Then why are you still posting? You offer nothing in the way of Biblical discourse, only small comments of a contentious spirit.Yes I find his post based on Scripture. Dialogue is vain here.
Sorry because you're looking for specific words. I truly feel very sorry for people who must be told exactly what to do. God gave us a mind. Besides you reject any Scripture that indicates the covenant containing the sabbath requirement is replaced with one that doesn't contain such a requirement. Then why are you still posting? Give us one verse where Jesus said to disregard the 4th Commandment.... I'm guessing you won't because you can't.
Don't feel sorry for me, provide me with the scripture, just one, that Jesus changed the Sanctity and Holiness of the 7th day Sabbath and that it is no longer a part of the Decalogue.Sorry because you're looking for specific words. Did Christ change the Holy day?
Yes Jesus did.
Yes, I believe we aren't supposed to notice your false gospel of law for salvation. You've been provided the proper Scripture passages over and over about the change of covenants. Those passages totally refute what post.
I'm asking you why you disregard the7th day Sabbath and under whose authority do you do this?
This thread is a little nasty in my opinion.
Are you not quoting any scripture for that extreme speculation because you think doctrine should be based on "say so"? or should we just "quote you" as the proof for such speculation having something to back it up??
In other words "were we simply not supposed to notice" that the claim "yes Jesus did" has no text??
Again given the chance to support your false claim with proof/evidence you provide nothing but "more vitriol" and emotionalism???
How is that supposed to work??
Here's my position on you and the matter - you refuse anything anyone says that doesn't agree with you. That being true there is really no need to post anyThen why are you still posting? You offer nothing in the way of Biblical discourse, only small comments of a contentious spirit.

Have you turned blue yet? I read in the forums you've been quoted the Scripture and refuse to believe. People of God on the forum have informed you.Don't feel sorry for me, provide me with the scripture, just one, that Jesus changed the Sanctity and Holiness of the 7th day Sabbath and that it is no longer a part of the Decalogue.
I'll be waiting.... but not holding my breath
Not was...IS. And it should still be venerated, revered and obeyed! Sabbath transgressors are hard up agaisnt a thus saith the Lord but stand on the statements of mere men...
A murderer would not have the arrogance to declare that he is no longer under the Law, yet hubris reigns supreme among "God's people".
If the contention of 1st day worship is to be believed, why don't we see these things in the Bible? The apostles are always recorded as teaching on the Sabbath, both to Jews and Gentiles. There is no evidence of the apostles breaking the Commandment to keep the Sabbath Holy.
Btw, breaking bread on the 1st day does not convey worship or holiness. Acts 2:46 shows this premise to be false.
Acts 2:46
And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,
I think desperate, emotionalism, are words reserved for a sect of Christians
Your little doomsday group has nothing. Then a twice fooled member says.. hey.. Christians go to Church on Sunday, but Saturday is the Sabbath
. That Saturday is the Sabbath has nothing to do with the fact that Christ rose on the first day
But you say over and over, Saturday is the Sabbath.
Yeah, totally.
A person can't violate something they aren't subject to.
Haven't you been asked what "faith in Jesus" is? What you post is nothing more than half truths twisting Scripture trying to draw people (suckers) into your religion of works for salvation.

No I'm not forgetting anything. Gentiles weren't permitted in the Temple.
No Acts 2:46 doesn't show me making a false premise. You can't fall out of a window while eating.
The above verse is about Jewish Christians who were the first Christians. You expect a change of centuries to happen like flipping a light switch.
Did Christ change the Holy day? No... follow Christ or follow self. He will judge who are His sheep.
Did Christ change the Holy day?
Yes Jesus did.

