel this way, and we can read Ecclesiastes to get a taste from the Bible of this kind of 'existential angst,' or 'daily funk.' So, don't despair. You're not the only one who is wrestling the "bull" by the horns. We all have to in various ways.

Peace,

What do feelings have to do with anything? You are or you are not....Today I am in one hellish rage, not even knowing why...That does not change the fact that I belong to Jesus one whit.. Feeling are irrelevant to life...That goes with "The heart of man is deceitfully wicked..."

Lol, The Monday morning "thing" haha! Oh... Interesting, I know some Christian that never doubt of God existence and things like that, I thought that was the usual. I wish I could just keep my mind in one side only, but for some odd reasons I kept doubting.

It is okay if sometimes you are unsure of Christianity. The Lord still loves you and will still be with you.

... occasionally there are a few Christians who do seem to have an extra capacity to swat away their doubts, but I've come across and met very, very few of these fine folks. More often than not, what I've found is that a number of Christians are saavy people and know better than to share (or be fully honest) about what they "really" feel or think as they attempt to walk their Christian life. So, Sus_y, maybe just keep this in mind. Even the most resolute Christian will holler when his or her big toe is stomped on hard enough...and ask, "Why?"

Peace,

Somewhat. I dont think I changed my mind that frequently, but I was unsettled. That is what I suspect your situation amounts to. You have not yet become committed to any particular POV, but at some time you will.

Maybe you just don't have a very good grasp on what your faith is. I know that mine has grown exponentially since I got a deeper understanding; I never felt back-and-forth about it, but I never did anything with it, either. I said I was Catholic, but didn't do anything with my meager faith. See if you can get "plugged in" with groups at your church. One of the things that really helped me was when a small group was having weekly sessions watching "The Bible Timeline", a DVD series explaining the narrative story that runs through the entire Bible.
Talk to people, try things out; posting on here was definitely a good move, I pray that you'll get good guidance.

I wish I could just be or not be, it's simpler. You wake up and you are, then at night you are, still, and so... When I said "emotional" I was referring -maybe in a wrong way- to my personality, my mind, my mental sanity, moods etc... Feelings aren't irrelevant to me at least, they are part of my existence and somewhat they direct the way I react, if I feel insecure I react, if I feel passionate to something I'll react to and so on... But I'm glad that you know who you are.

It is okay if sometimes you are unsure of Christianity. The Lord still loves you and will still be with you.
Aww, thanks! :tongueout:

I'm plugging in around (the forum lol) :hushed:, I'm not going to a church for several reasons or excuses?

Perhaps the parable in Matthew 13:1-23 will help.

What's a POV? :worried:
"Point of View." If pressed, I would probably say that Christianity is not just a POV. However, you also mentioned agnosticism, which is a POV rather than a faith, so I just used the term that seemed easiest.

My point was that you are uncertain now but that will probably change in time. However, I could add that one way to help yourself reach that point is to seriously study the various belief systems.

Oh, thank you, I'm not English speaker so I wasn't familiar with that acronym. :)

Can you change your faith selection on this site?
I'm not sure, but maybe if you go to the Member's Center on the forum page and then to Supervisor's Help Desk, you can ask them to do that for you.

Wow! complicated... well at least here seems like I cannot change my mind :O, which is I find kind of funny.
Complicated? I'd suggest you go to the forum I suggested and start a thread asking to change your faith selection. I did that once myself and they did it for me immediately.

But maybe I want to change it back eventually and then I'll be annoying, I mean more, if I am already lol.

You aren't annoying, but they would probably wish you didn't change your selection with any regularity.
