Pope Francis is perhaps trying to keep violence to a minimum. It could well be that he fears that President Trump's move could cost lives.
It's a nice sentiment, but misguided. The excuses for violence are a dime a dozen. Israel simply lives with violence on its doorsteps. And Gaza can't survive another war, so I doubt it will come to that.

IMHO: The Palestinians are living in a dream world, refusing to acknowledge a Jewish state that has existed since 1948, and that has had Jerusalem as its Capital since 1967. They, and the world, need a hard look at reality. It's worth the anger, and if there's some violence, it's worth that too. The peace process can't continue without a firm grip on reality.

Good move. Israel agrees, the government of Israel operates from Jerusalem, not Tel Aviv. Makes sense.
Right. Jerusalem has been Israel's Capital since 1967. Since when have sovereign states not had the right to determine their own capital cities? Sheesh.

I'm sure Ben was very Nice to Donald, and he and a lot of their voters want it; so what if upsets a few aggressive people. Not Trumps problem.

Palestinians need to have a long hard think about why they have to live behind walls, don't deserve any land and have to be occupied by Israel.

They live behind walls to stop them from sneaking into Israel with bombs.

They have plenty of land, and as soon as they recognize Israel as a legitimate Jewish state and make peace, they'll be given the freedom to govern themselves on that land. Now, will they be able to govern themselves well? That remains to be seen. Gaza has been a disaster.
