Democrats are sick people who can't take losing the election. They have tried just about every derogatory name they can come up with to punish Trump for defeating Hillary.

From sexual predator, to Russian operative, to racist and crazy... Of course no proof is needed. The hate they hold in their own hearts is enough to make him guilty of something!

All the while, and under constant battle, we have a president fighting for us and our country. We don't deserve Trump, but thank God we have him!

Democrats know their time is short. After the next elections, their voice in Congress will be even more marginalized. So don't expect the democrats to be sensible and put Americans first... Won't happen
wow...we sound like really bad people. :mmh:

Tulc I have always liked you from this forum years ago.

I find it sad that there are those, who are otherwise good people, but hold a hatred for our president. Hate is not good for our country. We should all be praying for our president and our country... Rather than trying to destroy.

Trump is fulfilling God's plan in bringing the end times crisis to fruition. The repealing of the Johnson Amendment being a key part.
If "The Donald" was appointed by God to fulfill His plan, perhaps we should start by cancelling future elections, dissolve Congress, tear up the Constitution, declare the US a "theocracy" and elevate Trump to be our American Caesar for life!

There are also some key parts of the Bible that would have to be amended to accommodate this particular brand of "Christianity1"
****************************************************************
The Rich Young Ruler (Matthew 19:23-24)
(23) Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Truly I tell you, it is hard for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of heaven.
(24) And again I say unto you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, that for a rich man to enter into the Kingdom of God.

-In the revised Trump Bible, "rich" would be replaced by "poor," and first class accommodations in Heaven would be reserved for "billionaires!"
****************************************************************
Jesus Blesses the Little Children (Matthew 19: 13-15)

(13) Then the little children were brought to Jesus for Him to place His hands on them and pray for them; and the disciples rebuked those who brought them. (14) But Jesus said, "Let the little children come to Me, and do not hinder them! For the Kingdom of Heaven" belongs to such as these.
(15) And after He had placed His hands on them ...

- Given that this President and the Republican Congress chose not to renew funding for the Children's Healthcare Insurance Plan that provides medical care for 9 million of America's poorest children, conservative Christians have demonstrated little interest in the welfare of "little children!"
- In the Trump Bible, however, the disciples would check the "little children's" birth certificates to apprehend any "illegals!"

I won't even go in to how you twist bible verses to meet your needs, but I will erase your concerns about the little children. Chip is now funded through March and unless the Democrats shut down government it is included in the new spending bill.

Please people get a grip.

Should CHIP expire, most states have enough funding to maintain the program for a few months. But ten states would run out of funding by the end of the year and Minnesota would run out by the end of October. According to an analysis by the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, “When their federal funding runs out, states with separate CHIP programs (rather than CHIP-funded Medicaid expansions for children) may be forced to impose enrollment caps or freezes, or shut their programs entirely.”

Furthermore, there would be numerous adverse consequences that would begin immediately. States would have to start shifting costs to cover administrative tasks necessary for ending the program, such as sending parents notices in the mail. And the lack of assurance that the program will exist in the future makes it impossible for states to budget and plan. Basically, states would have to focus on a variety of things completely unrelated to the program’s intent of expanding access to and improving children’s health care.

The GOP’s Struggles to Re-Authorize CHIP Is a Devastating Indictment
****************************************************************
Perhaps "Stormy" will provide the reputable sources that confirms that Congress has extended CHIP funding to March 2018 for all states - given that I can find no such legislation!

It is true that some states have funding that will continue till March 2018, but others are already delving into Medicaid to bridge the gap, and still others have depleted their funds altogether!

Given that the Republicans have majorities in both the House and Senate, why would the Democrats be blamed for shutting down the federal government?

In order to be impeached, one has to commit an actual crime. "Racism" and "Pathological lying" are not crimes.

/thread

But yes, I would like Trump to be replaced with someone more competent. I hope Trump is the last "TV celebrity president" we have. Although I think it is unlikely for him to get actually impeached.

Listen folks, I do not generally, get involved in politics.

But I will say this.

As a Marine, it does not matter whom my President is. It is however, my duty to obey the lawful orders that come down from the Commander-in-Chief. I served under Ronald Reagan. I may not have agreed 100% with everything he asked, but I did it anyway.

Looking down through history, you have a certified "racist" in Andrew Jackson, yet no-one called for "impeachment".

You had a certified criminal in Richard Nixon. They called for "impeachment", but before it could happen he resigned.

This is the first "election" I can remember in recent history, that from the second the man was "elected" people started calling for "impeachment".

Donald Trump was not the first president to lose the "popular" vote, yet win the electoral vote.

In 1886, Benjamin Harrison won the electoral vote, but lost the popular vote.

In 1876, Rutherford Hayes won the electoral vote, but lost the popular vote.

If the man does something "illegal", by all means, impeach him.

If the man does not do his job, impeach him.

Until then,...

God Bless

Till all are one.

Hardly a fair characterization. It is not simply a question of not liking Mr. Trump. There is powerful evidence that he is:

- a racist / xenophobe;
Evidence? Speaking against wanting criminals from other countries is hardly racist. Please show where Trump has degraded an entire race.
- an habitual liar;
He's a politician... show me one that isn't
- narcissistic;
You mean like the previous 3 or 4 presidents? Level of narcissism maybe...
- attempting to undermine one of the key elements of a democracy: a free press;
You mean by calling out biased news outlets that have been proven to outright lie to get the "story" and then have to retract time and time again?
- juvenile in character;
Didn't know this was a requirement for office... he did win the election as you know.
- dangerously inclined to judge all things in term of who wins and who loses;
In western society, that is how all things are judged... think sports culture.
- way too thin-skinned to be a head of state.
Thin skinned or just tired of the lame stream media? You might find this odd but there are people that find the non PC approach to be refreshing. Enough people in fact to legally vote him for President.

Just as when the Supreme Court settles a case "the law" is whatever a majority of the justices decide on (even if it events new legal standards out of whole cloth), for purposes of impeachment "crimes" are whatever the house and the senate decide on when impeaching a president and determining whether he should be removed.

Yes, in theory these decisions are meant to be based on an actual standard of law. But at this late hour such standards are no more than polite fictions. The power of government agents is to do whatever they can get away with.

For another example, in theory wars are meant to be declared by congress alone, and in the same way only the president can only ratify treaties with the consent of congress. However in practice the president can do whatever he wants in both areas, and indeed numerous presidents have, as long as congress doesn't have the guts to stop him. At best he may play some word games to insist that he isn't really violating the constitution, but such word games are inherent to polite fictions.
