Psalms 147:3-5 God's the one who rebuilds Jerusalem,
who regathers Israel's scattered exiles.
He heals the heartbroken
and bandages their wounds.
He counts the stars
and assigns each a name.
Our Lord is great, with limitless strength;
we'll never comprehend what he knows and does.

Romans 15:4-6 4 For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope. 5 Now may the God of patience and comfort grant you to be like-minded toward one another, according to Christ Jesus, 6 that you may with one mind and one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ. (Romans 10:17)
Build yourselves up in your most holy faith and pray in the Holy Spirit. (Jude 1:20)
By faith we eagerly await through the Spirit the righteousness for which we hope. (Galatians 5:5)

Colossians 1:18
He is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.
James 4:7
Submit yourselves therefore to God.
Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Many Christians are like Abraham, having been called out of Chaldea, the place of idol worship, but are still stuck in Egypt in the enjoyment of worldly pleasures, enslaved in the work of producing Pharoeh's cities.
The cucumbers, onions and garlic of Egypt were so much more alluring than the manna of God. Enjoyment of the pleasures enslaving the masses.
"Let my people go that they may worship Me" to go thru the death of baptism to self in identifying with Jesus' death in His redemption, setting us free, to the wilderness of life with Christ, the living manna.

We all need to earn a living, even Jacob, as a single unit, needed Egypt to survive. As His Kingdom of priestly people were called to leave it behind. Just as Christ as a single kernel dies to bring forth His own, His Bride the New Jerusalem, He calls to His Kingdom of priests to leave the world of satan behind. To be in the world but not of the world.

Having left Chalea (idol worship) behind let's also leave Egypt ( things of the evil one) behind so we can worship Him and have our prayers answered!

Have a glorious day in Christ.

What if God wants to use you as the poor Lazarus ?
Consider the lilies then consider the place of Lazarus in comparison to the rich man. His ways are much above our own. (Beautiful picture btw) I think it was that the rich man did not consider Lazarus at all.

'Simple Faith ...' there is no such thing.
To put Faith into action, to permit it to change our lives and our atitudes to other is complex.

We have to understand what and why we believe in order that we can rationaly explain the what and why.

That is not simple.

We don't have to rationally explain anything, that's what faith is: belief and trust. Just believe in Christ, walk with Him, pray, ask, seek, and just keep your eyes fixed on Him. It's really not that complex. All we need is to walk in the Spirit and in faith, and the Lord will take care of the rest.
If we try to understand the Gospel, or anything in the Bible for that matter, with our rational minds, then the flesh will war with the Spirit even more, and we will lose the childlike faith the Christ commanded us to have.

"Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight." Proverbs 3:5-6

"But I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent's cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ." 2 Corinthians 1:13

Matthew 10:16
Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves. Be therefore prudent as serpents and guileless as doves.

guileless adjective
devoid of guile; innocent and without deception.
synonyms: artless, ingenuous, naive, open, genuine, natural, simple, childlike, innocent, unsophisticated, unworldly, unsuspicious, trustful, trusting;

Altho those who have doubts about God's word need to prove for themselves that trust can be had in Christ. For Example See THE BARN
So if you no longer have simple faith then the onus is on you, the person who was called in the first place and was given faith to believe. Somehow the Spirit has been quenched.

Joshua 24:15
But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your forefathers served beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD."
Psalms 32:8
With my eye on you, I will give counsel. I will instruct you and show you the way to go;
Colossians 3:23-24
whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.
Colossians 3:1-2
So if you're serious about living this new resurrection life with Christ, act like it. Pursue the things over which Christ presides. Don't shuffle along, eyes to the ground, absorbed with the things right in front of you. Look up, and be alert to what is going on around Christ—, that's where the action is. See things from his perspective.
Galatians 5:16
So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature.
Galatians 5:25
Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.

The Lord appears in the things He reveals. Seeing the Living Word in all things is our Stronghold. He is our sword that should always be on hand, while our faith-shield protects from the wiles of the enemy. He has saved us, given His righteousness, revealed Himself in the gospels as mankind should walk. Therefore stand in His truth, continue in prayer, and check everything against the scriptures for accuracy, not leaving your spiritual post that receives commands only from the Captain of your Salvation, safe in your station.

Prepare always the armour each day and know that it's His righteousness that is the breastplate and our own righteousness can avail nothing.
No works can add to the salvation which is our head covering.
His gospel speeds us on.
Truth girds us up.
While Faith shields us.

It is not the richest, the most powerful, the most popular nor the most vocal that receive the greatest gift of faith from the LORD GOD. That precious and most valuable gift goes to the poor in spirit, to those who seem the most unworthy. Once that gift of great and rich faith is given to the unworthy poor by the LORD GOD, they become rich in spirit. No longer seeming inferior, unworthy, shameful, and impoverished, the poor in spirit are empowered. They receive faith, salvation, hope, dreams, goals, deep things, teachings and most importantly...LIFE! They have hope given to them through the promise of their inheritance of the Kingdom of Heaven. They have comfort of great faith, and confidence of their salvation. The blessed and faithful lover and follower of Jesus Christ cannot be poor in spirit after the Gift of Faith is given, for the Gift heaps the LORD GOD's riches upon them in abundance!

The time between Jesus' departure and return is time for all to prepare themselves.

Christ said, Watch, therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming

He wondered if there would be any watching for His return. It would appear that great multitudes are watching and waiting and yet He wonders. He goes on to say He wonders about the talents given. He has His expectations at His return, so make great use of the talents given to you in looking after His interests while He is gone. He will return and His servants will be called to give an account.

Hide nothing in burying it deep, place it on a hill that shines the light staight to the Father. For He gives most to the one who had made the most of their time.

I like the scripture in your signature for living according to simple faith:
Psalms 119:9
How can a young person stay on the path of purity?
By living according to your word.
amen
