with love we have an eternity to know many many many things!

i've seen how many siblings here know much about the scriptures but they "fight" with, not showing kindness enough love enough

I saw the wonderful 1 Cor 13 above, and here is something to add, from chapter 8 --

"...We know that “We all possess knowledge.”

But knowledge puffs up while love builds up.

2 Those who think they know something do not yet know as they ought to know.

3 But whoever loves God is known by God."

I think 1 Corinthians 13 addresses this issue.

It was the woman at the tree who thought she lacked in knowledge and desired more...when God had already saw what He had made and it was very good. She reasoned with a serpent and ate of it...perception is everything...when we perceive lack, we seek to add to our stature by thought which is the same as eating of it...

To love as HE loves us all, impartially. He fills all in all whether we can 'see' it or not. Even Jesus Christ asked His Father to forgive those who crucified Him because "they know not what they do", though they were literally fulfilling The Father's will just the same...

To love others as we love our self...do unto others as you would have them do unto you...leads us to forsaking of our own soul. For it is not about the ability of others to return it (expecting to receive in return/gain...love for love, deserving of it), but to freely give it...there is a vast distinction between loving and to be love...

With God all things are possible...

It is a teaching in many corners of the evangelical Christian church today that there is some sort of conflict between love and doctrine. Now, Paul warns that "knowledge puffs up but love edifies" (1 Cor. 8:1), but Christian believers must love according to knowledge, that is, the knowledge of God's truth, spiritual principles and wisdom found in His word. Paul writes of the Jews who had a zeal for God but not according to knowledge (Ro. 10:2, 3). For all of their zeal, they had got it wrong concerning God and what He wanted. So, too, with those who lay aside knowledge of the doctrines of the Christian faith in order to be more loving. There is no such thing as godly love that is divorced from the doctrines of God. Real godly love is characterized by careful fidelity to the truth of God communicated to us in the doctrines of the faith. When Christians set aside biblical doctrine and try to "love" each other and the lost, their love quickly becomes sentimental, riddled with falsehood, and incredibly fleshly. Love, Paul writes, "rejoices in the truth" (1 Cor. 13:6). And the apostle John commands believers,

1 John 3:18
18 My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth.

Where do we find God's truth? In the doctrines of the Christian faith derived from Scripture. I don't, then, think it is a good idea to set love and doctrine at odds with each other or to set one above the other. Instead, we ought to recognize that they are necessary parts of each other.

There should be a balance between knowledge and love.

If anyone keenly observes will notice, people commit evil out of ignorance. Ignorance is actually the root of all evil.

Evil people will promote ignorance instead of the truth.

Ignorance is actually the root of all evil.

That would be 1 Timewerx 6:10.

I prefer 1 Timothy 6:10

For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evils. It is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pangs.

I suppose it's kind of ironic that the word "love" was used in this passage to describe the root of all evils. Semantics can employ a logic that takes us down all kinds of rabbit holes if we let it, but I digress....

It's possible to have knowledge without love, but is it possible to have love without knowledge?

A baby may instinctively love its parents, but will it automatically know how to love its neighbor when it grows up? I think knowledge of love makes love possible, or at least helps it along.

^_^^_^

1 Timothy 6:10 also agrees with me concerning ignorance being the root of all evil. :)

The reason people love money is because of ignorance of the fundamental concept of accummulation of wealth / generating profit. The primal concept of generating wealth in our corrupt world goes against the very nature of God -- exploiting the weak and is hypocritical at best. God originally intended for things to be available freely, not for a cost. It was sin that brought this corruption to the world. This is why Jesus explained in Luke 16:13 if you love money, you will hate God and vice versa.

And since money is probably the most valuable resource on Earth and basically the world runs on it, money is therefore also a huge part in the proliferation of evil / corruption of our world.

I am simply supplementing 1 Timothy 6:10. People do things for a reason. People love money for a reason. And love of money is the result of ignorance of the fundamental nature of money.

Dear gustavchristian. What is more valuable? Love every time. In Matthew 22: 35-40: Jesus tells us> The first and great Commandment is: Love God with all thy hearts, with all thy souls, and with all thy minds. The second is like it: love thy neighbour as thyself. Love is very catching, and love will always be first. God is Love, and God wants loving men and women. The Bible tells us: give up all selfish thoughts and wishes, start loving God and loving your neighbour. Love will always be victorious, and Satan and his followers will run away from all love and compassion. The Bible tells us: Love God and love each other, life will be wonderful, and love will always be the victor. Jesus died for us, and now Jesus lives for us. Jesus is the Way, let us follow Jesus and be the children which God wants. Love is above all else, and love will always the winner. Jesus is the Way, and Jesus will us always lead alright. Why not try it? Let us Love God and follow Jesus. That is the way for us. I say this with love, gustavchristian. Greetings from Emmy, your sister in Christ.

Many people mistake rebuke for being unloving.

It is not loving to let people pervert Scripture, nor is it loving to stand by and watch people condemn themselves through bad theology or actions that others are too scared to call out as being wrong.

Jesus quoted the scriptures demonstrating an extensive knowledge of them.

How one uses the Bible is important, for it has been used for both good and evil. God is not the book. Some have learned to do good after reading the Bible, others read the Bible and continued in sin.

Giving a coat to a poor believer may be of greater value than using scriptures to condemn the innocent. Judas Iscariot condemned Jesus claiming he did not care for the poor. Jesus taught, healed and fed a multitude.

Being an honest witness requires more than reading the scriptures alone. If I have not knowledge of a thing, I should not testify about it. God desires better than guess work.

Zacchaeus was a chief tax collector but He had a change of heart and repented and called Jesus "Lord". Likewise the women at the well was married 5 times and the man she was living with wasn't her husband yet Jesus offered her living water.
The women caught in adultery was forgiven and told to leave her life of sin.
As is written the law came by Moses but grace and truth came by Jesus. The law is without mercy unlike Jesus who has compassion for peoples well being. Anytime Jesus rebuked it wasn't to strike back but for their "good" as in repent and live. Or if you keep doing the things you are doing how will you escape judgment.

But you need to know your scripture. I have noticed after I started studying more and more scripture that some of the teachings posted on youtube are highly deceptive. How else can you protect yourself from being deceived? Let no man steal your crown. You need to stop being lazy and study the Word of God. Besides this a site not to please everyone but to speak the truth and the truth sometimes hurts.

Love is the motivator. Knowledge is the means of getting there. Love without knowledge makes a person unsuccessful at hitting the right target. Knowledge without love makes a person successful at hitting the wrong one.

Paul tells us that love is most important but it comes down to how one attains that love. When we are brought close to God and begin to believe and are baptized, we receive God's Spirit. From that point it comes down to what we allow that Spirit to do within us. We all have our own spirit which needs to be humbled so that God's Spirit can take over.

That Spirit will teach us what love truly is if we allow it. Learning is knowledge and we learn just how much our Father in heaven loves us and how he desires us to share that love with those around us. So we can't separate knowledge from love or any gift of the Spirit.

The important thing is if that knowledge comes from God or the world.
