If you are a gamer, what kinds of games do you prefer playing?

Angry Birds Friends is a good one.

Used to be mostly shooter or games that tended more towards that, but lately more action, adventure rpg...something with a bit of everything to offer.

As far as the violence, it's all just a game to me, a challenge, nothing else is real, just a story. They could make one heck of a violent game with some Bible stories.

Have you noticed that video games are getting more and more violent though? In my research, I found very little games that had little or no violence. It almost seems like every single one of them includes fighting. I guess that is OK if you have a lot of energy and you like a good duel and you are up for it, but I am getting older now...and my energy reserves are depleting...

So tell me what your favorite video game characters are, if you got any.

I like Raichu, Shulk, Rex, and Mythra.

I like RPGs.

Baldur’s Gate 2 is my all time favourite.

Back in the 80's I was a game junkie. I was one of those guys that could play asteroids indefinitely on a single quarter. Likewise Space Invaders.

Now, I play one game, and still play it more often than I probably should: Command and Conquer Generals and Zero Hour. When my grandson got a playstation 4, we put his playstation 3 at my house for him to play when he comes over (we're 7 hours apart, driving time). I played GTA and a number of driving games and call of duty. They are interesting and fun in their way, but I still prefer my old C&C. That game is almost 15 years old now.

Even something as old as Duke Nuke'm/original Tomb Raider, in the 20yr old range have the basics and if they were all there were, I'd be all over them. TR 1/2 for android is even a better experience than on PC since there was no mouse support.

Just finished all the series of "Life is strange"

Adventure, puzzle, rpg, simulation, strategy.
If it’s multiplayer I prefer co-op.

I am currently playing Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and I do love rpgs. I also play strategy games and roguelikes.

It's gotta be open world RPGs like Skyrim, Oblivion, Fallout 3,4 , the Far Cry series etc etc....

I prefer roleplaying games in the style of Bioware games, turn based strategy games and collectible card games.

I like RPG. I am playing Star Wars right now, thinking about trying Skyrim.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is the video game I was talking about. What a coincidence you are playing it, because I finished watching a movie compilation of all of its cut-scenes. Several hours of footage there, took me about two days to watch all of it, but very good stuff. I liked all of it.

I think that the scenes with "Shellhead" were pretty funny. He calls himself the Zekenator, and he actually thinks he's talented. Can you imagine this comical character is actually a Prince? Even though he is not at all dignified like one ought to be.

Yea Zeke was pretty comical lol. I like Pyra alot, possibly my favorite. I just got to chapter 9 yesterday.

RPG, Strategy, shooters, sometimes sports. Back in the day I liked some adventure games. I've been getting quite selective about games though, since I've grown to be quite cynical about most large publishers and the lazy game design.

Been getting into S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl lately. Good atmosphere and nice mechanics, although it is very clunky. Divinity Original Sin 2 was good, although many aspects started to bother me in that game, but the turn-based combat was very well done. Civilization games are usually fun to play.

Oh, and I really liked Deux Ex: Mankind Divided. Yeah, it ended too soon and didn't improve that much from the earlier one, but I just liked it a lot. Rainbow Six Siege can also be fun with the right group, I won't bother with randoms though.

My favorite games of all time are probably Times of Lore (Commodore 64), Fallout 1+2, System Shock 2, Dragon Age Origins, Civilization IV, Mass Effect 1, Freespace 2 and probably 40 others I can't remember.

I'm into rpgs like the Diablo series, turn based strategy games like the xcom series and more recently divinity original sin, open world rpgs like fallout series, oblivion and skyrim and massefect series. I'm also into the old school beaten ups was so glad when I got a copy of the rare replay and final fight games. Shame they never released the original double dragon game.

RPGs are definitely up there. The Dragon Age series is one of my favourite ones. However, Strategy has to be it. You see, I play tabletop games (well, a tabletop game: Warhammer 40k), so I have an aptitude for this. My favourite games are most of the Total War games (Total War Wahammer being at the top), Battlefleet Gothic: Armada, the Dawn of War series, but also games like the XCOM series. Beyond that, I really enjoy CCGs like Hearthstone and Gwent, though I always have to remind myself not to spend a whole lot. Isometric games are also awesome, though Diablo 3 is the only one I really got into.

Edit: Oh, and MOBAs, though right now it is basically only HOTS.

I've been playing a lot of Resident Evil 7 lately, with a bit of Bloodborne mixed in there. And favorite characters? While you don't get to see them for very long, I would probably have to say the champions form Breath of the Wild, especially Revali.

I am actually looking for somw Christian game designers, could anyone point me to the right direction? I'm highly interested in Christian gaming

Racing games, because if it is just a racing game, and nothing else, than that is not a sin, not that I know of. I do like Rpg's, but have to be very careful, which ones I can play, not too many, but there are a few. I like some action and fighting games as well. Just depends on the game and game play.