Especially the Cretans. The only others would have been in the gates of a law abiding Israeli. The Sabbath Day: Saturday or Sunday?
Its amazing we are up to 33 pages in regards to this. The Sabbath will ALWAYS be Saturday, as it was a command from God and written on tablet stones with his own fingers! It was a day of rest, so all the bickering of Jesus rising on Sunday still doesnt take away , that it is a day or rest. Im pretty sure the gentile back then rested from working Saturdays and some probably worshiped on the 1st day of the week.
Then why is it the issue of worship on the sabbath is used to prove obligations of the law have been met?But the main purpose of the Sabbath is that its a day of rest, having a church service isnt the top priority of that command. Granted, if its said to keep the day holy or hold a holy convocation, a service on that day would make sense.
No wonder so many non Christians don't like the 4th commandment of law. I don't live in an apartment in the city. I'm never bored because there isn't something that needs immediate attention. But butchering Isaiah 56 out of context to say you cant to anything of pleasure on the Sabbath goes overboard, as the only Sabbath in the bible where you were commanded to conflict you soul was the day of atonement, so when it says turn from your own pleasure ,it is referring to the Day of Atonement NOT the weekly Sabbath, as there is no where in the Torah that says you are not allowed to do anything of pleasure on the Sabbath.
The sabbath is over at dusk. You've got no valid argument. To address the many verse used out of context:
Acts 20:7 is showing they met right after the Sabbath ended and Paul spoke to them until midnight, this was not a Sunday morning service they were holding. It was the 1st day of the week, but in the same manner of me holding a service at 12:01am and speaking to people until 6am.
No the subject is judging another with details about 2 major contentions. Verse 5 says nothing about food. That means it also doesn't connect food with the sabbath or any other holy day of the law.Romans 14 is about fasting and choosing which days to fast and not judging each other or disputing too much over it.
Neither is it judging Christians for not keeping the rites of the sabbath.Col 2:16 is about not judging the believers then who were keeping the commandments in that pagan nation, not saying not let anyone judge you for breaking them.
Does your church receive money during church services? What day is that? Why should the Corinthian Church require its adherents to bring money only on days they don't meet for worship?1 Cor 16:2, Paul was taking up a collection because there was a famine in Jerusalem, not because Sunday morning service was the new tradition and they generally didnt conduct business on the Sabbath anyways, so he wouldnt have been going to place to place to take up money.
Where does the Bible say anything about the sabbath during those 40 days? Remember the importance of the sabbath.Jesus was still on the earth for 40 days, so since many claim they are following Jesus teachings and examples let pose some examples.
Mute point. There's no mention of the all important day during that period of time. In fact the only day pointed to is the first day of the week - Sunday. In the 40 days after he rose:
Where did Jesus say the Sabbath is now abolished in favor of Sunday?
The same place He went around establishing sabbath churches.Where did Jesus go around starting up Sunday churches?
Read those events of the last supper for yourself. There is a replacement with the announcement of Jesus about the new testament (covenant).Where did Jesus say Passover and Unleavened Bread will replaced with Communion/The Lords Supper?
Ludicrous in light of my comment above.Where did Jesus say to make sure you take up a collection on Sunday morning and make sure you call it a tithe?
Good point! No church accepts a biblical tithe.Where did Jesus say a tithe is now money?
So you don't like Christianity. Guess that is all the reason you need to attack it on a Christian forum in a section for Christians only. That is exactly what the sabbatarians are doing here. They should be banned from this section.Where did Jesus say to remember his death with pagan fertility symbols?
Where did Jesus say to remember his birth with pagan customs and to celebrate it on the same days the pagans will celebrate their idols birthday?
Where did Jesus say he is now a Christian and starting a new religion called Christianity?
If you don't comply fully with the 4th commandment your guilty of doing the same in the name of a woman. I see no difference. Most of Sunday worship now is a man made tradition, and while nothing is wrong with Sunday services, as there is no command against it, Sunday never replaced the purpose of the Sabbath.
Give me a good reason. The evidence here is you reject everything that doesn't you don't like and agree with you. I've read the forum. Are you not quoting any scripture for that extreme speculation because you think doctrine should be based on "say so"? or should we just "quote you" as the proof for such speculation having something to back it up??
Jesus did so with LK 22:20. Yes you go - huh? you're crazy man. Jesus replaced the whole old covenant with that statement. Jeremiah said this would happen. If anything Jesus taught, He taught He is that rest (sabbath) they couldn't enter into. You've been quoted Mat 11:28-30 before. So yes we're not to notice that has been done. Everyone was dug this morning and put on the turnip truck. In other words "were we simply not supposed to notice" that the claim "yes Jesus did" has no text??
And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment."the saints keep the commandments of God AND their faith in Jesus" Rev 14:12
"what matters is keeping the commandments of God" 1 Cor 7:19
"do we then make void the LAW by our faith? God forbid! In fact we establish the Law" Rom 3:31
Where is an "all ad hominem all emotionalism" response given by me?Your "all ad hominem all emotionalism" response noted.
I see no scriptural based point by you. I do see out of context quotes you think support your theology.the point above remains.
