The world just seems to take and take

I don't know if I can even afford two cents, here.

I have spent ages looking at the argument that man does not need to take his beginning seriously (but incredulously can depend on Evolution, wherever that starts) and I came to the conclusion: that if I personalize my Evolution, so that it looks like I am genuinely committed to an outcome that is unique,, I can justify faith in Evolution.

The problem is, no sooner did I do this, when the Devil made himself more at home in my presence and I am still feeling vulnerable, about him walking in (I have decided not to confront the Devil, is the problem) - the fundamental problem being "the Devil can't be trusted"!

So who is the fool here? God, because His servants don't know how to argue Evolution away or the Devil, because the servants of God know where they stand and aren't short of an answer to the problems sin, the Devil and evil create.

I would like to think people will say "Hey, your Evolution is quite unique and well thought out, you don't cheat your neighbour or argue with God about your obedience one way or the other - I hope I'm ready for the End you are", but as I understand it: people are in no way that deep.

I would have my faith operated on and removed, if by holding it in their hands they would believe - but it is precisely at that point, that they have the least faith (which has to be perfected not simply observed - let the reader note and note again).

See, why I would be down in the dumps about this?

Thanks for whatever you hear the Holy Spirit saying, it means a lot to me (that you trust Him, if nothing else).

That's basically it: fewer stripes.

Fewer stripes on the assumption that I admit confusion about Evolution.

The problem being, the other alternative: is admitting almost no understanding, not even of Evolution.

You are right to question my foundation, a little: I guess the difference between me and the Lord is that the Lord would assert that monkeys or apes or what have you, in principle rely on peace - that the Lord gives them peace, peace which has nothing to do with Evolution. I myself am fairly speechless - I wouldn't know where apes get their peace at all.

Ok, so what I have done is I have ruled out that Apes have mindfully desired to be possessed with the Spirit of Evolution and decided that it is likely a man that has through faith in Evolution led to the point where we no longer have a defence before God - having called a man with faith in Evolution "friend" - as we were told, not to cast our pearls before swine,, but having done so anyway - no longer caring what manner of friend men are or are supposed to be.

In a word, Evolution to my mind makes men enemies of God.

Actually, I think you are right, I am aware of the necessity of having my faith challenged and I am carefully watching that I not lose ground to the Devil - I shouldn't feel condemned for this.

What the Devil wants to say is "you are now enemies of God as we are or were" - but he can't back that up scripturally (Evolution is not scripture).

I guess the question for me is, am I kidding myself if I think that some form of Evolution - if not the current kind - will still follow on, taking my faith as foundation? I have no idea what that would mean or entail or even what gain, Evolutionists would see in it.

(I just don't want my foundation tested, while I am trying to commit to the will of God, as you might suppose (I suppose) He could lead me through, rebuffing the Devil in the same breath!)
