Even if you torture that Bible passage in order to come up with such an interpretation, nothing is ruled in, either. And that's exactly the same with the verse that is most often cited in support of Holy Tradition in which it says to hold fast to the traditions (not the "Holy Tradition" theory, note) that you/they have received.
In neither case is anything else authorized, yet the RCC requires such under pain of mortal sin; and in neither case is there even a hint of what any "other" information or instruction might be, but the Church created some on its own.

The 66 Books of the Holy Bible, and ONLY those that are the Word of Almighty God, and the Old and New Testament Canons are CLOSED. The RC and others, like to insist that the Bible alone is not enough, so that when they get some crazy idea, like Mary not dying, and being taken up to heaven, which Scripture says nothing about, and the "pope" being "infallible", they issue their own "statements" which they claim has divine authority and sanction! ANYTHING that is outside what the 66 Books contains, are NOT the Inspired Word of God, and must be rejected as the works of the devil!

So God finally got His Bible, which He Himself wrote not by human hand, printed in Guttenburg some one thousand and five hundred years after Christ died and arose the third day, and then and ONLY the??
And ALL the Churches founded by the Apostles for the previous 1500 years after the Incarnation of Christ are now proven WRONG in all their teachings?
And that what God REALLY intended was for each of us to have his very own PRINTED Bible for his own personal and private Biblical interpretation?
Dontcha think that kinda stretches matters just a tad??

Which actually proves that not only Luther, but even YOU, can get YOUR Theology absolutely wrong...

So if one insists on Biblical Proof for all of one's Christian beliefs, then one cannot form any other basis for an objection.... The above has no Biblical basis, you see...
The Christian Faith Community of the first fifteen hundred years of Christianity, without any exception, including Luther, believed as you do not believe... And I might add that this is the Faith community that actually RECORDED AND RETAINED the Bible you so eagerly try to divorce them from...
So IF you disagree with your brother about the meaning of some passage in the Bible, to WHAT to you appeal for agreement??

"All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness" (2 Timothy 3:16). ONLY All Scripture, the 66 Books, are Inspired by God the Holy Spirit. Unless you are saying that works outside of "Scripture" are also Inspired?
