The Bible says He was and is God, all over the place. So you're disagreeing with the Bible, not me.
1 Corinthians 11:3 Christ is head of the church and God the head of Christ...so the Bible is the one that is correct not you.

Sorry but the post did not show up the first 2 times. Did I mention 1 Corinthians 15:28 Christ
Will be subject to God and then God will be all in ALL.
I know these verses, and I'm sure you know the verses I have posted as well, though you ignore them.
I know Jesus, and who He is. And Jesus knows me, and who I am. And no one will convince me otherwise.
Believe what you wish concerning Him, as no one is apparently able to convince you otherwise, not even with Scripture. You won't believe otherwise until Jesus Himself convinces you. So that is that.
However if you continue to try to bring Christ, who is God manifest in the flesh, down to the level of mere man in this thread that I started, I will have to put you on ignore, just as you ignore the Scripture I and others show you.

This thread is titled The Psychology of the Devil so get back on topic. If you wish to discuss the topic of Christ start a new thread. We all know who the enemy is and you can see by observing people who wander and try to divert attention by posting off topic propaganda.

I followed the moderate/conservative Protestant Christian traditions - faith in Christ, with a life expressive of love, prayer, and meditation on the Christian scriptures. I was also active in the faith as a teacher for both children and adults, including leading an apologetics class.
How could you have done that for so long and not have been saved? What was the gospel according to the church you went to? There has to be some reason why you walked away. From what you said, you seem to have been sincere, so it seems like the gospel you heard was wrong.
This is one thing I hate about the churches these days, especially American churches. There are so many false ones here, that they cause many to walk away, and even many who remain aren't saved when they think they are.
Some people hear the gospel and receive it on a mental level. They "agree" with it. But then troubles come, and they walk away. Others walk away because of riches and material goods that make them think they don't need God. Others walk away by being overwhelmed with temptation, and just give up and go back to the world. Others walk away because they have been badly hurt by someone in the church, or see people living in hypocrisy and just throw the whole thing out. (Which is why Jesus was so harsh on hypocrites.) But you don't seem like one of those. You were there so long, and seemed to have been faithful to it, being a teacher there, etc. So the only thing I can think is that what you were taught initially had to have been wrong in some way.
1 John 2:19
They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.
That isn't talking about people who quit church, but those who leave the faith.
You can't leave the real faith unless you aren't saved. Saved people don't walk away, and they can't get kicked out either.
So this makes me really curious as to what the church taught that you were in. What were their beliefs? What was the gospel according to them?

The gospel the churches I attended agreed with the Nicene creed, from a Protestant perspective.

Does your reason for leaving have something to do with the verses you have in your signature?
Yes, they were part of the reason. I think the main reason was because I was also an apologetics teacher, and the questions I fielded along with deep study opened my eyes to many things I eventually could no longer reconcile.
