This is such an excellent read on our current political nightmare regarding lost and other documents that I just had to share:

The Sinking of the FBI

This is by a highly qualified and experienced security expert with time in both the public and private sector. For me, the key quote regarding why this is so significant:

As I laid out in detail in a recent interview for Judicial Watch, discussing the role of Fusion GPS, its interactions with the FBI, and Fusion founder Glenn Simpson's testimony before a Senate committee, the evidence is rapidly emerging that senior officials in our government, most likely up to and including then-president of the United States Barack Obama, worked in concert to illicitly, and possibly criminally, derail the candidacy of the opposition party's presidential candidate using fabricated information (or, as former FBI director James Comey described it, "salacious and unverified") obtained by a private investigations firm from an enemy of the United States: Russia.

Even worse, once that effort to derail that candidacy failed and that candidate, Donald Trump, was elected, those same individuals used the same manufactured evidence as the basis to launch an investigation, employing the vast authority and technical resources of the United States government, whose ultimate goal, I believe, is to impeach and remove that duly elected president.

That, ladies and gentlemen, is a coup d'état.

I've been reading thrillers by WEB Griffin. And I don't see much difference between what read in the thrillers and what I see in the news.

Well, what you guys do in the United States is really up to you guys. I'm just an observer/ thriller novel reader up here in Canada.

PS: There's a great paperback exchange bookstore on McCowan in Toronto.

I have taken this stuff so seriously that in 2008, two weeks before Obama's win of the presidency, I purchased a small farm in central Kentucky. I moved there from my 46 year home, Seattle, in 2011. It was the closest I could get to the positives of ex-patriating without actually leaving the country.

Didn't Bob Woodward write extensively about this period also? He's usually kind of placid and nasal and gently ironic; but he seemed to do a hatchet job from 2009.

Can you figure why Mr Comey was fired?

From up here it's sometimes a bit difficult to work out what's happening behind the headlines.

I was just thinking about Efrem Zimbalist Jr. and watching the FBI on TV. Portrayed as heroes, and now this comparison to the sinking of the Titantic! What a great story about a despicable situation. So interesting, and so sad that our FBI and associates (in regards to those in corruption) have fallen. We should keep in mind there are good cops/agents and bad cops/agents... and then there are the innocent (and guilty?) family members. So sad.
Mercy and justice. Will they find their place? Will the guilty not only be charged, but convicted and sentenced? Will there be any suicides taking place? They have brought it on themselves. They have ignored the warnings of God, the application of Numbers 32:23.
