I like how the second video says selected scriptures, because when you look at scripture as a whole it's blatantly obvious that God does love everyone the same, desire a relationship with them, and died on cross for everyone. I get why people are drawn to Calvinism despite it's complete misinterpretation of scripture and grace, it gives them a sense of self-righteousness and superiority, even if it's subtle.

Straight from the Bible.

"Straight from the Bible" is when you are reading
writing you can double check in context.

Galatians 5:14
For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”

Matthew 7:12
“So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.

Luke 10:27
And he answered, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself.”

Luke 6:31
And as you wish that others would do to you, do so to them.

Leviticus 19:16-18
You shall not go around as a slanderer among your people, and you shall not stand up against the life of your neighbor: I am the Lord. “You shall not hate your brother in your heart, but you shall reason frankly with your neighbor, lest you incur sin because of him. You shall not take vengeance or bear a grudge against the sons of your own people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself: I am the Lord.

As you can see, equality is spread from these passages, on every other passage, like jam on toast.

it gives them a sense of self-righteousness and superiority, even if it's subtle.

That is actually what it gives to the other side. Thinking I'm a little smarter than my neighbor I knew to choose heaven and they did not. A little puffed up there in one's self. Remember Nicodemus Jesus explained exactly to him what one must do to be born again.

Nicodemus you have zero no control over the wind or the Holy Spirit.

Yet man will wish to think oh yes I made the right decision.

You have it backwards, God choose everyone and we can accept it or not.

The "decision" we make is to: wimp out, give up and surrender, which has nothing commendable, righteous, worthy, noble or honorable about it. being macho, hanging in there to the end, taking the punishment you fully deserve, willing to pay the piper and fighting your enemy (God) to the end is considered honorable by human standards with memorials built to such soldiers.

Answer me this:

Why would God not love every new born baby the same?

Where do you find Jesus not loving someone?

Hate is not the opposite of Love and like we are to both hate and Love our parents by Deity's definition of hate, can God not hate and Love a new born baby like Esau?

Are the videos about calvinism ? I think you're right about your post quoted and about many other religions also - what does that mean for here and now ?

Ooops... remember as written,
MANY (not all, perhaps, and probably),
many are "called"
but few are "chosen" (ever/ always/ for life) .....
stick with Scripture, no matter what else happens.

Without watching the video I would be willing to bet that the speaker is going to focus on verses that say Jesus died for many and ignore the ones that say the whole world.
And as bling pointed out in post 7 Where do you find Jesus not loving someone?
When Jesus walked the Earth can you show me a single instance where He did not show love and kindness.
Even the Pharisees He told them He wanted to gather them up as a hen gathers her chickens.
To the Pharisees He pointed out there sin, He wanted them to repent even though He knew they wouldn't.
In 2 Peter 3 Peter is talking about ungodly people who ignore the fact that God did rain judgment upon the world when He brought the flood. Then in verse 9 he says God is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. God is concerned for everyone.
Then in Romans 1:16 Paul says he is not ashamed of the Gospel because it is the power of God unto salvation, to the Jew first, then to the Gentile.
He puts no restrictions on it.

God is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

God hardens some hearts and they will not and can not come to Repentance.

I know -- man says that's not fair.
He so easily forgets
who God is.

You need to look at the whole passage of Romans 9, God hardens those that will reject Him and He has mercy on those who will accept Him.
In verse 9:32 it says "they sought it not by faith, but as it were by the works of the law".
This wasn't because God wasn't drawing them, they wanted to do it there own way.
Let's look at Romans 1 to see hardening in action.
:17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
The Gospel reveals the righteousness of God.
:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
Psalm 19:1 The stars declare the glory of God and the firmament shows His handiwork.
This is visible to anyone who will look. I know what you are going to say, "God makes them look", let's see verse :20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
God made everybody, nobody has an excuse. Let's see what they did with that knowledge.
:21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
This verse says everybody knew God, then they made a choice. They didn't glorify Him, they were not thankful,
their imaginations were corrupted, and then their heart was darkened. Then we see the works of a darkened heart. Then we have verse
:28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
The whole time choices were made. Then after all of these bad choices God hardened them.

It's really quite simple...

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.Whoever believes in him is not condemned but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son. This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God." John 3:16-21

"Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love. In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God abides in us and his love is perfected in us.
By this we know that we abide in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit. And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world. Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. By this is love perfected with us, so that we may have confidence for the day of judgment, because as he is so also are we in this world. There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love. We love because he first loved us. If anyone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen cannot[a] love God whom he has not seen. And this commandment we have from him: whoever loves God must also love his brother." 1 John 4

"I desire mercy, not sacrifice" Hosea 6:6
"Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. Go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, and not sacrifice.’ For I came not to call the righteous, but sinners." Matthew 9:13/Mark 2:17

"People of Athens! I see that in every way you are very religious. For as I walked around and looked carefully at your objects of worship, I even found an altar with this inscription: to an unknown god. So you are ignorant of the very thing you worship—and this is what I am going to proclaim to you.
The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by human hands. And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything. Rather, he himself gives everyone life and breath and everything else. From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands. God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from any one of us. For in him we live and move and have our being.’ As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring.
“Therefore since we are God’s offspring, we should not think that the divine being is like gold or silver or stone—an image made by human design and skill. In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent. For he has set a day when he will judge the world with justice by the man he has appointed. He has given proof of this to everyone by raising him from the dead." Acts 17:22-31

As regards the gospel, they are enemies for your sake. But as regards election, they are beloved for the sake of their forefathers. For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable. For just as you were at one time disobedient to God but now have received mercy because of their disobedience, so they too have now been disobedient in order that by the mercy shown to you they also may now receive mercy. For God has consigned all to disobedience, that he may have mercy on all." Romans 11:28-32

"If you really fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself,” you are doing well. But if you show partiality, you are committing sin and are convicted by the law as transgressors. For whoever keeps the whole law but fails in one point has become guilty of all of it. For he who said, “Do not commit adultery,” also said, “Do not murder.” If you do not commit adultery but do murder, you have become a transgressor of the law. So speak and so act as those who are to be judged under the law of liberty. For judgment is without mercy to one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment" James 2:8-11

"...You, therefore, have no excuse. you who pass judgment on someone else, for at whatever point you judge another, you are condemning yourself, because you who pass judgment do the same things. Now we know that God’s judgment against those who do such things is based on truth. 3 So when you, a mere human being, pass judgment on them and yet do the same things, do you think you will escape God’s judgment? Or do you show contempt for the riches
his kindness, forbearance, and patience, not realizing that God’s kindness is intended to lead you to repentance?
But because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of God’s wrath when his righteous judgment will be revealed. God “will repay each person according to what they have done.” To those who by persistence in doing good seek glory and immortality, he will give eternal life. But for those who are self-seeking and who reject the truth and follow evil there will be wrath and anger. There will be trouble and distress for every human being who does evil first for the Jew, then for the Gentile but glory, honor and peace for everyone who does good: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. For God does not show favoritism." Romans 2:1-11

This is so true, we should always go back to basics to make sure we never get too hardhearted or too proud.
