Father, I pray that this one might consider backing up a bit, and starting over with a new prayer request of "Not my will, but thine be done. Whether sickness or health, Your will. Not my goals of my own making, but the goals that You would set for me. Not the provision that I would describe, but the provision required to live for Your pleasure rather than my own." May we live in the realization that You are God, Lord, and all wise, loving and caring for us, and that we are to live to please You, not having You as a genie to please us above all else (Psalms 100:3). I praise You, Father, that in following You, You bless us far better than we could even imagine how we could ask for blessing ourselves. Amen.
