When Jesus told the woman caught in the act of adultery, was it due to the "timing" of saying such a thing, I mean he did not say this to all the other sinners, a few, i think, but not all...?

This woman thought she was going to die, knew she was desperate enough to risk death to get into this sin in the first place, and now, she thought she was for sure going to die, then Jesus comes along, I wonder if the sun was at his back, and he seemed to kinda shine for her in that moment, anyway, This woman thought she was going to die, Jesus saves and forgives her, the only one who did have the right to throw a stone at her, anyway...

This had to have been a very "profound" experience for her in her life I think, and I'm wondering if Jesus said to her "go and sin no more" because that was the right moment or timing...?

Does God work that way in our lives sometimes, if this is even true, that is (disclaimer on this one)...

God Bless!

He said, "Go and sin no more" was a deliberate instruction to her so that she would not be caught in a similar situation in the future. He forgave her on the expectation she would give up her adulterous relationship and live a lawful and godly life. He told a man whom he healed of lameness, "Go and sin no more lest a worst thing come upon you". Jesus expected repentance to be condition for forgiveness.

This is a lesson for us. Professing Christianity and joining a church without repenting of all sin - going from loving it to hating it, and strongly wanting to live the best holy life possible, is a sham, and a hypocrisy. A true conversion to Christ must have repentance as well, and the evidence of a true conversion is the desire for holiness. Forgiveness doesn't come cheap. It cost the Father His Son, and Jesus His standing with the Father for the first time in eternity as He died on the cross. The physical suffering he endured was minor compared to the separation between His Father and Him. He never cried out because of the pain and suffering He endured, but when the Father turned His back on Him, He cried out, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken Me?" This was the most unexpected and traumatic experience that Jesus had for all eternity and would never experience again. That's how much forgiveness cost the Father and the Son. This is why God hates cheap decisions and religion that does not include repentance and holiness.

So when Jesus told those ones, "Go and sin no more", He was serious. The writer to the Hebrews says that the person who has tasted conversion to Christ and the good things of God, and then turning back to the world, they are treading the atonement of Christ underfoot, and because of that, there is no further sacrifice for them, only a fearful expectation of judgment to come. Jesus said that once putting the hand to the plow and looking back makes a person unfit for the kingdom of God. Therefore if a person professes Christianity, receives what he believes is forgiveness, and then continues to hold on to his favourite sins, there is no genuine conversion and the person remains dead in his sins.

I've just been thinking about time, and timing, and events a lot lately, and how that ties into repentance, sometimes people do not learn the first time they are disciplined, it takes a little more with some... Just time and timing and events and I guess you could the evolution of a person with sin, and their life, "points" where they have repented... And what led to that, and what is it like after...?

Also, what about doing away with some sins, and not others, or simply just seeing no way to do it all... or, conquering one kind of sin at a time in ones life, with some points of repentance along the way, to where they are where they are now...? And how some still do not reckon themselves to have acquired or attained to, "full" repentance yet...? Cause the mark is perfection...?

This sin had shamed that woman for so long, and Jesus took that away from her, with perfect timing, i must say...

God Bless!
God is omnipresent, if one hears Him, then he can be driven to Church any time and any place. There is God's rules: you must confess the sins in the Church.

.
Bear in mind that at that time, Judea/Israel was ruled by Rome and adultery was not a crime under Roman Law but was a sin under Moses Law or Jewish Law = Jesus Christ would have broken Roman Law if He had stoned the Jewish adulteress to death.
... At that time, the Pharisees wanted to test and trap Jesus, and cause Him to be arrested by the Roman rulers.

Similarly, in USA today, if US Christians or Jews go and kill adulterers or homosexuals or idolaters, they will be charged with murder under US Law.

Confess every sinful temptation to the church, everyone, that could be disasterous...

Or every committed sin...?

And, do you have to confess to the church, or to the Lord in private...? Also, who is the church...?

God Bless![/QUOTE]

Possibly, He is not quoted for every time He has told someone to stop sinning.

Also, He in indirect ways is telling people not to sin > for example when the apostles were fighting among themselves about who was the greatest. He told them what could help them do better, even though He is not quoted to actually say, "Stop this sinning."

He did say how Gentile leaders lord it over their subjects; and He says this shall not be so among you. So, here is an example where He says not to do that, but He does not actually say "Sin no more in this way."
