When I say, “I am a Christian,” I’m not shouting, “I am saved.” I’m whispering, “I get lost.” That is why I chose this way.

When I say, “I am a Christian,” I don’t speak of this with pride. I’m confessing that I stumble and need someone to be my guide.

When I say, “I am a Christian,” I’m not trying to be strong. I’m professing that I am weak and pray for strength to carry on.

When I say, “I am a Christian,” I’m not bragging of success. I’m admitting I have failed and cannot ever pay the debt.

When I say, “I am a Christian,” I’m not claiming to be perfect. My flaws are too visible but God believes I’m worth it.

When I say, “I am a Christian,” I still feel the sting of pain. I have my share of heartaches, which is why I seek HIS name.

When I say, “I am a Christian,” I do not wish to judge. I have no authority. I only know I’m loved.

I understand the point and humility of all this.
I think "some" people would look at it and say "Christians are such wimps."
A lot of Christians are wimps, still living defeated lives, always struggling so much, failing so much. Yes, we are to be humble, but in Christ we are not to be failing so much, but living victorious lives, praising Him, obeying Him, as the bottom of the post quotes... able to do "all things through him who strengthens me. Christians should be examples of humble people that are living powerful lives, successful lives, not having to shout themselves (Proverbs 27:1) but with lives that speak for themselves of Christ's power (Philemon 6). Are we weak, or is the Lord our strength? (Habakkuk 3:19) If we are Christians, we are to be reflecting Christ, being His representatives. He is not falling down, or boasting, getting lost. He sets the example of one to be followed, and so should we (1 Corinthians 11:1. Who wants to follow someone that is always getting lost, stumbling, bragging, and weak? "Something to think about..." ??? Yes, indeed. Let's think things through and come to a better understanding.
