Kansas Dem Andrea Ramsey, accused of sexual harassment, will drop out of US House race

WASHINGTON Andrea Ramsey, a Democratic candidate for Congress, will drop out of the race after the Kansas City Star asked her about accusations in a 2005 lawsuit that she sexually harassed and retaliated against a male subordinate who said he had rejected her advances.

Multiple sources with knowledge of the case told The Star that the man reached a settlement with LabOne, the company where Ramsey was executive vice president of human resources

For those who don't read the article because it appears to be another typical case of sexual harassment that never should have happened, I almost didn't read it.....

Ramsey repeatedly said that she was not aware of any settlement in the case, but said that if she had been a party to the case she would have opposed settling.

“Had those allegations, those false allegations, been brought against me directly instead of the company I would have fought to exonerate my name. I never would’ve settled,” Ramsey said in an interview on Thursday. “And I would have sued the disgruntled, vindictive employee for defamation.”
....
The allegations against Ramsey were outlined in a lawsuit filed by Funkhouser against LabOne and in a complaint to the federal Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
....
The EEOC closed its file on Funkhouser’s charges of discrimination and retaliation in October 2005, noting that an investigation was unable to conclude whether any statutes had been violated. The document did not certify that LabOne was in compliance with employment law, however, and informed Funkhouser that he had a right to sue the company.

If Roy Moore is innocent of the accusations brought against him, then he should sue the women bringing these allegations against him and clear his reputation. Take the yearbook signature, maybe it is forged, maybe by looking at his case load dates in court records he could prove he wasn't there on that date, or time. If it were me I'd at least make the effort to see if I could and maybe he will.

What forced her to drop out?
Drop out of what, the race for the Congress seat?
The DNC is not taking any chances with ugly campaign allegations where there can be any possible questions about the character of their candidate.

What forced her to drop out?

The DNC wants to pretend to be "Lilly White" so they can "try" to use it on Trump/other Republicans, problem is too many voters know that's a load of malarkey...

Ahhh, now if only the standards of MeToo would be applied to women - then we’d see how many were left standing, and the witch-hunt might die down.
LOL, the problem is it's really tough for a man to claim harassment. That usually comes with a lifetime of shame and ridicule.
