Believer is pretty general.
Whosoever is born of God, ie a son of God, is very specific, and can not sin. 1 John 3:9.

You do recall, Jesus was called, A Son of God, and could not sin. Yes?

When God reconciles us to Him, we become forgiven of our sins, our sins covered with His Light, remembered no more, and forward can sin no more, By His Power within us.

God Bless,
SBC

And so you never fail, not even slightly, in perfect obedience and imitation of God? In your thoughts, words, feelings, or actions you perfectly--by your own efforts--complete and fulfill God's Holy Law in which He says, "Love the Lord your God with all your strength, with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all you mind; and love your neighbor as yourself"?

When someone asks of you, you never deny it to them? For Christ commands us that if someone asks for our coat we should give them our shirt as well.

When someone hates you or hurts you, you love them perfectly, having nothing but compassion toward them; never bearing a grudge, never thinking ill thoughts or having ill feelings toward them? You perfectly love your enemy as you would your own brother, offering them food and drink as is commanded of you?

Our God and King has told us that if we so much as have anger in our hearts against another we have violated the command against murder. If we have so much as lusted after another person we have violated the command against adultery.

He has told us, "You have heard it said, an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth, but I tell you that if someone strikes you on the right cheek to turn and offer the other as well."

So you uphold the Law of God by your own efforts with the same perfection as Christ?

Or do you fail on all these point, but claim it is not sin because you are forgiven. So that when you have failed to uphold the Law you say "It is okay, I am forgiven" and you do not repent, tremble, and have remorse for what you have done; when you have said ill things to your neighbor you say "I am forgiven" but you do not go to your neighbor to make amends as Christ commands you when He says, "If you are offering a gift to the altar and you remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift at the front of the altar and go be reconciled with your brother first"

1 Cor 6:11 (applicable to me)

I am washed, sanctified, justified "IN" the Name of Lord Jesus, and "BY" the
Spirit of my God.

Heb 10:14 (applicable to me)

For by one offering HE HATH perfected
For ever them (me) that ARE SANCTIFIED.

You seem to suggest I must be washed, sanctified, justified....."IN" your name....
"BY" your spirit.

You seem to suggest I must be perfected...
BY you., according TO YOU.

I did not claim to:
To SIN AGAINST YOU.
To ASK YOU TO FORGIVE MY SINS.
To BELIEVE IN YOU.
To BE FAITHFUL TO YOU.
To ACCEPT ANYTHING FROM YOU.

Why do you somehow think I have ANY thought whatsoever of what YOU THINK is PERFECTED? Because, I do not.

My Lord My God, SANCTIFIED me.
My Lord My God, PERFECTED me.
My Lord My God, KEEPS me, that I cannot sin

1 John 3: 9 (applies to me)

CANNOT SIN, Because I am born of God.

TRUST God, His Word IS TRUE.

In order to repent from sin, we need to first know what sin is

Sin is transgression of the law(Torah)

We are called to turn from breaking God's commandments

You can find God's commandments in the Torah (first 5 books of the Bible)

Thank you.
I am not a Hebrew or Jew, to which the Law was given.

The wrath of God was announced to a sinful world. With light comes accountability "Justice to the nations" but also hope (good news) for those who repent and call on the Lord. A balanced message.

Acts 17 The unknown god is the One true God and Pauls sermon
In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent. 31For he has set a day when he will judge the world with justice by the man he has appointed. He has given proof of this to everyone by raising him from the dead.”

Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with mena 10nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. 11And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

The message of salvation is the one and same for all nations.
Peter replied, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Thanks for the sermon ~
But the question was, what sins does a Gentile ask the Lord to forgive.

In the OT, the word is teshuvah. In the NT it is metanoia. Metanoia means to change your mind, and teshuvah means to turn around and go back. So biblical repentance is a decision to think differently and to change one's actions.

So repentance to you means, to change your mind?

What specifically did you change your MIND about?

There were Gentiles amongst the Israelites at Mount Sinai & throughout the wilderness, and throughout history. Gentiles who dwell amongst and are a part of God's people are held to the same standard.

We are joined to God's nation, Israel, through the Messiah. Paul writes about this in Ephesians

The Torah(law) was given to Israel to be an example to the Gentiles and to show the world how to live.

The Messiah was obedient to God's commands, and we are called to live like him. That, to me, would mean we should do the same, whether we were born as a Gentile or an Israelite

Agree Gentiles have historically lived among Jews.

Disagree Gentiles were held to the same standard.
They were not invited or allowed to enter the Temple and HEAR the Word of God.

Gentiles were ALLOWED to conduct business with Jews...Jews discouraged to intermarry....and Gentiles were ALLOWED to mingle and live among the Jews.........so long as they DID NOT SPEAK and teach and encourage Jews to BE AGAINST God.

Sin is still sin with the light of the gospel message comes accountability.
"Justice to the nations" God was no longer willing to overlook the sin and ignorance of many false Gods as He did in the past. His salvation is sent to all nations a balanced message of Hope and wrath for the ungodly. The choice is mans to make what path they will continue on. 9 of the 10 commandments are still valid as Jesus is clearly not enforcing the sabbath which had to do with an absence of all work as even meals had to be prepared in advance. If one keeps Jesus command to love one another as he has loved they are in fulfillment of all the commandments. It was also expressly given to abstain from sexual
immorality.

