convenient...you don't like the results so you claim it was hacked...

Datan, I don't really care what the results are. Secondly, it was hacked, unless you honestly believe 88& of 700,000 all voted and voted against the US.

There were 3 choices and Time made sure to point out it was unscientific. These polls are easily manipulated by basic scripts. You really believe 700,000 people voted? Come on.

Arguing with anonymous strangers on the Internet is a sucker's game because they almost always turn out to be -- or to be indistinguishable from -- self-righteous sixteen-year-olds possessing infinite amounts of free time.

That really wasn't meant to be "anti-american!" i was simply stating that because i have had many many MANY discussions on this forum on gun ownership... and lets just say all i'm getting back is "It's my constitutional right to own a gun" .

I wasnt meraning to be offensive, but all i see of americans is a love for their guns. Of course (well i hope) this is a mass generalisation, but as far as this board goes and what i have seen through that wonderful media, however propaganda filled it is, is a gun loving country!

Laume

You are living in a fantacy. This illusion of American's obsession with guns, is not the reality in my neck of the woods. And I have lived in many parts of the country. Nowhere do I see this obsession you speak of.

Stop feeding your head with false propiganda.

So am i still in trouble for say that america is "gun - loving" Yet another example is seen above.

And to quote the words of Americans "IT'S MY CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT!"

And we see that right in 11,127 Deaths by guns each year.

compared to Australia - 65, UK - 68, Japan - 39, Canada - 165, France - 255
Laume

Why is death by guns any worse than deaths by other means?

The US has 291,000,000 people, so we are more likely to have more gun deaths automatically.
However, when you exclude the black population, you find that our murder rates are the same as the rest of the rich, western world.

In fact, areas that have banned guns have risen in crime. You are 6 times more likely to be mugged in London than in new york. Parts of the US that have required their citizens own guns have had dramatic decreases in crime.

In your own country, your crime rates have risen since your strict regulations on guns. In Victoria alone, for example, home-break-in have risen 44%. In London, for example, the majority of these break-ins are done while the person is home, while in America, only 13% are done while the person is home... and that's probably by accident.

Criminals fear guns. Banning them just makes them more confident.

I hope that was not directed at me, I am 22 years old, and very experienced in life. I do not appreciate being flamed and attacked, and called a "teenager" for my viewpoints. Isn't that against forum rules?
If you are 22 years old, then it was not directed at you. I said teenagers, and that's precisely what I meant. :)

In reference to the OP, I think the most hilarious part of Moore's entire bleat was this treasure:
The Pope has said this war is wrong, that it is a SIN. The Pope! But even worse, the Dixie Chicks have now come out against you!
So, in other words, if the head of the world's 1 billion+ Catholics tells you you're wrong, a man in charge of the largest Christian body in the world, an institution 2,000 years old which cares for the spiritual and temporal needs of millions of people on a daily basis---if he tells you you're wrong, well, that's bad----but even worse, if the Dixie Chicks line up against you, well, buddy-boy, you might just as well throw in the towel! I mean, these are the Dixie Chicks we're talking, here! How much more influence or credibility do you need? Anybody with half an eye can see that they certainly outweigh the Pope! Let's get our priorities straight here, people!

How anybody could give the slightest bit of credence to anything Michael Moore has to say is totally beyond me.
