White Christian male persecution or white privilege

There is white privilege (white people in positions of power preferring other white people).

White privilege is noting more than lazy people whining with their hands out for freebies...All they have to do is get a job and act like grownups, and white privilege will disappear.

Socially, yes. As an upper caste man from India, I found easier access to many things (education, economic and other successes) in India and America as well. However, per scripture we all have the same privileges as children of God in the Lord Jesus. Like the Apostle Paul, I cherish my spiritual success more than the natural privileges that I had enjoyed so far.

If you're referring to reverse discrimination where government policies have preferred others over you, then I truly empathize with you. Happy New Year and God bless .

When I was younger, if you constantly played the race card, people would tell you to stop. Nowadays, if you don't constantly play the race card, people will call you a racist.

Strange question. Sounds like someone has been pouring you the koolaid typical of feminists on liberal college campuses.

Anytime there is a minority group in a culture or subculture there is room for persecution.

I fit your description above but was told behind closed doors that the reason I wasn't hired by Xerox in 1987 to sell computers was because I was a white male.

Yep. That is illegal both then and now. But they had government EEOC quotas to fill! (US Government and universities are some of the biggest offenders creating artificial privileged classes. LBJ Democratic President from Texas was the leader of creating special classes and locking other groups into poverty.

Persecution for being a Christian is also common in America. A quick visit to ACLJ.ORG will be informative.

it does seem like there's a lot of white people who will explain at every turn how there's no discrimination in America...well except how they're always being discriminated against because they didn't get that job they wanted when they wanted it and someone not white did, it couldn't be because the other person was simply a better fit or had something the white person didn't, it has to be because "white males are the only people who are discriminated against in America!" (tm). My hope? That one day there will be a rich white man who gets elected to be President of the United States! Then we can all say there's no real discrimination in America.

I have not seen much race or sex discrimination for quite some time. However, I notice there are hardly any older (50 and 60) year olds in the workplace anymore. Except at Walmarts.

It seems yes -- because many believe these days that they should just keep their mouths shut regarding most all matters.

I have a Liberal friend who acts at times as if he would enjoy a good flogging. Seems like he feels guilty for being white? He also seems to often accuse others of being racist. Why? I don't know?

The world isn't a pretty place. Many people would love to trade places with you. All I know is that I'm not racist....I prefer my coffee black and I'm 'white'.

Social privilege refers to the fact that a person, by virtue of nothing they have actually accomplished but only by the virtue of their ethnicity, religion, sex, race, or social status into which they were born provides them with an inherent advantage in society over and against those who don't have these things.

Yes, white people have a social privilege over non-white people in places like America. That's what "white privilege" refers to. It does not mean being white is bad, or that if one is white they should hate the color of their skin; it just means that there is a social advantage in being white. To pretend this isn't the case is to ignore objective reality.