“Don’t you see that whatever enters the mouth goes into the stomach and then out of the body? 18But the things that come out of a person’s mouth come from the heart, and these defile them. 19For out of the heart come evil thoughts—murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander. 20These are what defile a person; but eating with unwashed hands does not defile them.”

The father about Jesus
"Here is my servant, whom I uphold, my chosen one in whom I delight; I will put my Spirit on him, and he will bring justice to the nations.

Thank you for your commentary.

Sin is Sin....is not an answer to What SIN, a gentile ask the Lord to forgive.

If I ask you what is Man and your answer is
Man is Man....you have not answered the question.

God Bless,
SBC

Not just change of mind. Change of actions and lifestyle as well.

I am not here to make confession of sins past or present.

Okay, you have given me the definition of repentance is...
A Change of mind, actions, lifestyle.
Correct?

I would say repentance is being sorry/remorseful for having sinned.

But then, the question of What a Gentiles sin IS, has not yet been answered.
So being remorseful, when not knowing for WHAT, is sort of getting ahead of the subject.

I never asked you to confess anything to me.

It appears, Gentiles are appreantly making confessions, but they do not know FOR WHAT.

So, SIN, (to you) is NOT DOING WORKS, that Glorify God?
Are you being intentionally obtuse?

Sin can be TRYING to do God's works and failing (missing the mark)
It can be even doing the right thing for the wrong reason.
And it can be intentionally violating God's revealed will.

The trick sometimes is asking the Holy Spirit to reveal to you what the actual sin is. Then you repent from THAT.

Dr Prince addresses that as to why it is not so, according to the usage of the NT Greek.

You asked what I have repented of.
Sounds like a confession to me.

I asked what is a Gentiles SIN.

You said not doing works that glorify God.

I disagree with you.

Jews were taught VIA THEIR LAWS,
Which WORKS Glorify God.
And
Which WORKS "DO NOT" Glorify God.

It is a SIN unto a Hebrew...
It is a SIN unto a Jews...
According to THEIR LAW, to DO WORKS, that DO NOT Glorify God.

I am not a Hebrew.
I am not a Jew.
I was NOT given a LAW, that calls WORKS, {that do not Glorify God,} A SIN.

I am a Gentile, taught BY the Word of God, (JESUS) and the Jewish Messiah (CHRIST) and His Jewish Disciples....

My sin against God, was NOT BELIEVING IN GOD.

Scripturral TEACHINGS is for an individual to DECIDE "IF they DO BELIEVE IN THEIR HEART", IN the Father God, IN His Word, His Truth, His Son, (ie Jesus), that he appeared on earth in the likeness as a man, and was killed and rose up in life, By the Spirit of God, and that He is the Christ, the Power of God, the Spirit of God, the Seed of God, the Savior of God, the Redeemer of God, God Himself, who purposed in Himself, to internally CHANGE ANY MAN, who confess their Belief, from their Heart, TO TRUST IN HIM, TO HIM, OF HIM.

I remedied MY DISBELIEF, MY SIN AGAINST GOD, with MY OWN CONFESSION, TO HIM, OF my heartfelt belief.

I TRUST, He is faithful, and what He said He WOULD DO, He has DONE. Period.

That has ZERO to do with WORKS.

Scripture teaches WORKS that Glorify God, ARE rewarded BY God.

Scripture teaches WORKS that DO NOT GLORIFY God, are works, NOT rewarded by God.

That had ZERO to do with my confession to God, of Heartfelt Belief TO God, IN God.

Works had ZERO to do with His forgiveness, and His faithfulness to DO within me, what Scripture teaches He would do.

Works that do not Glorify God, are not a SIN, unless you are a Hebrew, a Jew or another person who subjects themselves to the Law of the Hebrews or Jews.

I did not nor do subject myself the Law, that Jesus fulfilled.

I subjected myself to Christ the Lord Jesus...
By and Through the Mercies and Grace of God.....

Not by and through the Law of the Hebrews and Jews.

But thanks for sharing what SIN the Lord forgave you for.

For me, my sin was Disbelief.
For you, your sin was Works.

We have a totally different understanding, of
What Scripture UNDER GRACE teaches.

God Bless,
SBC

Are you being intentionally obtuse?

Do you think asking specific questions is being OBTUSE?

Do you think trying to verify an others specific answer is being OBTUSE?

I don't believe EVERYONE Believes the SAME THINGS IN Scripture, let alone believes the SAME THING of what words mean.

Sin can be TRYING to do God's works and failing (missing the mark)
It can be even doing the right thing for the wrong reason.
And it can be intentionally violating God's revealed will.

And what exactly teaches you those ARE SINS?

The trick sometimes is asking the Holy Spirit to reveal to you what the actual sin is. Then you repent from THAT.

I believe there are NO TRICKS, when the Holy Spirit INDWELLS in a person.
I believe HIS POWER KEEPS a man from EVER AGAIN SINNING.

So perhaps, you could reveal, WHAT has taught you, What YOU DO, TRY to DO and fail, or What YOU DO NOT DO , is a SIN.

Hebrews? Jews? Hebrew Law? Jewish Law?
Civil Laws? Christian Pastors? What is the basis, for your claims ?

God Bless,

"turn away" away from something?

And Why would one "turn away", from something?

The new covenant is with the house of Israel & Judah, but you don't exclude yourself from it, right?

Not being a Jew or a hebrew is no excuse. You're either a part of God's people or you're not.

We know what sin is by reading the law. Paul even wrote about this to the Romans... he would not have known that coveting is a sin except for the commandment "thou shall not covet". Same for the other commandments.
